We had a reservation for 7:30 and arrived around 7:15 they got us in a seat within 5 minutes. We loved the soft jazz playing in the background and the mini oil lamps with real flames at each table. The food was phenomenal and the service was five star. We will definitely return.

My husband and I have eaten at Lorenzo’s three times over two years. The menu is nice because it spans salads, pastas, pizzas and a range of appetizers. On our most recent visit, we did not order wine and it felt very rushed to turn the table. Plates were being asked to be cleared or boxed while some at the table weee still eating. The appetizer plates remained on the table. In total, we sat at the table for about an hour. The gnocchi was the worst in my life, thick and creamy , other entrees were ok. I had ordered a side of anchovies with my pasta but a Caesar salad was delivered (which I said I had not ordered) then the pasta then anchovies. The server never acknowledged what had happened.l

High quality food served in a slightly upscale atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient service. The restaurant was full but conversation was still comfortable. Best of all, no annoying loud music to interfere with our enjoyment. We (and our companions who had never been before) will happily return.

Food was amazing! Shrimp scampi as an app. My wife has ossobuco and I had the steak special with veggies and veal Demi glace and compounded butter with herbs! Yum!! Having an Italian wife she knew what good Italian is and this place checked the boxes! Desert of spilling and the ricotta cheesecake was an emotional experience that brought childhood memories back for her! Will be back to this place. Truly phenomenal! Only one photo of dessert being nearly gone. We enjoyed the food; we didn’t photograph it! But trust me, the presentation and taste were mouthwatering!

Was really disappointed. Almost every restaurant on the hill is delicious this restaurant not so much. The food was pretty mediocre. Weight staff was in consistent and we actually sat down at a table with a napkin folded filled with tomato sauce. That obviously wasn’t ours. Nothing had a great taste. Shame but we won’t be back.

Had to wait about 10 mins past our reservation time for our table. However, the service and the food make up for it. This is a traditional Italian meal. Sit back and relax. The food comes out slower than what typical Americans are use to. Enjoy the wine, the atmosphere and the company you keep. It’s worth it in the end.

As good as it gets for Northern Italian food. The Barramundi is always outstanding. The pasta with seafood had plentiful seafood and a light, rich sauce. A little more pasta would have been justified to absorb the lovely taste.

Our two entrees were delicious, piping hot, perfectly prepared and super tasty. The Caesar salad was underwhelming, the pre-meal bread looked like it had been pulled from a store-bought loaf of sourdough sandwich bread, served with wrapped pats of butter. We had expectations of warm rolls with olive oil and seasonings or a chance to upgrade to garlic knots - something special. But no. I think our waiter was not at his best the night we visited. He looked like he didn't feel well and we felt like he rushed us. Finally the ricotta cheesecake was very good - one of the few things made in-house. Honestly, there are too many other restaurants to try on The Hill before we'd go back here.

Fantastic first visit for us. They offer many items on the menu that are not found in other restaurants on The Hill. Polenta was found on several entree items, and multiple versions of risotto are just a few examples. Lorenzo's is a new go-to on our Hill dining roster.

My wife and I arrived 15 minutes early due to unfamiliarity with the area. The receptionist said no problem and had us seated promptly. Our waiter was with us in a jiffy and suggested a great wine to go with our meal. Appetizer was superb and the meal excellent. We highly recommend Lorenzo's to any and all who want to experience a wonderful Italian meal on the "hill" in St. Louis! Thank you all.

Our dinner was impeccable. Each item was prepared to perfection as if I was serving it from my own kitchen. Even the Negroni had a unique brightness that was wonderful. The service was friendly and prompt. It became our new favorite restaurant on the Hill.
