This was my 2nd time dining at Lorenzo's and unfortunately, the food and service was disappointing- that is for the dining room. On the other hand, the bartender at their bar was fantastic! She makes specialty drinks that the locals/regulars like and I had one which was really good. The first time I dined at Lorenzo's the owner was there and the service and food was top notch. This time I went on a Friday night and they had a limited menu which frankly was unimpressive. My salmon was flavorless. Sadly, our waiter's attitude matched the mediocre food. I do not recommend going if they have a private event.
Decided to come here for dinner with my mom and sisters, the service was on point. It wasn't loud sp you can actually have a conversation with your dinner party. The ambiance and piano player was enjoyable. We met the owners as well who were very nice.
Excellent food and atmosphere. This is why we continue to come back here!
food, service, ambiance are excellent. never disappointed.
I've eaten at Lorenzo's on several occasions and I'm never disappointed. The food is delicious, the service is great. But what is most special is the owners of Lorenzo's are always there and always say hello to each of their guests. They are very gracious hosts.
A new anniversaryTradition. A very nice assortment of breakfast and lunch dishes to choose from.
Typical scrambled eggs , waffles, French toast and such for breakfast. There was also an omelette station and plenty of continental choices from muffins to danish to bagels.
The lunch portion had chicken with peppers and onions that was delicious and roast beef that was ok.
There was a pasta station and an enormous selection of antipasto. Multiple Italian meats, cheeses, olives, caponata and a seafood salad that was worth the price alone.
Dessert choices were simple, cookies, cakes and a cobbler plus a chocolate fondue fountain with tons of stuff to dip.
The meal came with a mimosa or Bloody Mary plus unlimited coffee and juices.
Everything about Lorenzo's was excellent. I was impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. The live piano entertainment was wonderful. The pianist played a perfect mix of songs. The owners also walked around to every table and thanked the customers. This is what all restaurants should strive to be. I am glad I traveled from Bayonne, NJ because its become my new favorite restaurant. I'm planning to take a friend for her birthday to Lorenzo's in December. Looking forward to it.
Very reliable hotel dining room with amazing food. On nights when there is no headline acts you can enjoy the atmosphere and cuisine. Entertainment options are varied and always excellent. Great room with terrific service. Not on a main thorofare, but worth checking out.
Piano bar playing romantic songs
Service was fabulous. Food was good but standard fare. Nothing different or exciting.
Very good with outstanding service. It's what every restaurant should strive for
My best friend recommended Lorenzo's restaurant, so I made reservation on OpenTable. So glad we went there. The food was anmazing and the piano playing awesome. My wife enjoyed our 22nd Aniversary. Thank your
We had a small gathering for my oldest daughter's first holy communion and it was the perfect place to celebrate.
We were there for the lunch menu and everyone found something delicious and there were plenty of options for the children as well.
We had not planned a dessert since everyone was full but our waiter (Alex who has been there for more than 10 years) brought a couple of cheesecakes out as a surprise and a special candle they use for celebrations and it totally wowed my daughter.
Always a great time when we celebrate at Lorenzo's
The food was absolutely incredible. One of the best steaks I've had in a while.
Always great to see how the Nicotras make rounds to make sure their guests are well taken care of. Loved it but piano volume a tad loud.
Next to my hotel, so could walk over. Was waited on immediately, the bread is fantastic! Had the risotto special, delicious. Took the cookies/biscotti to go. Loved the cookies with my evening tea - not so much the biscotti. Great service.
Superb! Excellent. Service, Food and Ambiemce!
Very nice! Warm and east atmosphere
We dinned at Lorenzo's for New Year's Eve it was wonderful.. Having live music in a relaxing atmosphere was a great was to ring in the new year.
Food was excellent, service was great, Piano player was great nice ambience for a dinner background music. Pleasant atmosphere , all staff very attentive
We had reservations at the hotel, as we came from out of town, & because they offered a nice menu we decided to eat at the restaurant. The waiter was very helpful & went out of his way to make our dining experience very pleasant. Food was excellent also. Would recommend this hotel & restaurant.
We went on a quiet weekday night, but nights where there is entertainment or a show, I hear it could get quite energized! This was perfect for us because we wanted to nice conversation with a relative who was in for a short visit. The food was great and the staff could not be more accommodating.
This night I had the filet; perfectly done. Great wine and a great single malt Scotch list round out a fantastic meal.
I had the veal; very tasty. Good wine and a nice desert-the apple crumb tart was great. I've eaten here before, and it is a consistantly above-average high quality steakhaouse.
Celebrated our third wedding anniversary, at one point at the entire restaurant to ourselves. A diner even played the piano, was nice and romantic, def a must go again.
Dinner was excellent, nice presentation and tasty. Service was excellent.
I made a reservation for Sunday morning breakfast on Father's Day. My father is elderly, and looking forward to this outing. Open Tables allowed a 10:45am reservation. When we got there we were informed that we needed to rush to the breakfast buffet because they were removing everything in just a few minutes to prepare for their noon brunch.
When I asked why they accepted a reservation for 10:45am they stated it wasn't their problem, it was Open Tables fault.
We were able to get some scraps of what was left at the buffet and were subsequently rushed to leave our table just a few minutes after 11am.
The staff (maître de and waiter) was rude and not accommodating to the situation - of their making - at all. Other staff was friendly (one worker went to the back to find some mini muffins for my niece).
I'll never go back to Lorenzos.
Was dining alone and felt since I was the waiter could only due the min needed since my bill wasn't going to be big hence a smaller tip. Was first sat at a table with a duty table cloth. Moved to another, was not told the specials just asked what I wanted. Heard the specials from the waiter telling others around me. Wasn't asked if I wanted anything during the whole meal..
Shame though the food was good
We have had many special occasions here and every time the service, food and attention to detail has been nothing short of spectacular. Even just stopping in for a nice dinner, well worth it. I can honestly say that there is NO BETTER place to have a meal on Staten Island!
We had a great girls night out here. On a Saturday night, they were very accommodating. Our meal was terrific - the food was hot and fresh - and everything was delicious. There was a piano player that provided ambiance without being too loud and overpowering on top of our conversations.
Definitely stick around for dessert - the apple dessert was our favorite part of the meal.
I made a 2 PM reservation on Mothers day. A week later the restaurant called to say they overbooked and made my reservation 2:30 PM. They then called twice more to get my credit card number and to ask if I was still coming. When we arrived at 2:30 PM, the hostess said our table was not ready. I asked when it would be ready. She said "I have to seat 1400 people today. I have no idea." Once we were finally seated, the buffet was good.
Restaurant choices in northeast Staten Island are pretty sparse if you're not fond of chains - which my husband and I are not.
We were staying at a nearby hotel and ate at Lorenzo's three times over the course of our four day stay. Overall, a mixed review. The bean soup and a couple of the salads were quite good, and my husband thought his burger was also very good, but the house chicken soup was a disappointment. The chicken was breaded, which didn't work in a soup (I ended up pulling out the chicken and scraping off the breading).
The service was very attentive and a nice atmosphere, although a bit dark for my taste.
Chicken overcooked and dried out. Appetizer overcooked and dry as well.
Was pleasantly surprised at how good and reasonably priced the prix fixe lunch was. I don't travel to Staten Island all that often but the next time I do, I'll be paying Lorenzo's a visit. Very impressive.
When I went to OpenTable and reserve the table for me and my wife you guys forgot to mention that there was a band going to be playing $40 a head so they put us in a different dining room with a limited menu it's Friday we don't eat me Jaron went and they only had Tapia and salmon which I didn't care for the whole experience was terrible I really don't think I'm going to be using you guys anymore
Our first experience at Lorenzo's was a very pleasant one. The ambience, service and food were all excellent. We will definitely be back. The only negative was the piano player.
Lorenzo's was a great choice for dinner. We were at the hotel overnight and after a long day, didn't have very high expectations. The service was great, the wine list reasonably priced and everyone's food was very good. I had the veal and it could not have been better...and everything was piping hot! Service was very attentive although there was a private party and several large tables, the room noise was not overwhelming. The pianist was very good also.
We live in NJ and make the trip because Lorenzos is well worth it. We keep going back and recommending it to our friends.
My wife and I were in the mood for some fine dining. Lorenzo's did not disappoint. The Atmosphere was romantic, a pianist was on stage. The waiters were dressed in jackets, and the wine list had some nice selections. The Star of the night was the food. Everything was perfectly cooked; from the tender calamari, to the juicy med rare Delmonico steak. My wife enjoyed my date night choice, and we'll be back again!
Great Sunday breakfast/lunch buffet. Our server, Alex, was fabulous. Loved the vast food variety from eggs to veggies to sausage and bacon, fruits and terrific desserts.
