Lord Fletcher's Ratings and Reviews
We had not been to Fletcher’s for a few years. It used to me a little more ala carte for the menu, now it is more full plates with salads as side orders.
Pricing is higher which is fine if the food backs up the pricing. Sadly it does not.
The ribeye was $52 for a 22oz bone in and it is huge. The cut of meat was poor and it was over cooked. Great if serving a huge plate is your goal, but the quality to the steak wasn’t very good. The asparagus was nice looking but mixed in onions. My wife had the walleye which is the house specialty. Huge piece of farm raised walleye that had a fishy taste. The side brussel spouts were in some kind of creamy sauce with other stuff. Neither potato on each dish was great. My wife’s salad was pretty bland.
Ambiance is still nice and service was efficient and friendly.
We, group of 8 friends, enjoyed a special time with great ambience. Most of us ordered their famous walleye which was spectacularly delicious. Some ordered steak which also was spectacularly delicious.
Even though it was a busy evening, we could hear each other talking.
We have eaten there in summer which is so fun to sit near water.
The food was nothing special. Salad came at the same time as apps. Bus boys asked to take salad just after it was served and my wife had not event roughed it. Service other than waitress seemed unorganized and very little energy.
Was this post Super Bowl hangover or business as usual?
We were in town for the Super Bowl and local friends highly recommended Lord Fletcher's for its food and ambiance. WOW! Its a lodge style building sitting right on the shores of the lake. We went for the walleye a MN specialty. The fish was great, vegetables fresh, potatoes creamy, and the service fantastic.
We came to have dinner with some good friends and were pleasantly surprised how wonderful our experience was. All the staff was friendly from the bartenders to the servers to the hosts in the restaurant. Everyone ordered steak except for me as i ordered the Sea Bass which was amazing! I can not wait to go back and eat there again.
Our server was very attentive, but not hovering. Great meals - our party of four ordered walleye two ways, the chicken bowl and one of the steak specials. All of it was excellent. Finished our meal with two shared desserts - the lemon shortcake was awesome.
We enjoyed our dinner at Lord Fletcher’s. Clay was our waiter and he is excellent . The menu was a little different from the last time we were here but our favorites were still there, the walleye and the ribeyes. We also like the house salads and the au gratin potatoes.
Probably one of the best if not the best weekly brunch buffets in the metro. We especially like the ample assortment of fresh fruit, vegetables, and salad in addition to the usual breakfast offerings (French toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, made-to-order omelets). Complimentary mimosa, champagne, or OJ is a plus.
We sat by one of the fireplaces. It was cozy. We had a wonderful server named Casey. She was attentive but not overly so. Casey smiled and had good eye contact and checked on our menu questions right away. She kept a close eye on us and maintained our beverages and had great timing overall. The food was delicious and the wine was excellent.
We plan at least one family outing a year at Lord Fletcher’s around the Holiday. Love the augratin potatoes!! Pork chops are okay, good flavor, but not as tender as I would expect. My son did not care for his pasta, it did not have much flavor or seasoning. My husband enjoyed his steak and my other son liked his hamburger.
We had not been to this restaurant for several years and decided it was time to go! It is right on Lake Minnetonka and the ice was frozen enough that they had 2 rinks out on the lake where folks were playing broomball. Made for fun viewing during dinner. My husband and I both had the walleye dinner, his beer battered and mine pan fried with almonds. Both were excellent. The fish was done nicely and was very tasty. The side dish was an gratin potatoes which were also good. The salad was fresh and crispy with a nice light dressing. Will definitely go back.
