Longitud315 is the life-long dream of Venezuelan-born Chef Tony Castillo. A concept that was born as a result of his childhood memories cooking side to side with his grandmother. She taught him that cooking wasn't about just cooking a dish, but great cooking "comes from the heart." Chef Tony's wish is to transmit his passion for cooking in every single dish and for each of our patrons to have the most memorable dining experience...
Chef Tony brings to the North Shore and to all food lovers a new fusion of South American flavors with exotic Venezuelan, Argentinian, Brazilian, Ecuadorian and Peruvian flavors...
Excellent service, excellent food. Will definitely return!
Delicious omelette! But very pricey for breakfast/brunch.
I took my wife for Valentines day. You will not be disappointed. Gourmet food at the highest level. Always make reservation ahead. Tablet was ready and waiting for us. You can taste the flavor came from the heart of the chef. Staff is professional and appropriate timing in interaction. It is priced accordingly to this high level of gourmet food. We will come again. A solid variety for different palates. But not overbearing with to many choices. The choice selection is appropriate. Best option for parkog pay the two dollar parking at Metra across the street and walk to the restaurant. A gem away from the hustle of Downtown Chicago. Have a Blessed Day.
Thank you Derek! Looking forward to having you again!
This place is the best! Great food with with outstanding service. Excellent wine choices. Chef Tony and his team are so creative you will want to go back right away. The Manager Gina is so kind and attentive to your needs you will love her. It is my favorite place to dine on the North Shore.
Thanks for your review Pete!
Came for a birthday dinner with my family, the restaurant was chaotic and none of the waiters knew who was doing what, we waited half an hour just for drinks after ordering, our plates took almost an hour to come out, one one cleared out empty plates as they walked out, I noted on the reservation that it was a birthday and we received less than satisfactory service.
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for not providing you and your group with excellent service. We hope to create a better experience for you the next time you come in.
Ordered medium well done steak. It came almost raw on inside. My boyfriend was almost done eating when they brought my steak back.
Unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell when we entered the restaurant. During the meal a bug crawled across the table. Our usual favorites: empanadas, ceviche, and lamb chops were very good. Although given the earlier smell I was nervous about the fish. Plantain dessert was not up to usual standard.
Do you like Green beans? it doesn't really matter because if even if you don't these are the best damn Green Beans you have ever had. Everything else was excellent too. The steak, the Chicken, the sausage, that Chimichurri, the drinks, everything was very good, but ask yourself when is the time you had next-level green beans. GO HERE GET THE GREEN BEANS. Your life will be slightly changed forever for the better.
Arrived after having messed up my opentable reservation (I clicked too fast when I modified and made the time 2 hours later by accident 😔) - hostess was nothing but kind about it, had us sit at the very nice bar while she juggled some things and was able to squeeze us in - amazing service so we felt very welcome our first time in. Crazy hard to park there though - park at the Metra station near the Walgreens end for $2 and it’s a very short walk.
Excellent food. Great small portions to share. Excellent kitchen with great food choices. Wonderful service. Always reliable and consistent. Highly recommend.
Our server was great. Food was spectacular. The pork arepas were fabulous!!! Drinks were excellent as well.
It’s the best food in Highwood. We split the churrascos, which is a big plate of meat. Best way to describe it is the owner/chef cares about his food.
Despite the promise, the overall experience was uninspiring and priced too high.
Fantastic food, fantastic service. 5 stars all around. Must try the Chupil de Camarones, Churrasco and dulce de leche donuts!
Nothing but wonderful on every level.
Awesome service .
This place is delicious with quality ingredients. We had everything from fish ceviche to goat stew. Go here if you like unique, bold flavors. Chef Castillo plates up beautiful dishes too. This is not your typical Latin restaurant with boring tacos. It truly is a neighborhood gem. 1 star was docked from service, only because we were seated upstairs, and unless a table was being served, it was hard to find someone. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised.
First time and the food and service were exceptional! We will return and try other menu items as all seem very interesting.
We had another great evening at Longtitude315 last Saturday. We each had a cup of the seafood soup, which I highly recommend. Then the grilled mussels, which were ok but not fantastic. We shared the skirt special for the main course, which was outstanding. There was a large and very noisy group next to our original table so we moved and sat at the bar, where it was a lot of fun and the service was terrific. Next time we'll definitely ask to be seated at the bar as it's less noisy than some of the tables.
...or first time at Longitude. Food was unique and exceptional. Service (Ozzy) could not have been better. We won't hesitate to return.
Everything was great—food, service,ambiance!
Always a great meal!
OpenTable allowed me to make a 7:30pm dinner reservation on Sunday, but when we arrived at the restaurant, they said the kitchen closes at 8pm. We felt extremely rushed to make decisions on our order and it put a damper on our evening. I just wish we had known and I would have made the reservation for earlier.
Food was very good, but not hot. Service was average.
Beer selection was minimal with little variety.
Excellent food and service as always!
Excellent meal, the steak was
Took a corporate outing there and really enjoyed the cuisine and ambiance. My wife and I have been there many times for great food and service. I was a little taken aback by our server when I made an obvious error in the gratuity. When I asked him to show me the ticket (because I was afraid I calculated wrong) he turned his back to me and walked away abruptly. I went to the bar and rectified the situation with him. I was not pleased with his approach toward me as a host in front of a group of guests.
The service was horrible, we were waiting for 1 hour to have our entrees, the waiter was not apologetic, he even said that he could cancel our orders if we didn’t want them. It was very late, so we decided to stay. Needless, to say, we would not be coming back.
This is one of our very favorite restaurants on the North Shore or anywhere. The mussels, empanadas, salmon, mixed grill, are all so flavorful and fresh tasting. Love the free plantain chip and chimichurri sauce, too. Service is friendly and attentive. Just great.
Love this restaurant. Spent a month touring South America and eating at Longitud315 always brings back pleasant memories of Argentina, Chile and Peru. The empanadas are excellent and reminded us of those we had at a rodeo in Chile. We recommend this restaurant highly and look forward to returning in the future. If you like authentic South American food, this is the place to go.
Great local spot. The food was perfect and authentic. Great staff. Can't wait to go back.
The food at Longitud is outstanding! We've been there countless times, and it has always been superb. We brought friends recently who asked what we'd recommend, and I could only say, "Everything!" It's highly tempting to over order, because you just want everything on the menu, but be sure (or try to be sure) to leave room for dessert. The intense chocolate cake and the bessitos are both amazing. This small Highwood restaurant is truly a treasure.
Fantastic restaurant, great food and service! We went at 5:30 and the place was almost empty, but by 7pm the place was packed. Our waiter even remembered a surprise complimentary birthday dessert for my husband and that was the icing on the cake to a great evening!
Bad service and execution. Long wait for food😢
Excellent food and service, the plantains with the house green sauce AMAZING!!!
Absolutely love this hidden gem! The complimentary plantains with chimichurri are a perfect start to the meal. Very authentic & extensive menu. I highly recommend the marinated skirt steak—it’s amazing! Do not pass this place up!
It was excellent. The food and service was excellent and we will certainly go back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered (skirt steak, squash stew, grilled octopus, green beans, and bread pudding. Everything was bursting with flavor.
Our server, Edwardo, was excellent - very patient and helpful. He stopped by our table to show us food he was serving to other tables, because he knew we were curious. You can feel the attention paid to every detail, including the presentation. Kudos to the chef and servers!
We can't wait to go back and try more dishes, and we'll take more people with us to share this gem!
Love this place. Could eat her every month! Service is great. Food is delicious. Every visit is a 10.
