Longitud315 Ratings and Reviews
The shrimp and drunken mushrooms appetizers were delicious. The entrees not as good as appetizers. Pig was dry. Next time, we will make a meal of tapas. Many empty tables despite lack of available reservations on Open Table. We will visit again for the tapas.
One of the best restaurants I've been to. My wife and I had the variety enpanadas as appetizer, and for the entries I had the Moro and my wife the Chicago is. As for the desert we had the besitos de dulce... I have to say one of best dinner I ever had. Defitnetly going back with other family members.
The food here is creative, unique and consistently very good! Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere both casual and cozy. It’s our go-to spot in the Bannockburn/Highwood area. A highlight on our most recent visit was the sweet, patient service of our waiter as he attended to our guest who had multiple and complex food allergies. The chef also showed flexibility and managed to produce a tweaked and still terrific meal for our guest. Kudos to the staff!
Must have been an off night ... everything tasted like they put vinegar in it and waaayyyy too much of it.
Even the dipping sauce they give with the roasted plantain chips.
Strange... I keep bringing friends to the restaurant and have enjoyed the mixed empanadas and the grilled beef...
My guest was not impressed... so I decided to say something.
Don't miss it! Unmatched selection of creative dishes from central and south America. Food is delicious and beautifully prepared. Offered in small plates or entree sized options. So many interesting new things to choose from we will simply have to go back! Service was attentive without being intrusive. Felt like we were dining in someone's home.
had the chef's table for our party of 6. . . the menu is so good it's hard to decide what NOT to order. We had the drunken mushrooms (always!), the cerviche (amazing), the mussels (very good), the empanadas (OMG!), the first shrimp dish on the app list (can't remember the name but it was delicious). . .plus special cocktails, wine. . . WE never get to the entrees because we pig out on the appetizers and small plates. If you haven't tried this place, give it a try. . .very, very good!
This was our second trip here and a first for our friend. We really enjoyed all of the dishes we tried. The small plates allow for a variety and are easy to share. Everything was fresh, hot and well seasoned. Our server was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable of the dining options.
We've often said we would return to B food with A service before the other way around....this is A+ food and A+ service! Absolutely a delightful evening with a menu you will not find anywhere! You know it's a good sign when the same servers are there each time you visit. Move this to the top of your "must visit" list.
Second time at Longitud315. Even better this time. Took the family and all were impressed. My son said, “if this restaurant were in Chicago, they would be lined up down the street waiting to get in.” And in fact, they were lined up the week before Thanksgiving. Can’t say enough good things about Chef Tony Castillo and our waiter, Jose. If you haven’t been to Longitud and you consider yourself a sophisticated diner, visit soon. Avoid crunch time, go early or on a week day if possible.
We were very disappointed - the food was cold! It was so hard to find a server that we did not even bother to try to send it back for re-heating. The restaurant is always busy, but it's not cheap so we did not expect cold food. It's was not our first time at the restaurant but our last for a very long time. I removed it from our list of places to go for a celebration or just a family dinner.
I absolutely loved it. It was a recommendation from a friend and thought we would try it. In looking at the menu I didn't know if I would like the food. But, it was fabulous. Brazilian, Peruvian and Argentinian. Whether you have small plates or a meal, you won't be disappointed. The flavors were incredible. I would highly recommend taking the drive to Highwood!!!
The place was nicely decorated but I didnt love sitting at a high top. The room isn’t big. Food was delicious but no choices for healthy eating. Everything seemed to be very buttery. Mussels were great. Kind of over priced. But I would go back.
Great meal. Great service. So noisy! Tables are so close together. But my only serious negative comment is about the $32 corkage fee for wine. Absurdly high for a suburban casual restaurant. Plenty of high end downtown restaurants charge less.
