The food was great and the service was exceptional.
Wonderful meal and waitstaff as always. Just a good all around experience.
Everything was great, as usual. The place is beautiful and the food and service is always great. We live in the neighborhood and enjoy the close location from home. See you soon.
We had such a wonderful experience, the food was so fantastic & our waitress was great! We left cash to pay for our alcohol and tip without knowing everything was automatically added to our room charge, and she called our room to clarify that for us, which was super honest because she could have kept the whole amount as her tip- All the service in the hotel & restaurant was top notch!
The restaurant is a bit out of town, but worth the trip. There are several dinning rooms along with several wood burning fireplaces. The menu is large and the food was good. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Our waitress Sarah was exceptional. The meals are priced right. They could make it a bit fancier with just a few minor touches e.g. tablecloths.
The service was awesome! The dinner choices were plenty and to die for.
If you looking for a place with atmosphere this is the spot. In my opinion this is the #1 resturant in the Saratoga area!
Usually this restaurant is good but this time 4 out of 6 meals were over cooked. I’m sure they were very busy but don’t seat more people than you can properly handle.
Food and service were amazing, loved everything that came out! We will be back!
Great service, even on an off night!
Normally this place is 5 star, I took a little off because there were 2 different bar mitzvahs going on and some of the noise and activity spilled into the dining room which detracted from the experience
I googled restaurants in Saratoga Springs as we were staying overnight on the way to Rochester to return my son to college after break. Made the reservation through Open Table, which is awesome. We were seated promptly. It was St. Patricks Day. All the staff were decked out in green St. Patty's finery - our waiter wore a huge glittery bow tie. He was very personable and helpful in helping us choose from their extensive menu. He made great recommendations. My son had the chicken wings to start and he said they were great, not too spicy. He also had the Strip Steak with mashed potatoes. He's never been a huge potato lover and they were amazing. Not sure what their secret is. I ordered the rib eye, fresh mozzarella, pesto flatbread for an appetizer and their version of French Onion Soup. Both were yummy. The service was great, we were seated downstairs where it was relatively quiet. I would go there again.
Longfellows is our absolute, hands down, favorite place to go!!! The food is always perfect-super tasty, I have never had anything I didn’t love!!! The staff is so friendly and you never have to wait for another drink or your food, no matter how busy! That fireplace—favorite place to sit!!! Absolutely the best, I tell everyone to go there!!!
We had an excellent meal. We were seated even before our reservation time - even though it was the close of restaurant week and the parking lot was full. Service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Our waitress offered recommendations which were very helpful. I had a rib-eye that was cooked just as i requested and delicious. Spouse had a chicken and squash dish over risotto ( she's the adventurous one) and loved it. Friends has another steak and an eggplant dish that was huge. We were never rushed even though we had a 7:30 reservation and they likely could have cycled the table again if they moved us out. Two apps, two steak and shrimp, two other entrees and four cocktails came to just a hair over $200 with tax and 20% tip. Good value for the evening. Will return.
We waited awhile after sitting before we saw our server. They didn’t ask us if we wanted bread and there where long breaks before they returned to see if we needed anything . We where brought our bill before we even had received our desserts and when ordering desert they got the menu wrong . Always had great services in the past . Tonight was not a good night .
Seated right away, great food and service was excellent. Always a great time at Longfellows
Excellent place to celebrate anniversary / birthday, etc
Terrible experience. We were seated in the far corner in an otherwise empty room. It was freezing cold back there. The hostess left us with menus but we had to go search for a server to place our drink order after waiting for more than 10 minutes. The food was so-so. My prime rib was mostly fat.
This is a go to favorite of ours - everything is ALWAYS terrific- try the onion soup, turkey, meatloaf
I made reservations for my wife and I for 8PM after I was informed that there were no seats available for my preferred time of 7PM. Upon our arrival around 7:35 there was ample seating available. Please do a tighter job in setting reservations.
The on-line reservation format was easy to use.
Always a good meal. Thank you
Portions were a bit small but otherwise it was a great meal.
Excellent. Beautiful place, great service, nice bar & really good food. Whether we stay at the hotel or stay about 30 minutes away for the week in Lake George, my husband and I always make a couple of trips for dinner at Long Fellows Restaurant! We got engaged at the restaurant and celebrated our wedding night there together after we eloped in Lake George!
Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Delicious food and cozy atmosphere.
Went there for Valentine's day. Took the entire family the service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent as it always is.
The server was wonderful, and the food was fantastic! We'll be back soon!
Just not pleased with our experience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice restaurant. Food was delicious. Portion sizes were very generous.
Our server, Angela was fantastic. Hostess was a little abrupt with us.
Restaurant was extremely crowded, very hot due to number of people and both fireplaces going.
Always a great meal and service. Chris is the best server, friendly and professional. 500 Union Street Salad was so delicious, a must try. Salmon entree was amazing and expertly cooked, as was the delicious Ahi Tuna. Would skip the lobster risotto, not great, but other than that everything was over the top. Will keep coming back because it’s always worth it.
They forgot about us upstairs
Our family has been to Longfellows at least a dozen times over the last 20 years. We love the ambiance and the staff is very attentive. The food never disappoints. The cost is average for the area. We will not hesitate to return there when the opportunity presents itself in the future.
This was a date night for my Husband and I, he made reservations and wanted it to be a special evening. We were sat in the lower part of the restaurant. I felt very claustrophobic, no windows and low ceilings. I think the hostess should ask , ours did not. Sorry to say it did not turn out to as special as we had hoped. We ate and left right away.
Great time with friends, food was great atmosphere is friendly
Met friends for dinner. Food was outstanding as was the service. Lovely, romantic setting. We were not rushed and enjoyed our conversations and meal
The food was average and light on seasoning. Service was excellent.
Very lovely meal and very cozy place. Well worth checking out. A little pricey for the size of portions. Also if entree doesn't come with a salad you need to be told it's extra!!
Longfellows continues to be an outstanding restaurant - the food is creative & outstanding - sit in the wine cellar!!!
We were disappointed with parts of our meal my husbands meat was cold and his baked potato was hard Our diet cokes were flat and tasteless and the dinner rolls were stale. We certainly did not get the level of dining for the cost per meals Our waiter, Brad was pleasant and accommodating.
On the positive side, my chicken was good as was the coffee and desserts.
I’m sorry to be writing this but I’m sure you’d like to know to improve your quality rather than not be aware. Thank you
Best bruschetta. We requested fireplace (by bar) ... not knowing that there was one in the basement area.- which is where we were seated. Fireplace was great ... but it definitely feels like you are in a basement there. Great waiter ... young guy with glasses - do not remember his name
Very good. Did not like my meal.
Food and Service are usually much better than our experience on New Year's eve. I think the kitchen was rushed because of the New Year's eve bash. Food was cool and not great quality ( lobster was tough and filet overcooked. Waiter seemed very rushed.
Last minute get away to Saratoga, so many
the resturants were booked due to it being New Year’s Eve. I went onto yelp to see what may be available. I hadn’t been to longfellows in awhile so we decided to give it another try. We were seated right away. However we sat there for 15 minutes before
someone approached us with a menus and took our drink order, and waited another 20 minutes for our waitress to return. Things just got progressively worse after that. All in all it was the worst dining experience. Would never recommend Longfellows.
