Lonesome Dove Western Bistro - Fort Worth
Definitely for a specific clientel. Your menu is intimidating for your average person. Unless you have ben to culinary school, you wouldnt understand what most of the menu is, regardless of your household income. I have heard of several of the descriptions because i watch the Food Network, but does not mean anyone else has. Wish i had looked up your menu and studied before i got there.
Your waitstaff was AMAZING!, but a little noisy for such a small space.
This was my third visit, previous visits were lunch. LD was the perfect venue to showcase Texas style business dinner ! Everyone was impressed, service was great. Look forward to another visit!
Other than the Hostess trying initially seat us on the patio it was perfect.
Wilson made our entire experience 5 stars! He was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about his work.
Had the prime rib special. Prime rib was still top quality even though it was a special price. Only thing I would change is not having to wait 15 minutes to receive the check.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Lonesome Dove this past Friday. Our server, Kevin was fantastic; he had great knowledge of the menu and let us take our time which we greatly appreciated. The food and drinks were decadent and unique, while the ambiance was quiet and romantic. The only thing that took away from the experience was the draft right above our table; other than that I have no complaints and will definitely be back as soon as we can. I absolutely recommend checking out Lonesome Dove, especially if you like to try new things and are tired of the same old filet and asparagus options when you go to a steakhouse.
Lovely meal. Didn't know where to take our friends who have never been to Fort Worth before and this worked out well. Pricey but worth it.
AS ALWAYS, the team at LD is the best. We have visited this location many times with family, friends, and business partners. The "Family" of staff at LD is second to none and why it is always my go to. Even with some of the recent changes to the Family, it is still obvious the folks here care about what they do and respect that when you come there, you had a choice in where to spend your money and time. Thanks everyone for another great night of memories!
Our waiter was attentive and the food was wonderful! A bit distracting when bright sun poured in every time the door opened.
Entertaining friends from New Hampshire/Russia who absolutely loved everything about this restaurant, we ordered the Rabbit-Rattlesnake appetizer and the Elk sliders as starters. I had the Iberico pork which was absolutely the best pork dish I have ever had. Husband had the elk, friends had the chicken fried steak and the amazing tenderloin. We shared the chocolate cake and the butterscotch pudding. Truly a wonderful way to show off Fort Worth to friends.
Food was good only issue we had the service was slow between courses.
I have a shell fish allergy made server aware. He brought out the appetizers mixed with the shellfish appetizers and put them on my plate. The steak was one of the toughest strips I have ever had. To be fair the rest of my groups foos was perfectly cooked and amazing and the server did try to make up for his error. Amazing feel and we would go back again.
Have been twice, years apart, and by far our second experience was stellar! Food, service and atmosphere were excellent! Highly recommend!
By far one of the best dinner experiences! The food was absolutely outstanding and the service was some of the best hands down!
Was an awesome experience. The elk lion was amazing. The elk sausage sliders were very memorable. The jalapeno cucumber margarita was surprisingly delicious. The menu looked like it had something for everyone. We are already planning our next visit. Well done guys.
Fine - Loud table location and pretty slow service- good food and drinks
Bring back the shrimp appetizer and Waygu Skirt steak.
Great food, good times.
Nice restaurant, we were a little bit surprised by the menu. A lot of exotic food on the menu. Service is outstanding, including valet. Just a little bit loud.
The stuffed tenderloin was literally the best steak I’ve ever had and I LOVE steakhouses. We got a side of the mushrooms and that really took it to the next level. The taste combos were really great!
Great food and Carter provide wonderful service!
Food was salty, better experience elsewhere for the price
Had the Tomahawk Ribeye and that was delicious however the cocktails were so so especially considering the price. The service was great. I think they should have left the ribeye on the on the table rather then take it back to split for the two people in your party. We had the chocolate cake for desert and that was disappointing considering the hype. All in all good experience but when you consider the price it was too expensive and over hyped.
Excellent meal. Appetizer samplers were amazing and Elk Loin fantastic
All it says and more. I’ve been a monthly regular for 2 years now with Wilson as my server. I couldn’t ask for anything better. The prime rib is the best, service is delightful and the ambiance is chill.
Lonesome Dove never disappoints. Food was outstanding and service was paced correctly. One of my very favorite places.
Quite frankly the best restaurant ever! Authentic Texas food. Venison ribs amazing. Rabbit and rattlesnake sausages so mild and tasty. Love this place!
The appetizer was great. My wife’s tenderloin was excellent however my ribeye that I ordered medium rare with a hot red center was border line well done.
I have to give them credit I had shown the waitress my steak and they did not charge for that entree.
This was BY FAR the WORST experience we have ever had! Do you have time to read this? I would make time! I had a reservation for 15 to celebrate our father for Father’s Day Saturday June 15, 2019.
We showed up 5 minutes late, due to the train being in the way. We arrived together there were 9 of us, we we advised of the policy that we had to wait for the other 6- Which was fine we understood that, the horrible part about that is that where we had to wait, was a narrow isle with a lot of traffic of customers and servers- Basically we were in the way for about 10 minutes waiting for the other 6.
We were seated, ok we were still ok. Our server Joe gave us the extremely quick rundown of the menu- we didn’t keep up, he spoke that fast, which was fine. He told us “we sale wine by the bottle” ok, whatever- as if we couldn’t afford it. He stated he would bring waters for everyone. We figured that was the start and he would give us more options, that never happened. The wait was extremely long Joe came extremely sporadically, my steak was not as I ordered it. Although the food was good - I don’t have time or want to bore you with all the horrible details- we will NEVER recommend or step foot in this place. I should’ve gone with my first thought and went with Ruth’s Chris- The service I’m used to!!
My wife and I went here for my birthday. While it is not cheap the food was fantastic. I had a steak and mashed potatoes and both were amazing. My wife had the hush puppies and sliders and they too were fabulous. Our waiter was one of the most fantastic personalities of anyone who I have had at any restaurant. I would love to go back.
Excellent food and great sevice. Definitely will be back!!!
This was a great find in Fort Worth! Our waiter was excellent at guiding us through the dinner experience. The First Course items were customized for our table and absolutely delicious and every course that followed was nearly perfect as well. We will definitely be back!
Great food, had to sit in back room which isn’t as nice if you want to be part of the ambiance.
Rattlesnake sausage, lobster hush puppies and shrimp first courses were excellent as always. Jalapeño cucumber margarita is the best drink in the Ft. Worth area. Garlic stuffed filet, elk loin and truffle mac n cheese are so tasty. The staff had a special card out for our anniversary and service was great the entire night.
Delicious and innovative food!
The servers are well attentive to you and your needs no matter how busy they get. True southern hospitality and delicious food.
Sat on the patio and it was just beautiful
The food was good , other steakhouses have been better. I did not like the inflexibility of the chef. Even in the finest of dining these days, chefs understand that people prefer different tastes. They make accommodations. Therefore, the menu became very limiting for all members of our party. Also, I ordered my steak medium-rare. It came medium.
Food was great! Wilson, our server, was amazing! The champagne and sparkler with dessert was the perfect ending to a greAt meal!
Great food. Great ambiance at a great price for lunch on Saturday.
