Other great restaurants with availability. My favorite restaurant. The garlic stuffed tenderloin is the best steak I have ever eaten, and the white truffle mac and cheese is a must- have side.
First time visiting this restaurant. The food and service were fantastic! It was a little on the high end for cost but for dining here for a special occasion, it was worth it. The waitstaff was very attentive and accommodating. Definitely would go back and would recommend Lonesome Dove to all. They have very unique menu items that was very intriguing, especially the appetizers. There were 3 we really wanted to try but couldn't make a decision. Then the waiter told us you can mix and match which was a great option! They were so delicious!
This was the perfect spot for our group from Seattle. Western atmosphere, amazing food! The rattlesnake appetizer surprised us as the table favorite.
Will be back when we’re in Texas next year.
Food was great, service was also very good. Second time there and they are very consistent with both.
The food was great and the service just as good!!
Was just ok. Kind of pricey and, had to send my steak back 3 times as it was not done to my liking. At the end of the night we were given a $50.00 gift card, which was very nice but, would not ever go back. Also, was my husbands birthday and was told that if we didn’t order a dessert that at a minimum, our after dinner treats, which come out with the bill, would come on a plate that had happy birthday written on it. That did not happen.
Hi Joanne, I spoke with your table throughout your meal on Saturday night and want to again sincerely apologize for the miscues on your meal. We will occasionally have a miss but, it should never take 3 tries to get it right. I would love to invite you and your husband back to show you what a true Lonesome Dove experience is all about. Please reach out to me via private message or on my cell. Hope to hear from you soon! James Bolet General Manager 214 502 5820
Restaurant is very loud and waiter was rushing us through dinner. Actually, our waiter was somewhat rude when I told him I had told scheduling that I wanted something done special for my husband's birthday. He acted as if it was a lot of trouble. The food was absolutely fabulous though!
We are always impressed with this restaurant. Great food and staff.
This is a great restaurant with wonderful food and a friendly staff.
Gabby was our waitress and she was phenomenal! Timing of food was wonderful.
Went for a family members 60th birthday and let them know this ahead of time. My brother in law was in from out of the country and we had lots of catching up to do. We were seated between two very loud business groups. Had to lean in to barely hear each other. I wish we would have chosen a different location as the noise level was very distracting. Food was excellent, service was okay but our server had both large parties too.
We had a Great meal at Lonesome Dove and the atmosphere was excellent for our business dinner.
We had a wonderful meal at the Lonesome Dove, excellent food and the service was great. Everybody got something different for each course and everyone was thrilled and talked about it for the rest of the trip. I would definitely recommend the Lonesome Dove for an evening out.
The food is outstanding, but it was pretty expensive for the experience. Also, the service to start the night was really slow. First drink order from bar > 15 minutes after we sat down.
Wonderful experience ! Greeted at the table with champagne for our anniversary . The service and food were both amazing
Food was wonderful but service was the worst experience at any of Tim Love's venues and we've been to most of them several times. Our waiter spilled our Veuve Cliquot by opening the bottle too aggressively and then we had to request an ice bucket to keep it chilled. You can imagine the evening is not going to go well when the waiter says "My apologies" 5 times in the first 10 minutes. It was my wife's birthday and I feel like I owe her another dinner. Members of the wait staff sometimes wished her a happy birthday and others wished us happy anniversary. Apparently there was some confusion. Our waiter was loud and arrogant and by his suggestions it was clear we knew the menu better than he did. The water bearer splashed water in my wife's face. You can't make this stuff up folks! The waiter put my wife's order in incorrectly and her elk loin was rare so that had to be sent back. Finally when we were finished the waiter pulled the disappearing act and we had to ask someone else for the check.
On the up side, the food was wonderful. The elk sliders rocked, my buffalo ribeye was perfect with the side of truffled mushrooms. Becky's elk loin was also great once cooked. Dessert was also awesome.
Hi Flava, Great to hear that your entrees and dessert were delicious, always great to hear! As for the service: While we are going to have accidental spills and general miscues during service, those mistakes should not be reoccurring throughout your entire experience and for that, we are truly sorry. Please reach out to me at your convenience, via private message or on my cell to further discuss your experience. Hope to hear from you soon! James Bolet General Manager 214 502 5820
This was our first visit to Lonesome Dove and will not be our last. We waited at the bar on another couple to join us then were escorted to our table in one of the back room that was a little quieter than the main room. Our server was most anxious to please but hurried thru the menu, I really don't hear as fast as he was talking so we asked him to repeat the choices more than once. We enjoyed the quail, lobster hush puppies, and kangaroo taco's. Then we had the Garlick Tenderloin, Elk Loin, and Snapper for main course.
All were delicious.
The food was good but nothing special given the price tag. Overhyped.
Had not been to Lonesome Dove in awhile! Everything was wonderful. Cozy for a cold night and the cocktails were superb!
As always, the food, drinks and service at Lonesome Dove were all superb. We were tearing friends from Napa to some real Texas cuisine and they were quite impressed. Lonesome Dove has become one of our “go to” spots.
The food is fantastic, but the noise level almost intolerable. This is not the place for great conversation with unique dining.
Carter was a great server for our table! The female bar tending could be a little more attentive she seemed uninterested in serving us until the male bartender came over And made us drinks.
First I will say from the outside the place doesn't look like much but don't let that fool you. Inside you will find a true Texas steakhouse with the high end Western decor to go along with it. I will also suggest that you make reservations even during the week because this place will fill up. Before I get to the food, I will say the service is simply top notch, the kind of service you would expect at a place like this. I knew I had to get a steak when I came here so I went for the bison ribeye with the white truffle mac n cheese on the side. All I can say is that steak was worth every penny as it was cooked so well you could cut it with a plastic knife. The mac n cheese was top notch and it was a large enough portion for 2. I just had a fantastic dinner here and I will certainly dine here again.
Food was excellent and the wait staff was superb! We were celebrating my Dad's birthday and it was a great evening!!
Food and service were both exceptional. We were treated like guests, rather than customers. Elk loin and ancho chili chocolate cake cannot be missed! Be aware that the menu at lunch is small, and not what is posted on OpenTable.
Great unique menu and setting and fabulous service !!
Lonesome Dove never disappoints......it is always excellent!
It was my girlfriend and my anniversary. The building is old, but a cool setting! Most people wearing cowboy hats, and lots of the patrons were wearing suits, reminded me of a scene for a movie with a oil company board meeting. The room we were in was incredibly loud, almost distracting. Our reservation was at 7:30, we didn’t leave until 10:30, so they were a little slow. The waiter kept forgetting drinks or request, he would apologize, but after the 4th time it was a little annoying. The food was great, my girlfriend is weary on exotic meats, but enjoyed the elk. The drinks were also enjoyable (I recommend the Comanche moon). Of course it was pricey, with a 20% tip, our meal was close to $250, that’s only with 3 alcoholic drinks (1 for my GF, 2 for me). It was good, maybe we went on an “off” night, but I expected a little more for a restaurant with its kind of reputation.
A must dine experience!
Outstanding food and waitstaff! Always a pleasant and wonderful experience!
Fabulous!!!!
We celebrated my wife’s birthday and they went above and beyond to help us.
Phenomenal!
I love this place! The food is superb and service excellent. We go here every year when we are in Fort Worth!
Incredible service and food! I would recommend Lonesome Dove for any occasion.
We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our table was located near the front door/bar which made it very difficult to converse. The food was OK - for the cost, I would go someplace else (e.g., Capital Grille, Del Frisco's). We were also forgotten in that it took 10-15 min to have our water glasses filled (or re-filled) and just as long to get our check (this was even after asking three people!). Less romantic and more about catering to the Stockyard crowd.
Another great experience, thanks in large part to our favorite server Wilson!
Great meal, the Prime Rib is the excellent. Good wine list too. Service was good. Will definitely return.
The team at LD are always the best. This place has great food, but there are many places to get great food. You can compare the cost on a meal all day, but the service and relationships at LD are priceless.
I work on the road and every time I come to Fort Worth I go to lonesome dove. I have never had a bad meal. Always outstanding
