We have eaten at the lone wolf several times. It is our favorite restaurant in the area. Great food very well served. Can't ask for more than that.
the staff is very friendly and helpful, they know the menu and can assist you with your choices. It's well worth the price. I only wish that some of the chefs could go down and give Margaret's cooks some cooking lessons.
Staying at RV park. The Lone Wolf is great ! Take a night away from the campground and go. The service the food everything was freat!!!
Our meal was fabulous and the service was impeccable! I highly recommend the filet and short ribs! The Raspberry Lemon Drop is delish! Only thing that bugged us was the lighting- a bit bright for an intimate dining setting. Otherwise perfect!
Best steak I've had in a very long time. Impeccable service. Loved the locals night discount. Made it a bargain
New chef / management has ruined place. Menu more limited, portions small-especially salads, prices high-$45 for 3-4 scallops??? Many of our friends have stopped going. Now we too. So sad as we used to go to dinner often for locals night (2-3x a month). Will not return unless above concerns corrected.
The staff was great and our food was fantastic!! We were celebrating my friends birthday and everything was perfect!! Thank you
Loved our experience! Made reservations for Saturday night on Open Table and we were sat quickly and on time. Our table was near the windows during sunset which was beautiful. Atmosphere was casual, conversational, and relaxed.
Cocktails and food were outstanding! Highly recommend the braised short ribs with polenta and the brick chicken with veggies.
Major kudos to our waiter James. He was friendly, attentive, and assisted with several dish recommendations.
We definitely look forward to coming back soon to enjoy another great experience!
The Friday date night menu is a fabulously good deal. Live music, delicious food, tasty cocktails.
Our server Ryan was outstanding, food was delicious and the drink menu had a variety to choose from. Will be returning again to try a different dish
The wife and I have dined at the Lone
Wolf on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the service is excellent also.
Another great dinner at the Lone Wolf. Service and food was excellent as usual.
I am not putting real content here because I can't take the time. Trust me, it's good, I eat there a lot. The drinks are made by different tenders so they come out different but the fod and atmosphere are always spot on.
your menu was terrific variety choices which is great. service friendly made your feel special and explain all if you had a question on the menue
very relaxed and enjoyable
Every time we've dined here the food has been superb. and the wait staff is always top notch. I wish they were open for lunch.
Excellent Food! Excellent Service! No waiting. Will go again.
Jeff was the best waiter I've had in the last 20 years. What a professional and great guy. I'll defiantly be back soon.
This is the 2nd and certainly not final time we will be going to this Restaurant! Twice we have had excellent food and service. There is a locals night on Wednesday and Thursdays for a 20% discount. Make sure you make a reservation for these two nights as well as providing your ID to show you are a local to the area for your discount. Although the menu is not inexpensive, you can still get a great meal from $16.00 on up. So far we have had the Filet Mignon, Rib Eye and Char (which is a hybrid of wild salmon and trout). I highly recommend any of these dishes we have tried so far and will be going back to experience even more off the menu! Food is so good, no need to season. The Wait staff are very friendly and helpful as well.
One of our favorite getaway spots for dinner. Menu is varied. The chef pays good attention to the veggies and other sides. Service is attentive without being intrusive and the pace is just right.
was the best ribeeye steak ive ever had. also was cook to perfection , my hat off to your 5star chef
My fiance and I went for our fifth anniversary. We were running late but they held out reservation and happily seated us immediately in a cozy/romantic booth away from the noise of the bar (it was crowded for St. Patrick's Day!). I wouldn't say the entire place is "cozy/romantic" but if you are in a booth they are comfortable and pretty private. Our server was very helpful and attentive. To start we ordered Blood Orange Cosmos which were very good. For dinner we got a bottle of their Prosecco (which I prefer to Champagne - there was only one Prosecco option but it was excellent and well worth the price, which was not extraordinarly high), I had a chopped salad and he had soup of the day which was potato leek. Both were excellent! As entrees he really enjoyed the chef's burger with avocado and fries and I had their special that night which was Artic Char (a hybrid fish of Trout and Salmon) with root vegetables and broccoli rabe. It was unbelievable! The fish had the texture and thickness of salmon with more of a white color and white fish with a hint of salmon flavor taste. If they have it when you are there I highly recommend it!! We skipped dessert but I'm sure their creme brulee is very good - because we were not disappointed in anything - it was a FANTASTIC Anniversary, reasonably priced for the excellent quality of the food and attentive (but not overly so) service. I absolutely recommend this place especially for a special occasion!
The food was wonderful and the staff was excellent. We will definitely go back soon!
Very nice people that work there. Great menu, a little something for everyone. Service was excellent and done in a timely manner. Would love to go again!
Once again, the Lone Wolf surpassed our expectations. Server Kyle was welcoming, informative and professional. The seared salmon was perfectly done. Other delicious dishes included pizza, hamburger and shrimp scampi. This restaurant is great for any occasion.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere, the great food, and Brandi was a fantastic server.
It is like being at home.
It’s a casino. Had we known this, we probably wouldn’t have made a reservation. We circled the parking garage to find a spot then walked a good 100 yards through a smoke filled casino to get to the restaurant. There we were given a decent booth. Ambience is more of a nice cafe than an upscale restaurant. Also, the dining area is adjacent to a rowdy bar which can impact your experience depending on how close to the bar you’re seated. Dinner was “fine dining” prices so we expected great food and wasn’t disappointed. The French onion soup was presented in its own crock and had a good mount of onion with touch of sherry though the beef stock could have been richer. The filet was cooked perfect and the quality was just ok. Seasoned well and decently tender but nothing special. The chicken fettuccine was the winner of the meal. Fresh pasta cooked al dente in a rich cream and Parmigiana sauce. Overall, good food but not the environment and overall dining experience we’d hope for and expected, especially for the price.
The mussel appetizer was amazing. I highly recommend it. Several of us had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The chicken Marsala was very tender and full of flavor. Also the rib eye was a hit.
Very high quality food great fishnchips good seats great area
Wonderful dinner excellent service. My husband filet was so tender you could cut it with a fork. My scampi was made with fresh pasta.
my favorite restaurant, great food and service.
The only thing I would put a comment about is I ordered the Chateau St Jean Chardonnay and they gave me the Stone Creek but when I brought it to their attention they quickly corrected it. I had had a glass of the Chateau St John in the bar so I noticed a difference once I got to the dining table. They corrected the situation to my satisfaction thank you
best restaurant in Amador county, bar none!
The oysters on the half shell were very good. We sent our first bottle of wine back and our waiter was very accomodating. The gnocchi was a bit undercooked, but still very tasty. One person at our table had the Halibut and he felt the taste was rich. Another one of us tried to bacon wrapped meatloaf. Personally I would never try this dish but he tries it often and LOVED it. We will go back as the menu is very extensive and you can't possibly try everything in one night.
Came to the Lone Wolf for Valentine’s Day had a great meal and the service was excellent... Couldn’t have asked for a better night
We both love the atmosphere. Our dining menu selections are always perfectly prepared. The service could not be better.
Great food, great atmosphere, impeccable service, very good value all things considered. Highly recommend it price point.
Our server James was the best. He was attentive without being intrusive, knew the menu and wine list. My husbands fav place- We go a few times a year and generally for his birthday. They barber fail to please.
Good food great service. It was intimate and quiet. We had the smoked seafood appetizer which was amazing. The fresh bread was delicious.
Always excellent service, delicious food and great ambience
Once again the service was fantastic the atmosphere is really classy. Try the pizza you'll love it. Took a box home with the leftovers and it was a great meal for lunch the next day.
