Service was friendly. The soups, bread, duck, and mac and cheese were delicious. I definitely need to return fie the s’mores at the fire pit.

I've taken my husband here for his bday for the last 4 years. I take the time to make reservation well in advance (1 - 2 months) and request a fireplace seating. Every time upon arrival, table Is not available - even after telling the hostess we will wait - 1/2 hour later we had to ask the hostess how much longer for are table. At that point they tried to seat us in front of the kitchen (no ambiance)! inc
Way overprice ( paid $46 for a 6oz filet-just filet)!
We are incredible disapointed & we will not return.

The Lone Eagle is probably the best overall restaurant in Incline Village. Of course there isn't much competition! Reliably good, but not very intimate because of its size. Very efficient wait staff and service. My only knock would be the cost, as it is a typical hotel restaurant with overall higher pricing . At least $100+pp if you go the full route. Definitely need a reservation. $35 corkage if you BYOB.

The seared sea scallops were excellent and the best by far in flavor compared with many restaurants we had before. However. the cauliflowers weren’t good in taste and the presentation wasn’t up to standard in my opinion. They did an excellent job on the service and super friendly. We also loved the kid-friendly environment since we have a child with us.

Our waiter seemed very short, irritated and didn’t offer any help wth the menu or anything. It was my husbands birthday and our first time there. We spent 250 on a meal and I felt like we were an inconvenience. Not how I envisioned our first time there since we have heard so many great things. The food was excellent and by far better than most restaurants but Not sure if we will be back and we live in Nevada so we are not far away. Very disappointed.

Beautiful setting for a meal. My wife had a Crab melt and I a Burger. Crab melt was delicious but the burger was overcooked and tasteless. I really only had 3 bites and was done. I had expected more for a $28 burger. The service was adequate and the servers polite.

A group of us decided to have our NYE dinner at the lone eagle. Breathtaking view, the service was excellent, and the food was in point. My girlfriend is a real foodie and very picky as well as a vegetarian and they had some very nice options for her. The ambience is the best it gets in tahoe; lake front view, mountain style large fire places and the woodwork makes you feel like your in a cozy cabin.

The bar is always fun sores ski and they also have live music. I highly recommend asbit never disappoints. Make reservations way in advance though, it’s always full.

Best restaurant on the Lake! The service team was top flight, from the water server to the sommelier to the waiter. Extensive menu, had a tough time choosing from all the great options, even the vegetarian menu. Everything was delicious , but highly recommend the Yukon potato side, the barramundi, and any of the steaks. Definitely will made a return trip!

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants; but I was greatly disappointed on this visit (a Tuesday afternoon no less). I had made a reservation for 2:30 (after the lunch crowd) but had to wait almost 20 minutes for my table to be "set up". Then our server said he would be bringing us fresh baked breads (which we never recieved). We ordered cocktails before ordering lunch and that took another 15 minutes to deliver our drinks. The food was good as usual; but the service was greatly lacking. I will definately reconsider a return visit...

My husband and I dined at the Lone Eagle Grille while we were visiting the Tahoe area for the holidays. We were thrilled to find this spot for our Christmas dinner -- it was an elaborate buffet with plenty of holiday cheer! We agreed that it was likely the best buffet-style meal we had ever had. An entire room was reserved for the dessert options ALONE. Thanks to the team at Lone Eagle for making our Christmas away from home a very romantic and special affair...
TIP: We had a table by the window - but for those looking for romance (after sunset when water view may not be visible) tables by the fireplace looked very cozy and sweet...

This was the second year that our family of 10 had a buffet dinner on Christmas evening.
We were somewhat disappointed. First, that price rose from 75.00 a person last year to 95.00
this year.!!!!!!
My daughter found out that a glass of their house wine was one of the most expensive!!!
Last year the buffet extended thru 3 rooms, with more offered. This year everything was in 2 rooms.
All in all, the food was good, last year they had snow crab, this year they had king crab. I don't know if it warranted the 20.00 increase in price. They also didn't have out seafood forks for this crab.
The worst was the dessert table. Pretty much everything had peppermint flavoring added to it:(:(:(. Really? Very disappointing.
We will not be returning for Xmas dinner again.
To expensive

Lovely experience. One slight drawback are the chairs in the lounge/bar.: Too deep, too low, too heavy, & just not that comfortable; long overdue for an update!
Would also like to see return to the old perks for locals, rather than the new system—especially since locals provide important social media/word of mouth recommendations, etc.
Otherwise, although a bit pricey, we always have a great time when we go there—

Lone Eagle has been a special restaurant for me for the 8 years I have been in the Tahoe area. Unfortunately after making reservations using an online resource (Open Table) that required us to guaranty our reservation by credit card, we were told after seating that the meal to be provided was a buffet. It was too late for us to make different plans being Christmas day so we decided to try and make the best of it. The food selection was actually very good, however most of the preparations were not hot and some of them were barely warm. Their service is always exceptional and I have nothing but good things to say about their food servers. For a marginal buffet dinner plus 2 glasses of wine for $300 was not remotely a decent value. It left a very poor memory for us and it will unfortunately be a long time before I return.

We booked another Christmas Day buffet and were not disappointed in any area except that we would have preferred being seated in the main restaurant rather than the banquet room. However it was closest to the food so not so bad a location after all. I loved the seafood and the Yorkshire Pudding dish. The desserts were different than two years ago when there were more layer cakes, but still quite tasty. I would like to see some of my German favorite desserts sometime.

Christmas Buffet. $95 per person. The carving table’s (prime rib & lamb shoulder) only option was bloody to rare. No cocktail forks offered at the seafood station. Osso Buco in a congealed beige sauce with no bone!? Desserts- crepe table offered in advance menu had been substituted out for cooked apples ala mode & just about every dessert was candy cane or mint flavored- cannoli, pot de crepe, even the chocolate dipped strawberries. AND a surprise 20% tip was added on top- for a buffet! Buffet or not, service was not 20%.

My husband and I attended for Xmas day buffet lunch. The view is wonderful and the set up is great. However, I am a vegetarian and had difficulty finding things to eat. They had numerous salads which looked delicious but they had added meat to them. They had brussels sprouts which I love, but again they added them in a dish with meat. Most places I have been to label each dish on the buffet and they add a V if it is vegetarian. A couple of times I had to ask if the dish was cooked in any meat broth and the server did not know. I ended up eating one particular salad that did not appear to have meat in it and then for a main meal I had mashed potatoes and broccolini - disappointing really. At the end of the meal the server asked if everything was ok, so I told her my thoughts. She said that I should have let them know and they would have cooked something special. I told her I did not want to do that as I felt sure I was not the only vegetarian there and it is (for most restaurants now) easy to cater for. I think a huge organization like the Hyatt needs to move into this century as far as choices are concerned.
The other issue was that we were booked in for 1.30 and arrived at 12.30 so that we could sit and relax and have a drink first, but they were adamant that no one could go in until 1 pm, so there was a rush at that time. In between this people were walking around the building and going in through the bar!!! Not very good organization.
If you are a meat eater and don't mind rushing then this is the place to go for Xmas lunch. If you are a vegetarian and want a relaxing lunchtime, find somewhere else.

We live in Incline Village so we're very familiar with the Lone Eagle. It's one of the few nice restaurants on the Lake. However, it pains me to say that we feel the dining experience is overpriced. For a restaurant as expensive as the Lone Eagle, we would expect the food experience to be far superior. We realize we're paying a lot for the location, but it's very expensive and the food just doesn't live up to the price expectation.
The ambiance is wonderful; probably the best on the Lake (although we were there for Christmas Eve and were disappointed in the lack of decorations). Our service was great and our server really made the evening enjoyable.
We love going to the Lone Eagle for drinks and appetizers in the bar. We'll certainly continue eating there on special occasions.

One cannot adequately review a dining experience at the Lone Eagle Grille without recognizing the sense of unearthly beauty this establishment is blessed with. Almost all tables have a view of Lake Tahoe, and there is outdoor seating in the summer. So you are sharing a delightful meal with a loved one at the largest, deepest and most spectacular alpine lake in the northern hemisphere. But the beauty doesn't stop there. Those who work at this beach front two story lodge inspired haven have a desire to live up to the majesty of the building and the lake. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and capable. We were there for our 25th anniversary--Ian made it special, as did other staff members. We expected the food to be excellent and it was. All too often, people who work at awesome tourist destinations display a blasé attitude. But at the Lone Eagle they want you to enjoy it as much as they do. Kudos to the chef, the pantry chef, and, last but not least , the dessert chef. Nicely done, ladies and gentlemen!

As we arrived and to be seated we lounged in the big easy chairs next to the fireplace with a glass of wine as the sun set over Tahoe. The romantic atmosphere could not have been any better to the lady I was trying to impress. We were seated with a great view and greeted very pleasantly by the staff and the meal suggestions were superb. After dinner was the best part as we were left to ourselves and not hurried out the door, finished our wine then had a coffee and brandy sitting by the outside fire pit. If my lady friend was not impressed it was not the fault of the LEG. Outstanding Job.
