Food was phenomenal!!!!! Definitely try the Elk Loin and Scollops, so delicious!!!! Service was impeccable! And the view!!!! Would eat here again & again!
I would recommend the filet on any day and add the garlic mashed potatoes. My wife order the pasta and would strongly suggest to order it from the starter menu. While a slightly smaller portion, she still couldn’t eat it all. We capped off dinner with the creme brûlée. A $50 corkage seemed a little ridiculous so we opted for one of their bottles. Overall, we loved it.
Table service was great and friendly, food was absolutely incredible. We were celebrating a special occasion, and were able to do so unimpeded. Our server even took steps to make this experience more enjoyable than expected. Outside of our table service, there was a generally pretentiousness from service staff. We understand that Covid dining has been hard on the service industry; understandably, there is a level of exhaustion towards diners. And most of us have taken a hit on our social skills. But the thing is, thats the job, service. We get you're burned out, and we can't speak for other patrons, but a $200 lunch + 25% tip is our respect for your hard work. We shouldn't have to deal with the gritty dismissal of a road stop diner as well.
After lunch, we took a quick walk to the beach. I realized I left my jacket inside. We attempted to come back in the same door and found out the restaurant had closed for an event. The thing that really lit me up, was the obvious eye contact and dismissal from the bartender when I knocked. So I walked around the building to enter back in the front. I explained my situation to the series of greeters and was given a canned responses of 'oh we always lock that door', or 'we're closed now'
Look, I get it. Long years of service and restaurant managment have limited me from generally ever writing these reviews. But it feels important to ask that for a restaurant that boasts such amazing food, views, and table service at such a premium be held to a standard of customer service a little beyond the dismissal we received.
To potential diners: I would still recommend Lone Eagle to anyone visiting the area, order the octopus, its amazing. To LEG staff, come on, maybe don't be a dick to paying customers? We're not all snobby, tesla driving tech tools with money to burn.
Our lunch was delicious and service was extremely friendly. My only problem is our complete meal from appetizer to desert was served in 48 minutes. The pace was too fast.
We had an amazing table by the window overlooking the lake. Great service, delicious food and drinks.
Great food and great service. Made me want to move to incline village
Excellent dinner. I did not care for the lobster sauce on the sea bass but the fish was great. The salmon was amazing as well as the ahi appetizer.
To the Californians out there, they have zero outdoor seating.
Great place! We always come back and have not been disappointed.
The ambience was great, the view of the lake is breathtaking and makes the meal that much better. The food was cold but overall it had good flavor
Great atmosphere, professional service, great food and drink - and very accommodating!
No music at all
Food and servers fine
Hostess was rude and gave us bad information
Tried to seat us in high school gym back room
Beautiful, rustic setting. We had a late dinner, so no view in the dark. Next time I would book earlier to have the view or go for lunch instead of dinner. Bison steaks were amazing!
Billy is the best server and knows everything about the menu
Great food quality service. Not to mention the amazing view to the lake
Usually we enjoy coming here when we travel to Lake Tahoe. The restaurant is beautifully located right on the lake and has a warm yet elegant atmosphere. This time, however, the food was not as good as we remembered. The salads were good and the 10 oz. filet mignon was enormous and delicious. However, the garlic, mashed potato side dish was bland and seemed to come from a box and the lamb chops were on the thin side and not tender.
Sat by the window with an excellent view and the service was amazing as always. Daniella and team always always make each visit memorable!
A great three generational family 80th birthday celebration for my wife that was the highlight of the weekend. Ever part of our experience was exceptional, especially the service by Kaylene who is the best!!!
Eric was an awesome bartender! Friendly and attentive
Amazing view and food is always on point.
The bison was fantastic - Cooked to perfection! The short ribs my wife got was excellent as well.
The only good thing about this place is its location and view of the lake. Everything else was disappointing. The food was overpriced beyond reason, my risoto did not taste or look like risoto. My husband got a $40 steak but they did not even bring some small bread with it. We never got a refill of our waters, our server had forgotten us and our dessert never arrived. In the end when we were ready to pay our check our server was nowhere to be found and had not checked on us for over 30 mins. No i would not come to eat here again.
Lots of screaming kids. Food and service great.
One of the finest places to eat in Lake Tahoe. Food is amazing + great decoration.
The octopus appetizer was fantastic. After an enjoyable dinner, we had a scrumptious dessert!
We always enjoy their food every time we visit!
Prompt service, outstanding staff including sommelier, and AMAZING food!
There had been minimal change in the menu choices in the past 6 years with No specials. The food is good but overpriced for the kind of meals served and side dishes are also charged. Drink prices are exorbitant . Locals previously got a discount but this discontinued 2 years ago. The restaurant clearly caters to visitors and business rather than loyal local customers. Clearly customers are paying for ambiance and not the food as it in the only restaurant on the lake in Incline Village
Great meal with a great view!
Birthday celebration for my niece. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our food, drinks, and dining experience.
The outside area was closed .. our server seemed he was having a bad day. Food was very overpriced and didn't taste good . Best part was the cookie that came with my child $23 food. Paid over $220 for maybe $100 value meal. If the firepits and chairs outside were open at least something but that was not the case. Will not come back.
Beautiful setting. Clean and welcoming. Staff is helpful and professional.
Solid food, solid service. I’ll be back
Very friendly staff. they made my wife's birthday very special. lamb chops and scallops were mouth-watering. little bit on the salty side though. THE SUNSET, was absolutely breathtaking.
Our waitress was excellent and she made our birthday celebration so special!
Fabulous space overlooking the lake. Food delicious and carefully prepared; albeit with one exception: the salmon inexplicably had some mushy, runny coleslaw concoction on top of it which detracted from the rest of a perfectly prepared entrée.
Two favorite dishes are the Ahi Stack appetizer and the Burger. Both are absolutely delicious!!
We had not had opportunity to visit Lone Eagle in many months and our return did not disappoint. Must give a shout out to server Doug Palmer who seems a master juggler, able to efficiently handle multiple tasks, tables, people and team members while meeting everyone's needs plus handle requests always-- with a great attitude and smile. Love Lone Eagle!
My expectations for this restaurant were very high given the location and prices on the menu. I was very excited about the menu since I am a huge fan of fish and my husbands loves a good steak.
Service was wonderful!
We ordered a soup and salad to start. Pretty underwhelming for the price.
But when the entrees came I was actually in tears... the broth around the fish smelled awful and tasted the same. I sent it back, and my waitress was very accommodating.
My husbands steak ... we could have cooked one better at home.
I got the salmon instead... the cook on it was perfect, seasoning was great. The coleslaw thing on top was unnecessary and full of mayonnaise. Again, underwhelming for the price.
Overall a big disappointment with the food.
The view can't be beat and the food was to die for!!! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our entire party had a great time. Fine dining at its best!
