This was a big disappointment. Worst wine list configuration that I have ever seen. The foods were over cooked and luckily the Assistant Manager Israel too the food off our bill. I wish that food was better but it looks like Covid-19 has hurt their staffing levels.
I hope that this can be fixed and look forward to a better time perhaps next year.
Very good food quality and the service was great post-COVID . Our wine selection was very good but somewhat overpriced . Overall , we had a very good experience and the ambiance is very nice .
Delicious meal, excellent staff and beautiful location!
Food is good but not excellent base on the price charged. Excellent ambiance, cannot beat Lake Tahoe especially at sunset. Service is acceptable but there's room for improvement. Noise level is higher than easy conversation, may need to improve on sound dampening measures. All in all an enjoyable evening, mostly due to it's location.
The food was excellent. Our waiter Michael was on point. Service was prompt and attentive.
We loved the Lone Eagle.
Went for a birthday. The steaks are the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve travelled to over 20 countries.
The birthday celebration could be much better. They only offer a free desert, and my bill was 300 USD. For that price I think they can do a little better to show appreciation to someone dining in their restaurant.
They didn’t ask us if we wanted another bottle of wine Until we were done with dinner - we totally would have gotten another bottle.
The cheesyness of the gratin potatoes was way too much. It overpowered the potatoes and the pork chops they didn’t separate the bones so it was hard to cut them
Good food /service. Pretty expensive. Beautiful views
The place is excellent. View of the lake ia amazing at sunset. However, food takes a considerable amount of time to arrive. Anyway I would repeat despite that
the best meal that I have had in the Tahoe area!
elk was great, the duck outstanding, the views, perfect!
don't forget the Tahoe dessert!
Our server Kayleen was excellent. My salmon was very good. My husbands short ribs were a good cut of meat. He said it could have been a little more flavorful. The surprise dessert for our anniversary was delightful. Wine was excellent. We wished we had our meal outside. It was noisy Andy dark inside.
I really enjoy going to the Lone Eagle. I love the ambiance and the service is always excellent. I live in Incline and that is one of my go to restaurants.
Wonderful experience, had the duck breast and it was fabulous
Food & service were excellent. Nice to be right on the lake. The ambiance was lovely. It was a Friday night so a bit noisy. A bit pricey.
Food was ok there , however the waiter who served us was not too good, he handed the check to me without check holder, and our check total was $277 , he charged my card $700 , he didn’t even apologize after I pointed out that! We will not go back !
Great food, nice restaurant. Cheapest dinner is a pasta at $35, and then it jumps to $50 and beyond, and that is a la cart. The sides will cost you more. For 2 of use with some wine and drinks and desert was $250 with tip. Get patio seating if you can.
From start to finish, this was an exceptional meal. We had delicious French 75 cocktails in the bar before dinner. We were seated just after 7 in the full and bustling dining area. I ordered salmon roulade with crab salad and my husband had lamb chops with scallop add on. Both dishes were phenomenal but his scallops were hands down the best I've ever had. His lamb chops were perfectly medium rare and so flavorful. Great wines complemented the meal. Overall, a stellar experience.
The Lone Eagle has always been one of my favorite places. It’s even nicer now that it’s less crowded and not as noisy. I do miss Luke Stevenson however.
I want to give Lone Eagle the benefit of the doubt that maybe they haven’t come back the COVID lockdown. But the quality has really gone down since 2019. First, they closed the bar area and don’t have a bar menu anymore. The steak (10 oz filet) was ok, but nothing to rave about. The Mac and cheese was totally underwhelming. I don’t think they’re using the right cheese. Their menu is limited. The prices are San Francisco steakhouse prices but the quality isn’t even close. Hopefully they’ll figure it out.
Best mussels ever! Spicy and yummy. Cocktails were delish too👍
Loved the corn soup, the bison filet and everything else we ordered!
Amazing location!! It so serene and calm. Great ambiance with excellent service and food. The best thing I liked was they have a separate vegetarian menu, which is a real plus point for vegetarians like me. The cocktails were okay; could have been better. I loved both the main course dishes we ordered; linguine pasta was simply amazing! Overall a very nice experience. Definitely worth trying this fine dine if you are in the area.
Try sitting in the patio area, and by the fireplace.
Every staff person I contacted was engaging and helpful despite a disruption of the normal patio service by an unanticipated thunder storm. The restaurant was packed but well organized and calm.
SUCH a great meal and experience! I had the chicken and my friend had the short ribs - BOTH were absolutely amazing!! Best meal in a very long time. Service and attention was fabulous and dessert of Walnut Creme Brulee,..to die for...earlier had martinis...they were also great.
The Good We enjoyed our Diner, we had a great stay , the Food was very good, Bison was prepared perfectly !
I wish the waitress would have paid more attention to us after the food had been served, no one ever came to ask if we need anything else, if we need more drinks etc.
The not so good
It started raining and we had to move our table ourselves , it would have been nice if someone would have offered to help from staff, they appear young and inexperienced.
Special Thanks to the wine sommelier he was very friendly and professional !
Overall good experience , great place
The scallops for appetizer was perfect. French onion soup was also good. The Filet mignon was okay. We ordered medium rare and it came out rare. But our waitress didn’t check back until half way through the dinner, so we couldn’t send it back. We didn’t eat the raw part of the steak. The red wine made the steak tolerable. We finished the meal with the big Tahoe for dessert. It was yummy! Overall, the food was a hit and miss. The service was under par for a fine dining restaurant. Our waitress only came back once during dinner to check on us. We ended up asking the bust boy for refill of tea and water. We also asked the bust boy to put in our dessert order since the waitress was no where in sight. We ended up giving the bust boy a separate cash tip in addition to the waitress’ tip. He was very appreciate of the tip. When I return to North lake Tahoe in the future, I will pass on Lone Eagle Grill.
Often the landmark locations can't fire on all cylinders and this was the case here. Great room, views and location with decent food.....but spotty service. Hit the bar arriving early and was well received by staff there, but reserved table was 30 minute late and server was more interested in larger groups than our party of two. Courses came crashing out, late wine delivery, capped off by the 2O minute wait to pay. No recognition of the poor service by staff....as the larger party and tip held their attention to our detriment. Food quality good, but overpriced Hyatt corporate input felt obvious.
We sat outside. It was gorgeous and relaxing. Service was great, everyone was so kind and corteous. Food was great. We had elk, scallops, bison and duck. Amazing food. Wine was good. They have. $3000 bottle we ordered a $150 bottle and the sommelier(who initially seemed down to earth because he had tattoos and wore casual clothes) when we asked him what his thoughts were on our wine he said “it’s a good Tuesday house wine” it was a bit offensive given we spent $150. But the wine was good. We spent $600 for 4 people and though pricey it was worth it for some adult time.
Dinner was delicious and service was great!
Loved the poke appetizer. My fiends enjoyed the elk and
Salmon and my husband was very happy with the duck. I had the short ribs which were also Very good. The duck macaroni and cheese and roasted potatoes were winners too!
Glad we live in Incline so we can go back soon.
Very nice wine list & Jana is wonderful! Salad, sides and fish were very good. The pasta was not hot but warm. Would have given 5 stars if pasta was hot. Great service!
We were seated outside and the weather was perfect, even with smoky conditions that week-end. Menu was strong and wine list had plenty of variety.
Service was amazing and food was outstanding. One of the best spots in Tahoe
Consistently excellent food. Have never been disappointed. Attentive and
experienced service personnel. Hyatt does a superior job in all expects of
providing a fine dining experience. They do it day in and day out.
Great food, beautiful views, and attentive staff.
Lovely atmosphere and we had a perfect view of the Lake. The ahi tuna, halibut and steak were excellent. The Elk and Bison were good but not amazing. Regardless, this was a perfect place for a birthday celebration.
The food was excellent. The wait staff was good, but the waiter wine recommendation was off. Prices were quite high, though the al-a-carte menu allowed me to order what I wanted.
Tourist spot, overpriced nice views, with good service. Wine list is comically expensive.
I had halibut which was awesome
Would have liked more squash one small piece. So menu was deceiving
I expected pricy so can’t complain about that. service Was awesome
Beautiful location. Did not feel the quality of food justified the prices. Service was great
