Lone Eagle Grille
Thanksgiving Dinner. We went for Thanksgiving dinner which is a price fix $110/person so very pricey. We would have liked the rustic part of the lodge, but they put us in the modern area which looks like a hotel banquet hall. Although the lake is close, it was dark so nothing to see. They must have been short on silverware as i had two salad forks and my son had no fork. Also no spoons or soup spoons without tracking down a server.
The food was an excellent section of typical Thanksgiving faire (turkey, ham, prime rib, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce..) and several special areas with seafood (crab, shrimp, ...) , a vegetarian area, a charcuterie area, duck station, and a soup area. The food was all very good with the large shrimp, ham, and turkey high on my list. There also were a few tables of desserts with a white chocolate mouse and a cherry crumble with fresh cream as my favorites. The wait staff were super friendly and around to help.
We love going to the Lone Eagle Grill for Thanksgiving but this year we felt that the dessert table setup just wasn’t as nice as in previous years when it was in the middle room. Other than that, everything else was excellent.
It was great, although they changed my favorite thing on the menu, which I think was the beer on the menu., the Lamb chops. Now it’s lamb shank. Please put it back on the menu. Sauté mushrooms also tasted different. They should be simple, salt and pepper. They were sweet this time.
The Thanksgiving buffet was awesome. The choice of food was amazing and the service was excellent. We can’t wait for the Christmas meal.
Wonderful for Thanksgiving dinner. The buffet had so many great options. It hard to pick our favorite dish.
We are locals, it’s such a stunning and relaxing environment. 525$ for 3 people is outrageous.
We had a non expensive bottle of wine and 3 espressos. The sea food was frozen and not fresh. The selections where good.
Wonderful food and great service. A fantastic place to dine in Incline Village.
Great ambiance and service. Food good but you definitely pay for the location. The octopus appetizer was amazing.
Great ambiance, selection of terrific wines, quality of food and service staff. Our “Go To” place for memorable occasions for sure. Thank you Lone Eagle!
Always a wonderful experience. Food and atmosphere are fantastic. ALways enjoy after dinner time sitting by the outdoor fire pit.
The food and service was impeccable. I am so excited to go back in the future!
The food and beverage were way over priced and off the chart.
The bar and restaurant are in need of a serious face lift.
In fact the ancient and warn out wobbly bar stools are an accident waiting to happen!!!!!
The lake view and mountain scenery is fantastic.
I made my reservation on Nov 4th for Nov 16th. It was my husbands 55th birthday. I asked for a window seat but did not get it. First the hostess sat us down by a party that was so loud we could not even hear across the table or talk to each other. Then we were moved to a table that was in view of the kitchen and we witnessed a couple having a fight and security was called in. Other than that our experience was good. I was very surprised to find your corkage fee to be 50.00 per bottle. That seems a little outrageous. We had two beautiful bottles we brought. The corkage fee will definitely be a factor when we return and are choosing a restaurant to dine in.
Everything was amazing, from the outdoor patio for drinks to the warm atmosphere for dining. The food was outstanding and the service fantastic.
Our waitress was wonderful. The negative was the table was soooo/tooo large; we could hardly speak to one another due to the noise and the distance. great food.
Hit or miss with the food. Beet salad was great but my salmon was nothing special and barley any crab.
The way they have you check in for your table, then check in again was awkward. I found the hostess to be very rude. I was also told I had the best view in the room, and when we got to the table someone else was sitting there. We had to wait for them to clear up the issue. Which meant we had a so-so table. Our table ordered first but was last to get bread. They forgot one of our sides. I've dreamed about being able to someday go there and eat and for me it could have been a better feeling.
Great overall experience celebrating my Mom’s birthday! Thank you so very much for the great service and excellent vegetarian dishes. Expect to invest a little extra of your time and money here, but it’s worth it!
Outstanding experience, we have visited the restaurant, bar, fire pit and pier on several occasions, always a favorable experience.
Lone Eagle Grille has lots of delicious food to chose from especially the elk and bison! The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful which made the entire experience a must if you are in Tahoe!
The meal and the service were both terrific.
Our recent dinner was another "made in heaven" experience. We are always amazed at how the surroundings, food and service demonstrate that the Lone Eagle has no equal. They make it look so easy!!!!!
I usually love this place. We go regularly. This time I ordered a Woodford Manhattan. It was delicious so I had a second one. The bill came and my two drinks were $74! Mind blown! And really disappointed in the explanation that the services that help create the drink are what hikes the price up - bartender, etc.
Great service! I am vegetarian and they had a special menu. They waiter recommended a side of grilled mushrooms, but after noticing my main course came with the same mushrooms, he brought us a side of potatoes on the house! We were celebrating our anniversary and got a free desert too! Valet was free and we appreciated that because it was cold outside. I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family.
Service was good, food was terrible (cold, no favor, etc.). Thanks for reminding me to YELP my experience.
Good place to entertain guests
Awesome dinner. Amazing food. My first time there and had a Great experience.
Birthday dinner with family. Service was outstanding! I’ve been here before when service was so so. Tonight, above and beyond. Ambiance is always great.....it’s on Lake Tahoe...enough said. The food was very salty. Next time I would order No or Lightly salted. All items ordered by 4 different people were too salty. A bit pricey, but I already knew that....I’ve been here before. Overall, great time and great service. Great Birthday. Thanks for the Birthday dessert and candle.
Sitting outside on the patio at sunset was idyllic
Food and service was wonderful.
My halibut was over cooked and our food took forever even though we were there long before the rush. Everyone else at the table said food was “just ok”
The venue is beautiful but food / service were mediocre.
I asked for a bowl of the soup and received a cup size for $12.00. The value was horrible!
Fantastic experience. Great food, amazing service. Sure noise level was high but we had an amazing time.
Unfortunately my husband has celiac disease . We let the waitress and waiter know he has to be 100% gluten free. He was glutinized big time. We usually eat here twice a year. First time this happened to him here. I want the kitchen staff to be more aware of food prep for people with gluten allergies.
The food was good but certainly not outstanding for the price. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and were placed at a table in an area that was so loud you couldn’t hold a conversation Also the service was meager because the restaurant was so busy. I have been to the Lone Eagle many times and this was by far our worst experience. I hope it was just an outlier
Good food, good service and is a great location for nice formal dining. Recommended
It was amazing..best steak I have ever had. And the service was excellent.
Delicious food and beverage with and amazing view of the lake. I gave it a 4 for value because the price point is a bit steep, but expected for touristy Tahoe.
