Lone Eagle Grille
The food and service was exceptional! The waiters were friendly and provided us a complimentary dessert. I will definitely be back!
The view is spectacular and the servers are extraordinary. The food was delicious. Pricey but worth it for our last night in Lake Tahoe.
Delicious meal, beautiful setting, outstanding service!
We absolutely love going to dinner here! Everyone is always very friendly and accommodating and the food is outstanding! The live music was the cherry on top!! Thank you for the wonderful Anniversary dinner!
Beautiful Resturant nice rustic interiors with Great views! Since it sat on Hyatt’s property it should be a good place to spend Mother’s Day dinner.
The food was very good. My husband had the salmon and I had the beef short rib both gets 5 stars.
Now let’s review the service starting with the hostess : the most snobby unaccommodating hostess I’ve ever encounter - she either needs service training or go find a new job so she doesn’t have work with people. What a turn off to start our evening. The hostess place us at a table right next to a blazing hot fire place - I could feel the heat before we even sat down. I ask if we can be moved - the hostess replied with it’s the only table available then she points to the tables by the window and says those are all reserved. She failed to offer any other table apparently unconvinced her to do her job. with a dining room with many tables unoccupied and away from the blazing hot fireplace one would think she could have found a table for us. I would give her a negative star rating.
It’s all about experiences we go out to dine at a fine establishment and willing to spend money but after encounter with the terrible hostess I didn’t want to spend time or money !
The only saving grace was our server Michael was very attentive and helpful.
Note to management : I would recommend your Resturant to all my friends and family but you need to train your host staff - acting snobby is very unappealing -
While I would recommend this to anybody because of its location right on Lake Tahoe, Mother’s Day was disappointing. We have been to lone Eagle numerous times and this was our worst experience. We had to send one entrée back and never received one dessert. Luckily the restaurant sits on Lake Tahoe and that covers for the bad experience!
Sadly, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. The food quality and service are not the same as it once was. The views are still terrific
I had made our reservation quite some time ago. We arrived 15 minutes early. I requested a window seat and said we would be willing to wait. Maddy told me to come back up at 12. I did and again requested a window seat. She told me the table was being set. They seated us 3 rows away from the windows and I was told that the window seats were for parties of 4. We each ordered a grilled pork and cheese sandwich. We couldn’t find any cheese on it. For the price I was completely disappointed. The bar tender was the highlight of our experience. Her name was Gabby. She was gracious and friendly.
Great view, solid service and the food and value we great.
A little noisy for my taste. But the food was excellent. Not overly complicated. But great quality and taste was amazing. I’ve been twice recently. Had the filet once. Very tender and flavorful. Had the salmon the second visit. Best salmon I’ve ever had (and I live in the Pacific.Northwest so I have very high expectations for salmon).
Everything was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was outstanding. The negative was the $50 corkage per bottle of wine and the fact that they added a 20% tip on the corkage as well. We had a table of six and the tip is added but onto the corkage as well is a bad idea. Despite all of the positives I left with a bad impression. I would suggest no corkage, dont allow outside bottles of wine and you won't have someone like me with a bad impression despite the excellent service and food. BTW, did not need a sommelier to pour the wines we brought, I can easily do that myself.
Awesome as usual.
I dined for lunch and dinner. Both meals were very good. Attentive, friendly service. Will absolutely return
We expected some live music on the evening we dined, but the food was wonderful. This restaurant is a splurge but well worth it!
We spent our 42nd anniversary dinner at Lone Eagle Grille and had a wonderful evening. The view is outstanding, as is the food and ambiance. Service is excellent as well. A special place for a special occasion!
Beyond the view things go downhill. Food ok but overpriced with service that doesn't justify the cost as well. Plenty of better choices nearby...
Amazing meal and views. Love this restaurant. Sitting on the shores of Lake Tahoe and enjoying a wonderful meal is always my favorite place to be.
we had the duck breast with the polenta and the scallops with cauliflower . Bofh were amazing!!
Super fun. Great views and Luke was great
Great wood fired steaks and wood fired salmon.
Definitely outstanding food. wine list was mostly California and a bit too expensive.
I would go for the ambiance alone. Food prices are comparable to other lake front restaurants. The wine prices are outrageous We celebrated a friends birthday. Another friend had called ahead and ordered a bottle of wine (& paid for it) the server had no knowledge of this. It took some investigating to finally get the wine. Our server Jenny was very friendly, engaging & knew the menu well. However, it took over 30 minutes to get our ordered placed. She was busy and I suspect she had too many tables to cover. Our busser was wonderful too. The busser had a mishap and all of our food that was to be put in doggie bags (and there was a lot) was dropped in the kitchen. The manager came over and offered us only the potatoes (a fresh order) not the lamp chops, steak, and halibut that were to go home. We all work in the industry and know this happens. I felt bad for the busser. They did comp the birthday dessert. It was just a strange evening. The setting is lovely and the servers are very well trained. Just be prepared to shell out $$$. We are local and have so many other places to go so we most likely will only go the bar in the future.
Great food but spectacular service.
Great food, excellent service and superb views. Never disappoints.
We absolutely love this venue but the service was very disappointing. We waited nearly 30 minutes before we were even asked if we would like drinks. We had to ask several times for the sommelier so we could order wine and we didn’t get the wine until after the appetizers arrived. I never received my appetizer, the server forgot to order it so we received one appetizer for the table. I ordered the salmon and the dish is incredibly rich, it would have been much better with a side but the server didn’t make any suggestions for sides so I didn’t think to order one, it would have been a nice suggestion. The restaurant wasn’t very busy so I’m sure the server was busy but we had very long delays between service and overall were very disappointed. We really enjoyed the live music!
Always a wonderful time at Lone Eagle Grill. First time taking the kids (4.5) and they both loved the food. The build your own cookie was a great idea!
Menu very lacking. Very disappointed that I took the extended family here for easter
We were very disappointed that Easter brunch was not being served. . And the menu in its place was limited. A simple basic glass of Chardonnay cost $28!!! Unfortunately, we felt compelled to leave and dine elsewhere.
Awesome as usual!
I’ve been to lone Eagle Grille quite often and always a good experience. We went on Saturday before Mother’s Day (6 adults) so it wasn’t a holiday. However I just feel they are so overpriced for what you get. Prices seemed to have gone up dramatically. Next time just drinks/appetizers in the bar by the fireplace. Great music as always. View is beautiful but by the time we ate you couldn’t see out anyway. I do love this place. Vibe is great and nice to watch sunset on patio with a glass of wine by fire pit.
Great place for a special birthday dinner or just date night. The food is outstanding and the views of the lake are amazing.
Excellent food, service and everyone did everything to accommodate my husbands hearing impairment. I also want thank Matthew for promptly returning email. Was a great birthday for my husband. We can’t wait to return.
AMAZING DINNER! we were super lucky in having sherry as our server!!! a genuine smile and caring answers, such a treat! our meal was over th etop! a veggie menu that even i ordered from, not even being aa vegan !!!your entire staff was very happy to be at work, all smiles and it just felt good! michelle is wonderful with her wine pours! never missed my glass being dwon too far!!! thank you! couldnt have enjoyed the dinner anymore than we did. in fact had sunday brunch and dinner again.
look forward to our next trip up your way!!! dont change anything- just wait, we'll be back!!!!
Food has very good quality, fish is fresh. Bake Tahoe sweet is really nice.
The decor is amazing with the 2 rock Fire places, open wood beams, and raw wood tables and chairs on the Tahoe shore. No disputing the atmosphere is great but I feel thats the justification behind the price. Although delicious I don’t know if 2 small Scollops are worth $23 or 2 small lamb chops are worth $48. I don’t mind paying the price if the porción are fare just seemed small.
We did make reservations for 2 but still had a half hour wait when they tried to place us on a large shared table. We refused and went back and waited a few more minutes.
Again back to the atmosphere, for that location I’m not sure if there is another place that close to the water.
They had us wait 45minutes with our reservation. We had apps, cocktails while waiting and the app was good but the drinks were not. Finally got seated and hoped we would get decent seating for the wait, but just got seated on the other side of the fireplace where we had been waiting and it was not pretty. Had bison and elk along with the special dessert but overall very disappointed.
Waited over an hour for a table when we had reservations. Service was slow. Food was good. The manager did send a complimentary bottle of Champagne after we complained.
Great setting and food was very good. My pet peeve is that I am a wine drinker and this is the first time I haven't had a glass of wine at dinner in a very long time. I always bring my own bottle if I can't find something on the wine list. In this case, the wines were marked up 400% over retail and the corkage fee was $50 a bottle. Are you kidding me? This is a matter of principle. If the wine manager doesn't want people to drink wine he is doing a great job. The restaurant is very attractive inside and sits on the lake but that doesn't translate into "Now let's make them pay dearly if they want some wine". A real wine person understands that drinking is a tradition and that tradition should be honored with reasonable mark-ups so guests can enjoy the nice food, the nice setting and, yes, a nice bottle of wine.
Great spot in Incline. The service is always great and the food is top notch. A bit pricey but you can't beat the location/experience. We hit this place on every visit.
We have enjoyed NYE here for many years. When they are not in completion with expensive menus at other restaurants common on 12/31, the experience lacks “bang for the buck” and is not that interesting. Markups on bottles of wine seemed especially steep.
