London Grill Ratings and Reviews
Just fantastic absolutely amazing. The food was ridiculous!!! Best Burger I've ever had...ever. Our food guide, because I refuse to call her a server because she was just that good, Anna(I hope I spelled this correctly and didn't miss a hidden letter) was just amazing and made our visit one of the best restaurant experiences we ever had.
I love the ambiance of this little place. I went to brunch with some friends and it was lovely. There were many people but it was quiet and you didn't feel overwhelmed. The food was very good. Only complaint was the waiter was hard to track down. We never got refills of our coffees, which was a little disappointing since it was 11am!
We went after the parade . The host was very friendly, the waitress was great. The food was good. The ambiance was great. My sonand I came in right after the parade ended and was surprised that a table was available. After being on our feet for 6 hours of standing in mud we where just happy to sit, go to the bathroom and me too get a cocktail( we where ubering back to De. ) drinks where great, service great, and had a blast. Being in the restaurant business for 25 years I know long shifts, drunk guests , and an influx of patrons can make for a miserable experience all around. Everyone was friendly throughout.
We had 8 people for Super Bowl. It was such a fun night. The staff was great, happy to have us, had extra TVs brought in. No extra charge for our reservation, the food came out quickly which was delicious, drinks served fast. Shout out to Jonathan our server, who did a fantastic job during all the craziness, even got hugs for the big win ! So happy to find this gem to watch history for Philadelphia.
we came for brunch on super bowl sunday , i have been before and everything was great but i would say service was a little scattered for our brunch. it seemed like a different server / bartender/ bus boy came to the table every time and things weren’t followed up on . i have been a waitress and i know large parties can be hectic but consistency with service would have been appreciated . maybe it was just because it was a big day for the bar but the restaurant did not seem busy enough for the service we received .
Love this place, as they have a really nice brunch and bloody mary bar, was a bit sad they did not have the salmon benedict for brunch. Service was a little slow, but we had a trainee so it's all good. Very kind staff, good food, and you can sit outside and brunch...what more do you need?
The wait staff at the London Grill was amazing. They accommodated all our needs despite the fact that we changed the number of our party several times. The food was excellent; the Bloody Mary bar was so much fun. Thank you for making our special event so memorable.
Recently had the opportunity to return to London for lunch. Three of us had a special occasion. The service was haphazard even though we were the only ones there for the first Half hour. We all ordered the burger, which had always been one of the best in the city. It was overcooked, even though we had all ordered them "medium". Our waitstaff forgot several requests and we got the feeling that this was no longer a popular place. Only one other table arrived during the hour and a half we were there. Unimpressed and we all agreed we would not go back.
The food was great! The Fried Pickles are a must! The Build your own Bloody Bar is also phenomenal. Service was less than stellar...our server "forgot" several things and seemed to do a lot of standing around when she could have been tending to her tables instead.
The food was very good, had the steak, companions had the fish & chips and the burger. I got to sit in the piano bar area for the first time, great ambiance. Food came out a little slow which is okay to enjoy the setting, just not if you have somewhere to be other than there.
Would recommend it!
Hadn't been to London in awhile. Always a great menu. One son is vegetarian and he had no problem finding something he loved, second son eats nothing and loved the mac & cheese with bacon. Awesome quail special over lentils. Great cocktail followed by a good red at a great price. Have never been disapointed at London.
Love this place, but we always go knowing it's gonna be a bit of a wait for food with the occasional mixup. Love the jazz night downstairs (even though last time we went there were some super rowdy drunk diners...) Love the fish and chips and the drinks selection. Hot chocolate (when it's available) is also great
Reasonable neighborhood pub-like restaurant. Service was inattentive, (no bread served, water refills sluggish, entree service delayed, diner preferences forgotten, etc.) but food was tasty although the portions were small. Staff seemed overwhelmed although when we arrived the restaurant was underfilled. The restaurant grew busier as the night went on and the service deteriorated. Prices were fair.
Went for brunch. Some in the party chose burgers, which all got rave reviews. The breakfast burrito was excellent, as were the Huevos Ranchero. A few in our party were running late, and the staff was very understanding. Overall, the service was fine, with two notable exceptions. The first was that, while the make your own bloody mary bar was filled with ingredients, many of the bottles were empty. Second, one of our side orders was never brought out. When we completed dining, this was pointed out and the server quickly dashed to get it rather than ask if we still desired it, which at that point we clearly did not. It would have been logical not to serve it and remove it from the bill. In spite of these two mis-steps, would recommend a visit to this establishment.
Hamburgers were fabulous and also had an excellent cocktail. We were first seated by the window ( great view) but the baseboard heater made it tooo hot. Asked to be seated in another area that was met very graciously. Glad there was other seating available. Plan on returning when in the area.
My friends and I gather every year for a Christmas get together and we have gone to London for at least the last 5 to 6 years, and it has always been good for food and ambience, and always a great place to gather and talk. Unfortunately, this year the kitchen took a big hit and they were having difficulty keeping up with the number of orders. This caused us to wait about an hour for our food to arrive at the table. The food was good, and no one had any complaints except for the wait time, and that no one let us know there were problems until the food was about to arrive. It would not prohibit us from returning, but it did add some stress to the night.
Took my sister here for brunch after she ran the marathon. We'd made a reservation but she had a longer run than planned. Tried to move the reservation later on open table but there was no availablity. Called and Julio who answered the phone could not have been nicer, said they would work with us to make our timing work. When we got there we were seated right away. Excellent service from the waitstaff too. Great experience.
I know London has been around forever which is a testament to it's acceptability. However, I was disappointed with the Rib-eye steak. It was 75% Fat which I cut off. The edible portion was tasty though.
When I told the waiter about it he just said "oh, I'm sorry" and grabbed the plate and took it away. Nothing was said like "Is there anything I can do" etc or not even a slight adjustment on the bill. Just a proper gesture would have sufficed.
I have no plans to go back there during this century and I eat dinner out 4-5 times a week and have reached multiple award levels with OpenTable, so I'm no stranger to the scene.
