The restaurant was empty and we waited over 1 hour for our food. When it came it was ok, the French toast was good, the hollandaise was salty, the wings were greasy.

My wife and I were at London Grill for brunch on St. Patrick's Day. She was very happy with her burger and said that the beef was of excellent quality. I could not help comparing my salmon eggs Benedict with the same dish at a favorite place of mine in Manhattan, and the Benedict at the London Grill just wasn't quite there. The slices of salmon were almost transparent, meager, and not very tasty. The muffin was doughy, under-toasted, and barely warm. The make-your-own bloody Mary table was for me the highlight of the brunch, offering a spread of condiments and sauces, large glasses and carafes of fresh cold tomato juice. I got exactly the right amount of horseradish, rimmed the glass with lime and a pesto concoction, and succeeded in producing a perfect and delicious bloody Mary. The service was fine, we had a sunny window table, and the room was quite enough for easy conversation. Though it was not loud, I was not thrilled at first with the sound of television coming from the bar in the next room; however I soon forgot all about this mild complaint.

This old standby is always comfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate special requests. The food and wine are, while maybe not the most innovative, it's what you want to eat. We love going here.

Good food but the lunch & dinner menus are the same except for specials. Very old tables & chairs could use a refresh. Servers are very accommodating. This is more like that neighborhood place & caters to locals. Not a place I’d visit for a quiet conversation.

I added one star to this review because the restaurant is in my neighborhood and was opened on Christmas Eve. I do think, however, that if a restaurant decides to open on Christmas Eve, they should, at the very least, put a little effort into making the experience festive for their customers. This was not the case when I dined this past Monday. The food was lackluster. I ordered the tortilla soup and it was just a bowl of orange/brownish puree of something. A dollop of sour cream, a wedge of lime and maybe a tortilla chip or two would have made all the difference. My friend's chicken chowder looked like they scraped the very bottom of the soup kettle. And when he asked for more dressing for his salad, the waiter brought him what looked like a teaspoon full and explained that that was all they had!! The waiter was pleasant, but very harried. I don't know why he was rushing around so much, when the restaurant did not seem to be that busy. Dirty dishes sat way too long. My friend ordered a cup of coffee, and that was what he got. A cup of coffee, no cream, no sugar and no saucer.... I have had Christmas Eve dinner at London before and it has always been better in the past. There was absolutely no effort put into this dinner at all. Last Christmas Eve dinner at London for me!

London has been a standby over the years. Unfortunately the experience was pretty lackluster recently. Mussels in white wine sauce had an alcohol burn, breaded cauliflower kind of soggy. On the other hand, the potato soup of the day was excellent. Not trying to drive people away. The place is usually better than this. Just really off tonite.

The room where we were seated was quite cold. We asked them to turn up the heat so they brought a small space heater that was hardly adequate My daughter ordered “meatball sliders “. That is exactly how it read on the menu, no accompanying description. When they arrived it was chicken meatballs. Extremely fine ground chicken with mostly breading Very gross Most people would have expected a classic meatball the way it was listed on the menu The waiter got very snitty when we asked what kind of meatball it was. Nothing wrong with serving a chicken meatball but we all felt it should have been described as such on the menu. Also the waiter should not have been so rude when my daughter asked about it.

I have always enjoyed London Grille because of the fun and professional bartenders, staff and the atmosphere. However, this past Wednesday, I took a friend to London Grille - who recently moved into the Fairmount area - because of it's neighborhood feel. I was so disappointed. We sat in the dining area (not the bar) because we had a lot to talk about (which is a great thing about this restaurant). However, I think our server had an attitude from the beginning. We ordered drinks and shared our food (octopus, salad, mussels - all excellent!) - you know how you love to dip your crusty bread into the sauce from the mussels? They didn't give us bread, so we asked our server. We were told that they were out of bread b/c they didn't get their order today and they were saving the bread for sandwich orders!! What? Saving for orders that haven't been submitted yet?? If I was the chef, and didn't get my bread order, I would have purchased bread at the Acme before I would tell anyone that they were out of bread! When we complained, they brought us "one" slice of Italian bread for both of us to share and then later, they toasted English muffins !! which at that point we were finished with our dinner! I know this may sound like a simple thing, but it really threw us off and with no apologies from our server. I will still go to this restaurant, I doubt my friend will, but I will call in advance to see if they got their bread order in!!

I have been to the restaurant over the course of 30 years. Not regularly but a few times unfortunately this last visit was very disappointing. Food was not as ordered. Salad greens were dirty. Service was extremely slow although server was perfectly nice and pleasant. There appeared to be kitchen and staffing issues.

Appetizers were pretty good. Meals were okay. My pasta had way too many mushrooms in it. My friend got the brick chicken with the mashed potatoes and said it was really good. They were out of some of the desserts even though they were written on the chalk board. I would go here again for drinks and apps but probably not for dinner.

We went because we were going to the penatentary. We saw the good reviews and unfortunately have to agree with the bad reviews. My friend got the chicken with brie and there was no brie. We ordered nachos and mussles to start and only got the mussels 25 to 30 min after ordering them. Never got the nachos. I ordered a burger with bacon and cheese wirh no bread because i have celiac and can not have it . My friend also ordered a burger and his was done wrong. Wrong toppings. Waitress took mine back and asked if it was an allergy and I said yes. She told me they would make a new one. After she left the table I heard the kitchen and staff makimg fun of me and my food allergy. Yelling "no bread!" Loud enough for everyone in the resturaunt to hear. It's bad enough I have to live with this. That is very embarrassing. Nothing was taken off of our bill despite the mistakes and embarrassment.

It took an hour for our food to come out and we were consistently lied to by the waiter when we asked what was going on. The food itself was fine (but not worth an hour wait) and the one good thing I can say is our bill was on the house. Seemed like the people next to us had a similar opinion but obviously I can't speak for them.

This was a nice choice for lunch in the Fairmount area. The day we went there, it was very un-crowded, so wonderfully quiet. The food was great: nothing fancy, but they did a great job on familiar favorites like hamburger, fish and chips, and veggie sandwich, (using very good bread, by the way). There is a good drink menu, with plenty of choices, and in general, it was a satisfying lunch. The prices are reasonable. We will be back.

I truly don't like writing bad/mediocre reviews, but this place deserves it. We were there for dinner on a Saturday and the place was empty (bad sign for a city restaurant). The server was nice enough, but he forgot our appetizers, and my burger was one of the worst I've ever had - it tasted like old meat and the fries were mushy and barely warm. Dessert - not-so-tasty chocolate cake, and no vanilla ice cream to accompany it. So much for that birthday dinner.

Food and menu need a serious overhaul. Burger was way over cooked and the spring rolls sucked. Fried pickles were okay. Just okay experience overall. Has potential to do better. Hopefully they can get it together.
