Great food & service always a great experience
It was our first time there and my wife and I truly enjoyed our dining experience. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending Lolita's to our friends and family.
Went for an early saturday night dinner. Excellent service and excellent food.
Great food and service. We enjoyed the guacamole appetizer and the chicken enchiladas were superb.
Caught up with a friend and had a great lunch at Lolita’s! Excellent service and food! Blood Orange Margarita was awesome! Great guacamole and chips with a vegan option. Will return again
The dish was overcooked even though I told the server that it happened in the past also
Lolita is a fun little place in a fun little neighborhood and could really knock it out of the park with a little tweaking. I found my meal bland! The pomegranate margarita wasn’t tart and was missing the rosemary mentioned on the menu. The guacamole tasted mostly of lime. It’s served with both red (very good) and green (skip this) salsas. I ordered the carne asada which arrived a perfect mid rare but desperately needed seasoning. The previously mentioned red salsa is delicious with the meat though. Save room for the coconut tres leches cake: it is amazing and I would come back for this and the little chocolate pot de creme it’s served with.
The food was great. I had a shrimp enchilada. It couldn't have been better. The noise level was very high. Conversation was difficult at certain times, but overall we had a good time.
Guacamole was AMAZING!
Excellent food and service
Excellent Fantastic meal and service
We absolutely loved the food. Waitress however was not friendly.
Loved happy hour on the patio! We fed 3 with two drinks each for $60. Can’t beat that!
Fantastic place for mexican cuisine with a flair. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was fast. The ambience is perfect for a date night or just a friends night. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely delicious food, and the Mezcal paired perfectly. The restaurant is small, tables are close together, and the bathroom is through a small hallway in the back of the restaurant, so, unfortunately, not as accessible as sister restaurant Bud & Marilyn's.
We came early for our reservation and the manager was a little brusque when we asked if there were any available tables. Understandable, of course, since the restaurant was busy, but our waitress was wonderful and this was just one small experience in an otherwise wonderful dining experience.
Creative, delicious food served by friendly and helpful staff.
We were seated right away. The tables are close which is not unexpected in the city, but the restaurant was a bit dark. We decided on a pitcher of margaritas, which our attentive server said was about 4-5 drinks. We poured at least 6 drinks from it! Our food came quickly and everything tasted great. The carrot tacos had the perfect amount of sweet & heat. The raw tuna was delicious, but was a little tricky to eat as it was served in large chunks. Overall, a great meal and delicious blood orange margaritas!
Very tight eating inside. The food was decent. Great service. The lighting was dark
Amazing food and friendly service!
We use to go to Lolita’s all the time when it was BYOT! I’ve been there twice since the liquor license and the other 2 times were great! Last night (my third time was different). Seemed rushed, ok I get it they’re busy. Pomegranate margarita was ok(its simple and I could make it nothing was wow about it... but it is batched so that may have something to do with it. Ordered guacamole (bacon brussel sprout) which was AWESOME! Ordered the special(scallops w/ mushrooms and sweet potato purée) which was great , another appetizer-duck chorizo with egg, that was ok, taquiza-smoky filet tips-they were blah. My real big problem is that all of the food except the guacamole because we didn’t place our meal order in with the guacamole (I’m sure that’s the only reason) came out ALL TOGETHER. I could not believe it! So I had to hurry and eat the egg so that wouldn’t be cold but then I didn’t want the scallops to get cold! What a cluster! That was the most annoying when I said something to the waitress she looked surprised! Since when does the appetizer and main come out together. I don’t ever remember being here and having this happen. Needless to say I won’t be heading back to quickly.
What a wonderful experience. Food was creatively different with minor twists on classics. Great drinks and I would highly recommend the guacamole with bacon Brussels sprouts and cheese. Wow. Service was great and will keep coming back for more.
Best fish tacos I've ever had! The traditional guacamole was so good and I loved the variety of chips that accompanied it.
This was a great find! My friends and I ordered drinks and appetizers and tacos to share. We were not disappointed. The staff was attentive and friendly. I will definitely be going back.
Excellent service, cosy informal ambience, interesting but not overwhelming menu and nice selection of creative exceptionally tasty dishes. Love this restaurant. So consistently interesting.
They have great guacamole and chips! Vegetarian tacos were pretty good too!
The staff was so lovely. I was dining with my 9 yr old and they noticed we were close to the door and it was a bit drafty every time someone entered and we weren’t wearing warm enough clothing. Without prompting they kindly offered to move us to a warmer spot. The food was fabulous as usual!
Our meal and sangria was great but felt we were being rushed!
Simply delicious. From cocktails to dessert, every course was flavorful.
The carrot tacos were amazing!
We were seated near the door on a very cold night, but the server moved us as soon as another table was available.
Was 15 minutes late to a place that has an hour and half wait on any given night. I called and let them know it was due to uber going the wrong direction- they held the reservation and I am so thankful they did! My boyfriend and I had heard great things about this place so we were excited to try it out. The Margaritas were delicious, not too strong and not too sweet. The guacamole was out of this world. We loved the food and will certainly return!
Food was outstanding.
Try the dessert it was as good as our meals.
We enjoyed the guacamole appetizer and taquizas. Service was very attentive. If you get there early, go for the cozy table for 2 by the front window.
Guacamole, tacos, and blood orange Margaritas were delicious!
We came in for a 730 reservation and were sat promptly, the staff was freindly and the food was amazing. Get the classic margarita with espolon. Close to the Franklin Bar.
So this was my first time going to Lolita. I went by myself for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere can be a bit noisy but I think it's mostly because of the smaller size of this restaurant. Quite naturally the noise wouldn't take long to build quickly. But overall, the food has a very fresh-tasting quality. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, Mexican style corn, a lemon-thyme spritzer for a drink and the coconut trees leche dessert (which was delicious). The overall mood for this place is fine. Just expect it to be a bit cramped as can be expected by most eating places in Center City Philadelphia. But if you solely go to a restaurant for the food and the food is good, you can just about overlook any little nuisances.
lovely! delicious guac!
This was my second time at Lolita and I think it may become one of my center city go to restaurants for meet ups with friends and family alike. This day was my mother’s 62nd birthday and in true form, she wanted to find a place with good food and margaritas! She was sat on time and able to wait for me to walk in a few moments later. Our order came quickly and tasted incredibly! The food had good heat without being inedibly spicy and the margaritas were strong and well priced! Even when the restaurant got its full lunch crowd, it was still easy to converse and the service never tapered off.
Everything was great. Food came out a little fast at first. But def will go back!
Went for lunch during restaurant Week. Really lovely. Nice variety. Will return to try other dishes.
