I’ve been wanting Lolita’s, to try the birria tacos, for months! It was well worth the wait!! The spice was just right. We will be back for more!
Food was cold - Enchiladas are known for being hot there were seating around fir quite a while prior to being served
Rice and beans pre made temperature not acceptable
Service not as usual lacking quality on several areas
Sara was an absolute charm! Definitely will come back just to see her!
Did an excellent job for being limited to outside dining due to Covid .. 10 out of 10 would dine again - thanks for a wonderful night :)
Great outdoor dining visit at Lolita. Our server was great, on top of empty drinks and quick service. The food seemed semi prepared and not as good as on prior trips, but we are eager to continue supporting our local places! We'll be back again.
It was ok, I’ve been to way better Mexican restaurants.
The food was unexpectedly bad. We got the fish tacos, and the fish literally looked like a fried fish stick that just came out of the freezer. It was a gross block of what seemed like fake fish. The chips and guac were good, but that is not hard to make well. The margaritas tasted good, but they were not strong. We got a pitcher and neither of us left feeling it at all. The ambiance was fine, but I would not recommend Lolita.
Great spot outside, heat lamps were up and spicy margaritas made for a pleasant night out.
Blood orange margarita was amazing! Pork carnitas nachos were delicious!
Good food but not consistent. Great Margs!
Birria tacos were outrageous. Margaritas were excellent. The restaurant did an amazing job trying to make the experience wonderful even with the restrictions.
Not a good experience at all. Their service was bad
Outside dining, a lot of great energy and fun! Great service. Hostess was a flake, but service was awesome, other guests awesome and food was great.
Tasty Tacos, but not the best Mexican food in Philly. Chips/Salsa and Margaritas were just ok.
Love the service and food at Lolita. The pitchers are a little too full of juice for me but they’re okay.
Great margaritas. Make it a Cadillac. Tacos are amazing. They have heaters for the outdoor tables.
Made us wait 10 minutes for a table even though we had reservations
It was a lot of fun. It was outdoor dining during the pandemic, and I had a great time with my date. The food was good, although not amazing; however, it is the pandemic, so some slack will always be given.
Wonderful outoor set-up during Covid. Felt safe eating here, and appreciate the efforts of the staff to make everyone feel comfortable. I really hope they keep the outside seating all winter. Adda few heaters, and I'll be there even in the snow!
Everything was okay, but nothing special or worth mentioning. Also, most dishes that we ordered seemed very salty.
Service was not much. Didn't really seem to care whether we were there or not.
Again, nothing terrible, just indifferent.
As someone who has been heavily immersed in the Philly restaurant scene for over 10 years, it hurts me to say that the food at Lolita was mediocre at best and the service was down right absent. Even adjusting for the fact that we are in the midst of a raging pandemic, being served on paper plates was a bit amusing.
It’s was a pretty good experience all around. Not super great, but will go back.
Easy reservation process; dog-friendly; friendly staff (understanding that a few members of our party were late); great outdoor setup
Went here with my sister pretty noisy there was a man singing for like an hour I think because of the pandemic outdoor dining is just a bit different now but My waitress disappeared it was really hard to get her attention the food was good I got the nachos he didn’t really give me that much meat on my nachos but all in all it was good I recommend getting the corn the rice was bland all in all I would say go there when the restaurant is able to except indoor dining again
Horrible service ... waitress only came back once and then told us we had to leave because of the time limit shortly after
Service and food quality were excellent. Margaritas were great addition to outdoor dining.
Overall, it's a great place. I saw them clean the table really well before we were seated. We were early for a reservation, and they were very nice and accommodating. The fish tacos were disappointing, but the rest of the food was great.
Great for outdoors seating, heat lamp by us didn't work but other than that was good to go!
food was delicious! blood orange margaritas did not disappoint. I will be returning!
Great food and fun atmosphere! We love the outdoor dining on a nice cool night!
Very mediocre and uninspired entrees. Very. Too expensive Margaritas decent. Didn’t come with salt. Had to ask. Would not return.
Great happy hour, fast and friendly service.
Took 10 min for the hostess to find reservation. She finally found it when she connected to WiFi and refreshed iPad. Food wasn’t great and portions were sparse.
Food was amazing and the service was great
So when i first walked in i was greeted and even given option to seat outside
but recommend to seat inside because of the rain which was great! seated as soon as i given my name and served a drink. food was great service was quick and pleasant. really happy i chose this place
My mom and i just went there to get something different, did not hold up to our standards . Would only recommend for the street corn
First time date night during Restaurant Week. Amazing empanada! Husband loved carne asada! Best fish tacos ever! Skip quacamole-just average and small portion. We’ll be back!
It did not appear that the operation was running smoothly. The entrees took quite a bit to come out. We when then ushered to hurry uo and clear our table even though we had just received our dessert. We've had much better experiences but I may be able to give them another chance in the future.
Great Mexican food! Our host was super friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Let me start by saying the ambiance wasn't horrible and also not the restaurants fault. The homelessness situation in the city is just sad all over. As for the food, we loved the Mexican street corn. The chipotle was a perfect kick addition. The nachos were also good except it was missing some heat which we asked for extra jalapeños but there seemed to be none on the platter. Lastly for entree we had crispy fish and fried chicken tacos. They were okay. I wouldn't return for them. I would come back for sure for the Mexican street corn and to try their short rib which they were out of. Overall, I thought Lolita was a good new try and wouldn't mind returning.
