Lola is the most outstanding place to eat. You will not be disappointed. We have tried many of the dishes on the menu and they are all mouthwatering delicious. The foie gras is a must. Michael Ginor is one of the best chefs on the planet. All the dishes are unique. A lot of thought and creativity is put into every plate to make it as flavorful as possible. The staff is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Lola is everything a restaurant should be and more. We love this place!
Love, love this place for any occasion consistently excellent and unique.
Everything was delicious. I would suggest that the branzino have something else on the plate. The schnitzel is served over potatoes. Perhaps the branzino should be served with a side as well.
Halvah dessert amazing!
We had a wonderful Mothers day brunch at Lola! Not only was they food absolutely delicious! Our waitstaff were is so kind, friendly, professional and looked after our needs. I was so impressed each time someone came to make sure everything was good and that we were happy. We loved the babaganush, the tatziki, and the salmon and steak were outstanding! Thank you Lola for making our day so relaxing and delicious! We can't wait to come back to a new found gem!
Lola's never disappoints. We have been going to Lola's for dinner and special occasions for several years. We have enjoyed Mother's Day Brunch two years in a row. We have spent New Year's with Lola's and had many, many dinners. The meze is fantastic, the main dishes are consistently high quality and the halvah semifredo desert is definitely my favorite. Three cheers to the chef and the staff....
This place is perfect for dates. Romantic atmosphere, attentive staff, awesome food
..my date was very happy and impressed.
Mother’s Day dinner. Service and food was excellent. Exec Chef came out twice to meet us and talk to us. It was a very special night.
I was very impressed by the taste of everything we ordered. The hummus tasted amazing & the presentation was beautiful. The grilled cauliflower was out of this world and again it was arranged so nicely. I never saw the tiny yellow mushrooms that look like pasta before. The fig-Ure it out Martini was very different & very good The fresh herbs were apparent in every bite. It was my first time dining there & I plan to go back.
Consistently fantastic, creative food. Ambiance not so great as is the noise level.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. It’s restaurant week and they came up with some new dishes that were absolutely delicious. The farm to table theme prevails well in their menu selections and the fresh products of produce and meats they get from the upstate farms are always of excellent quality. The cooks are amazing. You can tell they truly enjoy making up new dishes and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I’m a regular and they always cater to my multiple food allergies. I never have to worry. Both my fiancée and I have decided that we will always be going to them during restaurant week not only because of the price reduction but also because of the originality, taste and presentation of their dishes. They also were very generous with the food portions too and we plan on enjoying our leftovers and remembering our beautiful meal.
Last night's meal for restaurant week was delicious. All three chefs, Michael, Lenny and Danny were there and it just made the meal that much better. Service is great there every time we go. Our waiter, Anthony made sure we had everything we needed before we asked. It's mostly a Mediterranean cuisine with a lot of twists that make it special. The Halava parfait dessert is a must have. I highly recommend going.
Love the large array of appetizers & small plates they give for restaurant week. Mains were an interesting blend of herbs & spices. Food there never disappoints.
This place was recommended to me and I almost didn't go. What a loss that would have been for me! I went for restaurant week, since I always go to NYC restaurant week, didn't know what to expect. I found out soon enough that I have been wasting my time, going into Manhattan when there are fantastic restaurants like LoLa right here! The waitress was so kind and informative. Then we began getting our appetizers...little tasting bites from heaven! OMG, and there were so many little dishes, one more delicious than the next. My son ordered the duck breast and I ordered the lamb. They were both absolutely fabulous! My lamb was so tender and moist, the seasoning delicious without being overpowering. His duck breast was well prepared and also delicious. The plates were ample and nicely arranged (unlike some places on NYC restaurant week). I enjoyed every bite! The desserts were so good and sweet and delicious! I am so glad that I did not miss this chance to go, because it is now on my favorites list. Everyone should try it!
Always great food and service
Went for restaurant week. So much food and so delicious.
Restaurant Week! Mezze’s were deeelicious. Tzaiki, hummus, falafel, beets, Israeli salad with perfectly warmed pita.
Then Duck with foie gras ($10 additional) was melt in your mouth fabulous.
Stuffed but always room for dessert-chocolate cake w coffee ice cream, halva parfait and rose water meringue were superb!
Shelby and Lenny are 5 Star!!!!
Food was very sophisticated with unexpected combinations, all beautifully blended and presented. Even though this is a local neighborhood restaurant, the food is transporting.
How do I redeem my dining points?
Fabulous dining during Restaurant Week! We will definitely return again.
Excellent choice of dishes. Server was very helpful in suggesting wine. Lovely ambiance in the restaurant. Good location.
Excellent food as always. They outdo themselves on Restaurant Week. While the whole table must join in, they bring you an entire spread of the most delicious appetizers. They included hummus with pomegranates, eggplant pureed 2 ways, a cauliflower and then a beet dish. Our friends who dined there for the first time were ecstatic.
The men had a lamb entree, the women duck with foie gras. It was so good no one offered to give sample bites.
The fig cocktail is a favorite. The service friendly and knowledgeable.
Excellent food. Highly recommend it
Great innovative food
The tasting menu at $55 continues to be the best food buy on Long Island - literally a feast.
Wonderful food service ambiance. Highly recommend
Food fresh and delicious, service could have been slightly better
We've been here several times. Merissa and Shelby are amazing, lovely girls. Their excellent and friendly service matches the unique and delicious food choices. The drink specials are fun too. Such a great place. Great date night anytime.
My favorite restaurant! Excellent food and service!
Been to Lola for brunch - excellent, high quality, good value for money - but first time for dinner. Not very friendly for families with young kids i.e. no kids menu. Service and ambience very good. We had several dishes - salmon and duck were good and other dishes ok. The food did not meet my ( high ) expectations given the positive experience from brunch. The Riesling was good and the wines are reasonably priced.
Small plates are tasty and creative. Tried a cocktail on base of fig infused vodka - love it, really delicious. Best foie gras!
While everything was great...the food was exceptional. The apps and small plates exceeded my expectations. Fresh, innovative and delicious.
Food was outstanding. All four of us shared Brussel sprout appetizer. Each persons main was delishous
Stupendous meal! Lasagna special was melt in your mouth delicious. We started with Shwarma hummus that was awesome, beet salad yummy and fatoush salad soooo good
Lenny, Dan and Shelby are amazing and our meal was memorable. Love Lola!!!!
Great food and service. We had to leave st a certain time and they accommodated our needs perfectly.
We enjoyed Lola very much, the cuisine is creative and has a wonderful selection to make everyone happy!!
Our reservation was at 830. They closed at 930.
We go to Lola all the time. But, this was my first brunch there. 2 out of 3 of us loved the brunch menu. Very interesting options plus all of the great sides. The shakshouka was really good!
My go to for great Mediterranean/ Middle East
This is the first review I've submitted for a restaurant, and I'm happy that I waited to write one for Lola. My family and I were looking for a good, local eaterie some years ago, and based on online reviews, we decided to check out Lola. The soft lighting, urban decor and tapas-style menu makes it a great choice for date nights, while booths and flexible seating makes it amenable for groups as well. However, it was the menu selection that had our eyes popping out of our heads! The menu has changed but, at the time, kobe beef sliders, tuna tartare, polenta with truffles and foie gras were just a sampling of the extraordinarily luxurious selection that was available. In fact, you could add foie gras to practically anything on the menu for a nominal fee. What made it even more palatable was that the prices were very reasonable. We felt as though we were eating at a high-end restaurant in the City, but paying Queens prices. Since then, we've made it a point to visit Lola every few months. The most recent menu has more of a Mediterranean vibe... we can't get enough of their velvety smooth hummus and pillowy warm pita bits, charred octopus cooked perfectly, the flavorful lamb "pizza" (Malawach)...and of course it wouldn't be Lola without seared foie gras! There is also a Chef's tasting menu which requires advance reservations. Speaking of chef, the owner, Chef Michael Ginor, is very accommodating and clearly passionate about cooking. Sometimes when we catch him in town, we'll request that he whip up a special dish for us and he does so on the fly. We've grown to love Lola so much that we even rented out the whole restaurant on a Sunday night to celebrate our mother's milestone birthday. Lola is a beautiful culinary gem and we can't wait to taste what Chef Michael has in store for us next.
excellent place ,, great food , worth the drive ,,,,
