Lola - Great Neck
Anthony was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable server with great recommendations for starters and entrees. Personable and friendly as well! Food was top notch! We will go back again and again. Highly recommended.
Fabulous as usual!
Came here for a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife. The food was amazing and delicious, and the drinks JA were good. The only complaints I have are the tables for two. The table was very flimsy and almost toppled over twice if you put any pressure on it. It’s a physics thing as the legs of the table were not adequate for the weight of the table. Second, it was around 10:20 and the waiters really tried hard to go home, hinting to my wife and I, and other guests, that the place was closing soon. I would have liked to sit and eat in peace and talk to my wife. Other than that, the place is perfect.
Good food and service. The decor was also nice. The noise level was a bit elevated but it was a full house
As a favorite of ours, Lola didn't disappoint! The service, presentation, and tastes of the food are always great. Chef Lenny checks on the tables to make sure everyone is happy! Best restaurant for miles around.
We come here a lot and every single time it just gets better and better. Chef Lenny Messina and his crew are amazing. Shelby and Marissa and all the staff are friendly and greet us warmly each time. The whole experience is just excellent every time. The food is FANTASTIC!
If you want to make your mouth happy go to Lola. The food is fresh and delicious with a combination of flavors that are not found in ordinary cooking. That makes this place extraordinary. The service is also extraordinary. The servers are well informed about the menu and make you feel glad you’ve come.
We ordered the tasting menu and every dish was delicious. I tasted grilled octopus for the first time and loved it. There was a terrific variety in the different dishes. The only problem was that by the time we got to the duck, we were too full! It was all wonderful. The only negative was one waitressłs rudeness which was made up for by the sweetness of the other waitress. The restaurant was crowded but that didn’t excuse the waitress forgetting to bring silverware or acceding to our request to bring out the dishes a bit more slowly. The food was delicious, though, and that excused a lot!
Service was less than expected. Main courses were not served together, but several minutes apart, leaving the early mains to turn cold waiting for the other mains to be served...poorly managed. Very noisy evening. The restaurant was full (good for you), but the eating experience suffered... We've had better meals at Lola, and I hope to have better meals in the future. I hope last night is not an omen for things to come. Please learn from this critique.
Lola is just on point with their food! The Chef is top notch and always coming up with amazing new dishes. My favorites were the truffle mushroom flatbread and duck rigatoni from restaurant week. Slam dunks for sure!
Keep up the good work 👍.
Tonight we did restaurant week, the spicy eggplant appetizer was a winner, as was the humas roasted chickpeas, beet yogurt. The cauliflower appetizer was yummy. For the mains, the pasta with duck was really good but the star was the lamb, so freakin good. I went to my staple for desert, the halava parfait, all I can say is wow. My wife had something new, the date pound cake. It was excellent. Can't wait for when we go back for Valentines Day.
It was a great and yummy experience! Always delicious
Our group was 8 for restaurant week. The service and food were outstanding. We’ve gone back several times and have never been disappointed. The mushroom pizza, humous with roasted chick peas and cauliflower appetizers were all delicious. The Halavah parfait is the most amazing dessert!!!

Have gone to restaurant week the last few years and have loved it. Last year the food was outstanding. The food this time not so much. The lamb dish were too well done patties, which were dry and tasteless. The duck Bolognese was a plate of pasta with some crumbled meat mixed in. Desserts were unforgettable. I felt like the restaurant was cutting corners to save money. I won’t be back..
We are disappointed to hear of your less than stellar experience here at LOLA. We assure you that our offering of Organic Duck, & Chicken, Free Range Lamb, and House Made pasta have no intention of cost cutting. Paired with out variety of six different appetizer assortments for each table and house made desserts we aim to maximize the value of the $28.95 Price. I have made a few attempts to reach out to you on your phone, please give me a call at your earliest conventicle to discuss further.
Excellent food and nice service.
One of our favorite restaurants, this visit was better than ever. Made reservations a good deal in advance of our dining date.
Excellent waiter...Kyle, friendly, approachable, on top of every facet of serving and communicating.
Our cocktails were perfect...a Bourbon and a martini.
Appetizers included a variety of Hummus, warm cauliflower salad, mushroom malawach, delicious concoctions with warm pita that was fresh in aroma, each unique and layered with taste. When asked, Kyle shared components.
Our mains were Branzino filet and Lamb Kofta, again layered with flavor. Always the highlight at LOLA...Foie Gras...unbelievably delicious mousse like inside with hot crispness outside. Owner chef Michael Ginor produces such on his Hudson Valley Farm.
Executive chef Michael Messina has stopped by each of the tables and all of our visits. So gracious and welcoming.
For dessert, we both always choose a Halavah parfait, extraordinary. And this time, we had a candle for our anniversary!
we tried the chef tasting menu and it was amazing!! a lot of food make sure you go with an empty stomach!!
Superb duck and foie gras!
Absolutely great food, chef Lenny is one of the most creative Chefs I’ve ever have known. Pair that with a very nice wine list and Shelby taking care of the service and you have one of the top five restaurants on Long Island.
As always, the food was outstanding! However, the plan for new years eve was posted as a chefs tasting menu--to me, this means several courses picked by the chef. Instead, the menu was a prix fixe--just a disappointment from what we hoped to have on new years eve. The problem was really the ambiance--there was a TV screen on at the back of the restaurant, which I could not get out of my view, and the stories televised were about the "Hanukkah stabbings" that occurred the day before---important--YES! but not what I want to see when I am supposed to be celebrating the end of the year. Also, there was music playing which was pop/dance/ something unpleasant--not at all classy as we had expected. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed...but the food was great!!
Outstanding meal and service. Best Israeli/Middle Eastern restaurant on Long Island if not all of New York. Have been many times. Always consistent. Love the Chicken bastilla cigars, several different hummus, fattoush salad, duck frites and the hangar steak with truffle potato purée.
Always great food and service, have never had a bad meal.
Would like to see a few specials once in awhile.
Ordered only appetizers
They were delicious
This was our first time at Lola and we had the tasting menu - it was GREAT. Especially so for the Cod taco and the duck and the dessert. Couldn't have asked for better. It was a good value and the staff was helpful and attentive. Looking forward to going again and trying more of the menu.
Lola is consistently amazingly delicious, with warm and courteous service. Ever item we ordered was outstanding and our server staggered them perfectly. Can’t wait to return to Lola!
Maybe good for a lunch or brunch but extremely noisy on Saturday Night. Limited menu and too "gourmetish" ( if that's a word".
Chefs special was out of this World!!! Michael our chef and his team treated us and gave us the most amazing experience...
thank you so much 🙏 Will definitely come back again!
Had a great meal and all was excellent
Just the best restaurant on Long Island. Need I say more?
We got the chef's tasting....fantastic! And Marissa was a fabulous tour guide through this wonderful tasting excursion!
Excellent imaginative cuisine
Always wonderful! Great food, service and ambiance!
Always a great meal. I would recommend the chef's tasting, it is a dining experience.
Thanks Lola for an amazing meal. Chefs tasting! Left in a wheel barrel. So much food. Service was on point!
Super great service. Delicious food. Beer and wine selections were excellent. I have been here for small dinner with a friend and for a big family gathering — excellent for both!
Long Island restaurant week. Always great to come during this week. They don’t skimp on the amount of food and you get to try something new. They now have written which foods are gluten and dairy free and vegan. Shelby as hostess is amazing. She remembered my food allergies and always has a kind word.
Excellent service and the food was delicious. Large appetizer portions to share. 5 different entrees and 3 desserts to choose from on their restaurant week menu. Will definitely dine here again.
Date night during Long Island restaurant week. Lola hits all the high points with a sampling of appetizers that leaves little room to eat dinner, so delicious and plentiful. Dinner of duck lasagna and lamb shoulder was great. The halvah parfait remains one of my all time favorites. The service is great and attentive as well. Randi M
