I loved visiting Lola. They were very accommodating with my food allergy and checked all the ingredients throughly. The dessert was the best I’ve ever had. My husband loves it too! It was a long drive from TX but we’ll be back.
Service was good, but a little slow. They were busy as it was packed before the Cavs Playoffs game. The food was fantastic...everything we had was top notch. I am a vegetarian and highly recommend the seasonal vegetable fricasee...it was outstanding.
Beautiful decor and very fine food. Everyone was happy.
Took a weekend trip to Cleveland for our anniversary and made reservations for Lola. Great food and service and they brought us a anniversary congratulations cupcakes
Absolutely amazing dining. Well worth the trip.
Excellent service and food. Appreciated the special dessert for our 25th anniversary!
Awesome in every way. The food was amazing. Would go back again and again.
The cuisine was great and the service even better. I was in Cleveland on business, dining alone, and Lola was just down the street from where I was staying. It is a bit on the pricey side and so even though the menu was interesting I almost passed and went for lower priced fare. Now I realize that would have been a huge mistake! This restaurant is well worth it.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Lola. The food was superb. We started with the Beef Cheek Pierogi's, Bacon Wrapped Sturgeon and Scallops were our entrees, Lola Fries and the 6 AM Special for dessert. We were also treated with anniversary cupcakes. Everything was delicious. Britney, our server was fantastic. She was very attentive. An absolute wonderful experience.
The food was delicious and Gina was a great waitress. We were in town visiting and she gave us great recomendations! Make sure to order dessert!
The food was amazing. We are staying at the Symon Airbnb and I had asked for any menu recommendations they had. The Charcuterie Board was a winner, as was the Bacon wrapped Sturgeon. The Lola S’ more with the bourbon marshmallows and The 6 a.m. Special we’re both top notch desserts.
I had the Pork, and it was the BOMB, the best Pork I ever had, and the soup was amazing. our waitress was very sweet despite her busy schedule and taking care of all the table around she always find a moment to check on us, we didn't tell her that it was my wife birthday, she figured it out and come with small desserts to celebrate.
I gave Lola 5 of 5 because I come from a family in the restaurant business and it very hard to impress me all the 360 degree but in Lola they did.
Everything was great, food was amazing. I didn't appreciate the $10 Moscow Mules not served in a copper cup. I would assume at that price you'd get the best. Oh well, we had a good time and we'll be back.
This is our second time at Lola and we celebrated my wife’s birthday. We could not ask for a better experience and meal!
We had the bone marrow as an appetizer, which is something we’d never had before—AMAZING.
I ordered the scallops and my wife had the chicken. Safely, I can say both were the best versions of that dish I could ever imagine.
Most scallops I’ve had are prepared in a lighter way, like most fish. But here they are paired with bacon, acting more like a traditional “meat.” Would recommend!
It’s a little pricey, but for comparable restaurants I’d consider Lola a very good deal—especially for special occasions!
Great choice for hosting some longtime friends' from LA on their visit to Ohio.
Everything was great. We had Dover sole and scallops and both were outstanding, as was the veloute onion soup. The wine list is extensive and has many choices at various price points. The figgy pudding dessert was creative with a delicious blend of flavors. Service was perfect.
Went there for Mother's day. As usually, both food and service we're outstanding.
It was my second time there. The quality of the food and service are really solid. Don't miss the house made charcuterie and the polenta side :). Also, they accommodated perfectly a birthday cake request!
Our server Branden made us feel welcome from the moment we sat at the table and the food was impeccable. Can’t wait to go back!
I LOVE Lola's! We have been there 3 times, from Columbus, and mainly go to Cleveland to dine here! The food and staff are awesome. LOVE sitting at the Chef's table and so enjoy watching the chef's prepare and plate the delicious food.
Food was delicious. Wait staff knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience!
For my Mother's day gift my daughter made a 5:30 dinner reservation for the two of us before the 8:00 Ballet Performance at the Ohio Theatre. We had the charcuterie board first. Even the pickled veges were great especially the ramps. I had the tuna app. It had teeny tiny crisp potato chips with chunks of tuna, fennel and thin red pepper. It was beautiful and delicious. My daughter had the soup special that she let me try, which they poured tableside making it
double "special" , over crabmeat and fritters. We could have stopped after the appetizers and been full but, I had scallops and she had hangar steak for entrees. Both were very good but not as amazing as the starters. They even fixed my daughter her favorite drink, a Ramos gin fizz which wasn't on the menu. I was too full for dessert but my daughter had the deep fried french toast with maple bacon ice cream and apples. Again, she shared a taste. It was fabulous. We have tried many Cleveland area restaurants but always save Lola for special occasions because we know we won't be disappointed.
Everything was so delicious! I tried bone marrow for the first time, thanks to my husband! It was fabulous !!! The service was spot on and the restaurant itself is beautiful.
This was a business dinner with a client from Australia who wanted to be down near the buzz of the Q and The Cavaliers. Service and food were excellent
Amazing food and excellent staff made our celebration special! Staff didn't know it was a special evening until the end, and we were treated throughout the entire night as though we were their personal special guests. Glad we were seated in the back of the restaurant. The front was busy(good for them!) and a little loud, and we wanted a quiet, relaxing dinner which was provided by being in the back.
Went here for my birthday and while the food was pretty good... hit and miss however.. some dishes were very good and some dishes were not good at all. The service was what primarily left a lot to be desired.
Excellent food and a great atmosphere! My wife and I usually try to make it to Lola at least twice a year from an hour and a half away, we enjoy it so much.
My husband and I watch Michael Symon and I have wanted to go to Lola for a while. We live in Buffalo, NY but last year for my 40th Birthday , us and 2 couples made the trip to Cleveland for ny birthday. The main purpose, to go to Lola. Friday night we went to Mabel's which was great but on Saturday night we went to Lola and it was by far the best meal that I have ever had. My husband and I would talk about the meal all the time. This year he decided to surprise and take me back there for my birthday. This time might have been even better. I had the beef cheek pierogies and the Dover Sole, both were amazing, melt in your mouth. I wish we lived closer but then we would probably go broke. I can't wait until we get to go again.
After hearing about this restaurant for years, we finally made it out for a birthday celebration (which happened to fall on Cinco de Mayo and a Cavs home game). The service was great, wine was not as opverpriced as it is in some places, and the food was devine. Really encourage you to try some dessert, the pastry chef is fantastic. Oh, and the bone marrow appetizer.
The only thing about Lola that I don't enjoy is the dark atmosphere and stuffy decor. The food and service is fantastic, but the rigid vibe could be improved.
Great staff, great food...from the hand crafted Manhattans to the fresh scallops! Perfection!
Dinner was very nice. My husband does not usually eat pork, but based on all the excellent reviews for the Smoked Hampshire Pork chop, he decided to give it a try. He was not disappointed. I had the Halibut which was also delicious. Our waiter, John D., was attentive and made good wine recommendations. We shared Lola's S'mores for dessert which was scrumptious. The wine selection was extensive. Our only complaint was our table seating. Our reservation was for 5:30 on a Thursday evening. We were the second table to be seated in basically an empty restaurant. At 6 pm, a table of 6 was seated right next to us and practically at our table. It was very close and the waiters/servers were struggling to take care of both tables being so close to each other. There were at least 6 other tables for 2 that we could have been seated at upon our arrival to make the dinner more enjoyable.
Food was good. Menu had unique items. Everything tasted good. However, did not exceed my expectations (of an Iron Chef). Lamb was a little gamey, but tender. Broccoli Ravi was surprisingly good. Usually somewhat bitter.
Great food and service
We have had so many great meals at Lola.
So we returned after a winter break and the first night back, we returned to Lola’s. Our bread was delivered to our table, a plate of small round pieces of a baguette. Well it was stale! Looking around, other tables were given big thick slices of bread. We asked for fresh bread. We were given several excuses, but the manager said that the chefs were experimenting with an idea that morning.
I guess we were part of the experiment!
How much does a loaf of bread cost! Come on...for a $65 piece of fish, is it too much to ask for an enjoyable evening starting from the bread course?
My husband and I ate here while on vacation - our last of many fairly high profile meals at fairly well-known restaurants in multiple foodie cities, and honestly this was our absolute favorite. The food is fantastic - fresh, lots of local ingredients and seasonal options, good-sized portions, and they were really flexible when we wanted to get a bunch of small things and split them rather than the traditional path of appetizer, entree, dessert. And the service - Christie, our server, was *amazing*. She was super attentive without being obtrusive, she offered to box everything up for us that we couldn't eat, and even gave us silverware and napkins knowing that we were on vacation. They surprised us with a happy anniversary plate with two cupcakes, and start to finish, the whole experience was just perfect. I yearn for the day when Chef Symon opens a Lola East in NYC! (hint hint!) :D
we have often watched michael symon on tv and at the ix center. we feel he is an excellent representative of cleveland. we also prefer his unique menu selections.finally, the food is always extremely good.
Beautiful restaurant and the staff was very attentive. However, the food was just ok for the price. The selection was limited, the fish (sturgeon, maybe halibut, scallops) tasted good, but was a little dry. Overall, the food was good but it should have been GREAT for the prices ($$). I don’t mind paying for an amazing meal, but my expectations are higher when paying more. Given the number of choices in Cleveland, I’ll probably make a different choice for our next dinner on the town.
Food was excellent, service was great, and ambiance was nice. Recommend the hanger steak and roasted vegetables.
The food was good but overpriced. The service was adequate. Portions varied from small (halibut) to generous (pork chop). I can find food this good without the premium of parking and paying about $10 over market value per entree.
Our experience at Lola could not have been any better. From the cocktail to the espresso and dessert it was incredibly wonderful. The service, menu, ambiance were all superb. We will be back and many times over, Michael is truly an Iron Chef. Bravo!!!!
