Good but not great food. Well executed but uninspired. Overpriced by a bit for what it is. The shining parts of the meals were the beef cheek pierogies and the desert. Cocktails decent.
In Cleveland for Girls Weekend celebrating 2 Birthdays...Had AWESOME food and GREAT time at Lola ..
The lamb shank was delicious as well as the mushrooms. The soup of the day scallion onions needed a little bit of spice in it. After addition of freshly sliced chilies it was perfect.
Phenomenal. Service was particularly excellent for a dinner with my adult daughter. A very special occasion.
Excellent food and service that exceeded our expectations!
We have loved Lola before, but with the expensive price we think the food should be phenomenal. The soup and scallops were very good, waiter was good but the hanger steak was just ok. Not sure if we will return anytime soon.
Everything about the experience at Lola was fantastic!
Best restaurant ever
Food was healthy and delicious
Impressive server skills
Loved it when we left the table and returned to find our napkin re-folded
Enjoyed watching the kitchen action
Love the open concept
The chefs table looked impressive with the lighted table top
Will definitively return
We had dinner before attending the RockHall induction ceremony.
Everything was great, though we both felt the menu was quite limited. Usually 4 or 5 entrees grab me in a restaurant of this caliber, but here I wasn’t compelled and orders roasted vegetables, which were delicious, but not really what I expected to be my choice.
We loved our dinner at Lola. We know Michael Symon from TV, and had heard good things about Lola, so when we visited Cleveland this past weekend, we decided to give it a try. We were really impressed. Service was quick and attentive. My husband's Lamb Shank was amazing, so tender. And the flavors on my Halibut were also fantastic. My husband also had a side of the Cheesy Polenta, which was delicious. We will definitely try to go back again.
Fully enjoyed our dinner there. The food was excellent with good size portions. A little pricy but reasonable based on quality and portions. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would certainly eat there again
It was a great place to dine solo, food was great & drinks were fabulous.
Like always, Lola delivers! The food, the service everything works. The lovely hostess got us seats at the chef's table. There are only six of them. Get them if you can, great experience. Thanks to all the staff at Lola's!
Charcuterie was amazing (see pic)! My husband's lamb shank was very good, cooked perfectly! I had the bacon wrapped sturgeon which was tasty but too salty. The atmosphere was great for a romantic birthday celebration. It is definitely pricey and therefore we won't be able to come back for a long time, but it was overall a nice evening.
Really enjoyed our time at Lola's. The staff definitely made the experience. Our server was excellent and the hostesses were very friendly. I asked one to take a picture of us (which I NEVER do because I hate asking people to do it) and she offered to step outside to get the Lola's sign in the picture. So sweet! We were celebrating our recent engagement and our server surprised us with candles/cupcakes. Very thoughtful. I also loved the bar - very pretty! The only "complaint" I'd have is that we were staying at Michael Symon's Airbnb and were told to mention this at the restaurant (which I did) for "prime seating." Our table was in a fine spot, as in I wouldn't complain about it normally, but it was located right next to where the servers re-fill their water glasses for the table - so I wouldn't consider it "prime seating." But like I said, I wouldn't have otherwise complained about it.
Great food...interesting combinations and flavors.
Calling foodie GO TO LOLA ! The everything was great. Gina our server did everything perfectly. The menu outstanding first time in a while I have been surprised by a menu. I will be back
Loved dinner and especially loved the pear martinis. Dominic was an exceptional server!
Very friendly staff. Outstanding wine selection. Great place to eat!
We celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a mini trip to Cleveland which included dinner at Lola Bistro. The wait staff was exceptional as were the food and atmosphere. We started with the beef cheek pierogis and they were to die for! My husband ordered the lamb shank and it really was a whole lamb shank! My scallops were cooked perfectly and the sticky toffee pudding was a delicious delight. The signature Lola Cocktail was a great choice and there was an extensive beer, wine, and cocktail menu. Our serve was attentive but not intrusive and presented herself in a friendly and professional way. The manager was on the floor greeting guests and filling water glasses and the bus person was quick to tidy up tables between courses. All in All a definite 5/5 Stars and worth every penny.
Very modern environment
There was a really good set of diverse food options
The chicken was tender juicy and delicious
The calves heart was amazing
Overall great restaurant and I will be back
Even though Lola is still my favorite restaurant of all time, I am missing the dishes I have grown to love over the past five years. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get our favorite crudo, pork belly, and liver pate, and it wasn't on the menu. Very disappointed. Also, the prices of the food has gone upwards, which is fine, if you are getting more. But it looks as if you are getting less. Probably trying to make up for what they are not getting after closing lunch down. Another disappointment.
Fabulous in every way. Pretty noisy but there were Cavs and Indians games that night and the bar was hopping.
The food was average at best and the steak was tough - totally disappointing.
Our server was Brittany. She was super knowledgeable and helped with the wine selection. We enjoyed the Bordeaux as it was exactly the type of red we were hoping for. The pierogi appetizer was delicious and the hanger steak is always superb! It literally melts in your mouth. The entire staff was friendly from our arrival to our exit. I have never had a subpar experience when dining here.
Made a reservation for 830 and didn’t get sat until 845. The table was extremely small and we were uncomfortably close to another table. The wait staff barely had room to move behind me resulting in a lot of brush by activity. The bone marrow was exquisite, the Manhattan was to die for, the ribeye was alright, but the service was great. For the price my expectations were higher as far as ambiance and comfortability but oh well.
Had a fantastic time eating wonderful food with good friends. Have eaten there many times before. Only thing any of us would change is to put in dampeners because the acoustics are terrible regardless of where you sit in the restaurant. Food is terrific, but you need to yell in order to have any sort of conversation.
Great time with our son and daughter in law.
Very satisfied with the whole experience
Enjoyed watching the people on the street
Walking by after indians home opener !
The ambience and the service and the food are absolutely fantastic and everyone is so accommodating. An amazing cocktail and wine list and delicious appetizers and entrees!
Great food. Staff made great recommendations
Lovely experience always. We celebrated our 10th anniversary here. We do hope they start transitioning the menu soon.
We have eaten at the roast before and had a great time. So when we saw his other restaurant close to our hotel it was an easy decision. We were not disappointed. Beef cheek perogies we awesome and we split the flank steak as a meal was great as well.
We sat at the bar and the bartender was engaging and made the night better.
We ate here in 2014 and had a wonderful meal. Returned and were very disappointed. The scallops were forgettable and overpriced. The bone marrow was good but I've had better. Portion size was good though and jam was good. The Pierogi beef cheeks were good but again I've had better at Pike Place in Seattle for a fraction of the price. The meal was overall forgettable. Disappointing.
Our waiter Joseph made our experience one we will never forget. We brought our grandson for his birthday and the food, the service, and the ambience were better than we had hoped for. Our grandson said that this was the best meal he had ever had.
The meals were well presented, excellent taste with extremely good service and accommodations.
my 12 and 16 yr old really like to watch Michael Symon any chance they get and jumped at the chance to eat at Lola's while on a road trip. they each tried the bone marrow and pierogi's along with the hanger steak,Halibut, and scallops. All were very tasty and presented well. while a little pricy for kids, it is worth the price for foodies at any age.
the only thing that would have made their night perfect would have been to meet Michael Symon, so they opted to purchase one of his books instead so that they could test out some of his recipes.
Enjoyed our visit. In Cleveland visiting my son's college. Plan to return many times to Lola's over the next four years. Big fan of Michael Symon so I was really looking forward to eating there. Food was delicious. The whole family enjoyed the experience. Service was excellent. Recommend reservations.
My first time for my birthday I will definitely be returning
