Maria is an incredible chef, human being and force of nature. She makes you feel like you are part of family and serves you outstanding and memorable Greek cuisine. I cannot recommend Loi more as The signature Greek restaurant in Manhattan!
Dessert was ok. Brazini was fresh & amazing
The dining room, food and hospitality was superb! The branzino was so fresh. Enjoyed every bite of the pre-fixe lunch. Will go back again and again.
Wonderful fixed price lunch on our last day. The chef stopped by twice to check and make sure everything was wonderful. Lots of vegetarian and healthy options.
Fagri for two was excellent.
Food and service were excellent! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Lobster orzo dish was overcooked - orzo was mushy, lobster rubbery. Could be because it was Valentines Day. Service was very good.
We were visiting NYC and by luck found this restaurant. It was outstanding, fresh, clean and defined flavors. Services was beyond outstanding, and the food was top notch. The chef and owner came by and introduce herself, charming, elegant and artsy looking lady. She was welcoming and that top the experience. I met my sister there that lives in NYC and this was one of the many highlights on this trip. I recommended 100% it won't disappoint! ahhh and the warm little corn biscuits with fresh olive oil! Just charming and delicious!
Great ambiance and service. Went for dinner before a show so we were a bit limited on time and were unable to get the full experience. Certainly looking forward to visiting again with an open evening ahead.
We love dining here. The entire staff is very attentive and Loi, herself, is very available and hospitable! What a treat! Our pre-fixe lunch was most delightful and lovely wine to accompany the meal. We North Carolinians are thrilled to stay just a block away from this fabulous restaurant! We will be back soon!
Was intrigued by Greek menu but all the food was very bland. Because of the location, was overpriced.
Outstanding service and food!Love that the chef came out and talk to us at the table. Made you feel like you were in a small quaint town rather than lost in the shuffle of New York
Beautiful delicious meal. Maria was so nice to send over a dessert. :).
Upscale Greek dining with the expected Greek hospitality. Food and service were both amazing. Will go again next time we are in the area.
Amazing find. Love this place. Wonderful experience.
The food was outstanding and, in Mediterranean diet fashion, very healthy. Our fish was super fresh and tasty. You could make a whole meal out of the appetizers alone. Our waitress was lovely and friendly and attentive without being overbearing. By the way, you should try the Greek wines that they serve! They were excellent. I look forward to returning in the near future! That being said, this is not a restaurant for those on on tight budget.
Everything here is great. I usually do not like branzino or lamb but they are fantastic here.
My favorites besides the branzino and Lamb are: Calamari, Cod, lemon potato and the dessert yogurt.
Being a native New Yorker, I can truly say that Loi is not just a restaurant, it is an experience that is unmatched by any of its competitors. Chef Maria is absolutely fabulous, her staff are extremely accommodating and professional, the menu is so exquisitely curated that you can taste the love and passion in every dish.
Best Bronzino for 2 ever.....Alex was excellent as was the wait staff....Bravo!!
Not your typical “Chicago” Greek food, Loi raises the bar! Everything is top quality, beautifully prepared and presented. We had the best octopus over a fava bean purée. It melted in the mouth and beats any I have had in Italy, California, or elsewhere. The host and chef greet everyone warmly, making sure their clients are well cared for. Service was perfect, and no detail missed. I have already recommended to a friend and highly recommend to all.
Incredibly delicious food, all organic. Fresh fish flown in daily from Greece! Amazing. They make their own olive oil and yogurt, bot to die for.
Terrific service. Friendly and engaging. Great place for a family/friends gathering.
A wonderful restaurant. Unique dishes, not a thing we tried was even average. Outstanding food and service!
Went here to celebrate my engagement and we were treated like royalty. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The owner continuously checked in on us. Overall a great meal and a great experience! Thank you thank you thank you!! Can’t wait to return!
Wonderful meal, wonderful service, and a wonderful chef! A memorable experience.
Good menu selections. Had Greek salad as a starter (very nice), followed by a dish for 2 (shared!) of the daily fish ($120.00 seemed a bit on the steep side though). Finished with Greek yoghurt (with walnuts and syrup) - excellent. Attentive service, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Delicious!!!! Every thing was very good. The best yogurt.
Maria really makes the difference
Greeting people, coming to tables and a lively person!
But my Musaka ..... I ‘ ve already eaten better Musakas ...
Great seafood ever in NY!
We went for lunch had their set price menu. The beef orzo was amazing. Great baklava and the yogurt was one of the best thing I have ever eaten. On top of an extraordinary meal the owner/chef Mari Loi spent a lot of time chatting with us about food and wellness in the most caring and informative way possible.
La comida muy buena.
El servicio, los meseros bien, a secas.
La dueña es un encanto. Siempre está ahí, haciendo más agradable cualquier momento y pendiente de todo.
Un gran rincón de comida griega que vale la pena por mucho conocer en NY.
Dining here on Christmas Eve was an overall lovely experience . Came to NYC with a friend and looked for somewhere close to where we were staying to dine. A lot of places were booked and offered pre fixe menu’s that seemed either unappetizing or overpriced. We were so happy to have found Loi. We met owner Maria and Alex who were so kind and hospitable. Our waiter Noor was great. The food was delicious. My friend had the Branzino and I ordered the Greek Lasagna - both delicious. And don’t skip out on their village salad and grilled Haloumi for appetizers. Highly recommend!
Our favorite Greek restaurant! The speads are a great beginning - excellent! We had Mussels and Salmon. Highly recommended! And desserts - wow!
Yes of course. It’s an excellent place with tasty foods and an exceptional knowledge on human chemistry against food ingredients. Don’t miss it!
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates fine Greek fare
Excellent service and delicious authentic Greek food!
Amazing experience. And the executive chef is a fabulous person. Very personable. Great food and service
The restaurant was elegant and simple. Chef Loi greeted every guest personally and went around the room ensuring a perfect meal. The food was amazing, beautifully prepared and fresh. The menu is extensive but the branzino and lamb shank were perfect. Service was flawless and save room for dessert, they are all great.
Appetizers were outstanding! Grilled calamari and tuna tartar with bits of crispy phyllo dough was incredible taste wise and texture wise. Entrees (lamb shank orzo and grilled lamb chops) were good but on the dry side unfortunately. Taste was a little bland for me - maybe in their effort to keep it healthy they’d trimmed off a little too much fat. Desserts were also very good - baklava was very good but a little too sweet, walnut cake was cold but I expected it to be warm and not as sweet, my favorite was the Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts. Staff are as sweet and friendly as can be.
