Logan - An American Restaurant
We have always loved Logan and gone there on Special occasions - now it is good bye and see you again - when we come back to Michigan from South Carolina and VT.
Good bye to Kevin!! You are the best!
This was a special event dinner (Medieval Fantasy). The food and beverages were researched to match period and everything was wonderful. Staff and many patrons were in costume, making for a very fun evening.
Wonderful place. Excellent service, relaxed and pleasant ambiance. Exceptionally good food and moderate prices for such quality.
Great place, Good Food, Great Service. The ambiance is fantastic
Great service and interesting/diverse menu. It was our first time at this restaurant and we came up from Toledo. We look forward to returning.
We visited Logan for our 42nd anniversary. This was our first visit. We were lucky that it was a rare nice day and we opted to sit outside. Courtney was our server and she was great. My wife had the quail and I had the steak. Both were perfect, as well as the accompaniments. The only misstep was the soft-shell crab. My wife was looking forward to it since it's a seasonal dish, but hers had far too much batter and was a little mushy as well. I'm not knocking off for this on the overall score because it was otherwise a wonderful experience.
My waiter was very knowledgeable and nice. The food was excellent.
Love this place! Kevin is fantastic at picking the perfect wine!
Our party of four dined on Thai scallops, Bay of Fundy salmon, Confit of duck leg and the pork chop special. All entrees were superb, wine and cocktails pleasing to all and the service top notch. What are the rest of you waiting for? Go to this charming and unassuming place for an exceptional meal and reward yourself accordingly!
One of my favorite spot in Ann Arbor. The food is delicious and the variety of the tasting menu is exceptional!!! I went several times and the tasting menu was the perfect choice!
Ryan and his dedicated, motivated and very skilled crew provide Ann Arbor's very best dining experience. Everything is always first class and over-the-top attentive to detail.
Logan always has a great varied menu. We really like that the entrees come in 2 sizes, so one can get the smaller of the two and then taste/try an appetizer/salad/dessert. Logan is a favorite for fine dining; my wife enjoyed the walleye very much, my duck leg appetizer and leg of lamb were very good, but not perfect. Logan's chef has set such a high bar for me that I unfairly expect the perfect meal every time. It was just a "Thad" off, but I will be back, of course, to try other courses in the future! The staff, the hostess and server, were wonderfully attentive! Thank you.
Excellent food and service. Prefect for celebrating something special.
Second time at Logan's. The food was as wonderful as the first time. Good environment, very enjoyable evening.
Special time with friends. Chef came out to help with wine pairing...because he wanted too. Very cool!
Outstanding food. Chose the tasting menu which was really enough food for two people. Very ample portions. The wine pairing was on point. Absolutely will not disappoint
We both just love Logan. Everything about it. And then there are the biscuits.
We were a party of five and found the menu had a good variety of high quality options, everything was served promptly and was as tasty as described. (We would have liked an ice bucket for our bottle of white wine...)
The food was of high quality but lacked flavor. The duck confit was a little disappointing and needed more bite. The portion was small but overall it was just ok. I would not order it again. My wife had the steak which was excellent though also lacked flavor which was surprising since it was in green peppercorn sauce. It was probably one of the most tender steaks and we both felt we would order it again. Service was a bit slow as we ordered dessert which was not presented to our table for at least 15 minutes. Nevertheless, we will be back as the overall experience was good.
Logan is a great restaurant. Excellent menu with a lot of diverse choices for all tastes. We had an opportunity to try new menu items. Great wine menu with selections from many regions around the world. Service was outstanding too. Highly recommended.
Dishes appear thoughtfully prepared and are good, not spectacular
I like that they offer two portion sizes for entrees. That way, I don’t feel pressure to eat the whole thing and I’m saving money when I’m not as hungry!
Food was great! Logan has really upped their game in the last few years—the food here is among the 2 or 3 best in A2. The wine list is also great and the prices are approachable. Tomahawk pork chop cooked medium rare was delicious and the scallop dish was spot on! Tempura bacon app needs some work but the salads were great.
Great time at Logan! Will be going back. Save room for dessert and don’t get the cauliflower! I love that they offer two portion sizes for entrees.
All in the details. My salad came served on a warm plate. I chose to ignore this. Next my medium rare entree ( how the chef recommends) came medium well . Even though it arrives presliced , it was obviously over done. It was sent back and prepared properly with the managers apology. In an effort to make amends, I was treated to a complimentary dessert.
As always this remains one of AA’s best. Consistently delivering innovative food and quality service. Use of fresh local ingredients in the hands of a gifted chef are a true winning combination. It’s hard to say what is our favorite dishes because they have never disappointed. Go. You will be very pleased with your meal!
Love having the option of small and large sizes
We appreciate the diverse menu choices available. The food is presented in a beautiful way and our selections were delicious. We enjoyed the interaction with our knowledgeable waiter. Couldn't ask for a better dining experience.
Excellent service - entire staff made us feel welcome- wines were a delight and the food was well prepared and artfully served. A++
My bride (of 52 years) and I had a diner/orchestra date and started with Logan. My request for a window table was honored and we had a delightful meal. (And it was Hash-Bash in Ann Arbor - - so we were amply entertained by the parade of "characters" which passed by the window.)
The appetizer of Duck Fritter was very tasty. Shaved Fennel salads were a novel departure from the normal "lettuce-of-some-kind" offerings and were very enjoyable. She had Halibut and I dined on Rainbow Trout - both imaginatively prepared and a delight to the palate. My "Cheese Grits" side dish was smooth and creamy - - memorable.
Wine was delicious - - but they pour a pretty small glass!
Ambiance at our 5:00 reservation was wonderful. NO noise - - but it picked up a little as the place filled up toward the end of our meal. Still - - we could hear ourselves think and could hear one another talk.
No dessert! (We would have gone to sleep at the Michigan Pops Orchestra performance had we indulged.) Coffee was some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter said if came from "Mighty Good Coffee" in Ann Arbor.
The Michigan Pops Orchestra is a collection of supremely talented and highly energetic college musicians. Best $8 per ticket you could possibly spend for entertainment.
Took our friend from the Bay Area in California, who also spends a lot of time in Paris and Rome; she loved it, as did we. Food was excellent; the fennel pollen creme brulee is outstanding.
Food was excellent. Love the option for a "petite" portion that is really almost 1/2 the full portion price.
Always a great meal, and Kevin is wonderful about choosing a lovely wine to go along with!
A new fav in AA wonderful staff and food made for a great eveneing for our 7 top. Cheers.
Beautiful restaurant. All the staff was friendly and prodessional. The food was amazing! The portions were perfect. Highly recommend!
Great vibe, helpful and friendly staff, good food. Especially like that you can get half portions of most entrees. Flavor combinations don't always hit the mark, and some dishes need more seasoning. Overall, it's very good. Looking forward to going back!
Very overpriced, even for Ann Arbor. There is no way that a NY Strip should be $50.00
Would definitely go back!
We had a nice time at Logan’s for dinner. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We LOVE the bartender Raleigh. The drinks were awesome. My only complaint was the food. I liked my dish but my husband didn’t like his. we got the petite portions but I’ll get the full next time. Regardless, it probably won’t keep us from coming back though
Fabulous dinner! Outstanding, personable service, great variety of food choices and excellent preparation.
