Logan - An American Restaurant
Great time at Logan! Will be going back. Save room for dessert and don’t get the cauliflower! I love that they offer two portion sizes for entrees.
All in the details. My salad came served on a warm plate. I chose to ignore this. Next my medium rare entree ( how the chef recommends) came medium well . Even though it arrives presliced , it was obviously over done. It was sent back and prepared properly with the managers apology. In an effort to make amends, I was treated to a complimentary dessert.
As always this remains one of AA’s best. Consistently delivering innovative food and quality service. Use of fresh local ingredients in the hands of a gifted chef are a true winning combination. It’s hard to say what is our favorite dishes because they have never disappointed. Go. You will be very pleased with your meal!
Love having the option of small and large sizes
We appreciate the diverse menu choices available. The food is presented in a beautiful way and our selections were delicious. We enjoyed the interaction with our knowledgeable waiter. Couldn't ask for a better dining experience.

My bride (of 52 years) and I had a diner/orchestra date and started with Logan. My request for a window table was honored and we had a delightful meal. (And it was Hash-Bash in Ann Arbor - - so we were amply entertained by the parade of "characters" which passed by the window.)
The appetizer of Duck Fritter was very tasty. Shaved Fennel salads were a novel departure from the normal "lettuce-of-some-kind" offerings and were very enjoyable. She had Halibut and I dined on Rainbow Trout - both imaginatively prepared and a delight to the palate. My "Cheese Grits" side dish was smooth and creamy - - memorable.
Wine was delicious - - but they pour a pretty small glass!
Ambiance at our 5:00 reservation was wonderful. NO noise - - but it picked up a little as the place filled up toward the end of our meal. Still - - we could hear ourselves think and could hear one another talk.
No dessert! (We would have gone to sleep at the Michigan Pops Orchestra performance had we indulged.) Coffee was some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter said if came from "Mighty Good Coffee" in Ann Arbor.
The Michigan Pops Orchestra is a collection of supremely talented and highly energetic college musicians. Best $8 per ticket you could possibly spend for entertainment.
Took our friend from the Bay Area in California, who also spends a lot of time in Paris and Rome; she loved it, as did we. Food was excellent; the fennel pollen creme brulee is outstanding.
Food was excellent. Love the option for a "petite" portion that is really almost 1/2 the full portion price.
Always a great meal, and Kevin is wonderful about choosing a lovely wine to go along with!
Beautiful restaurant. All the staff was friendly and prodessional. The food was amazing! The portions were perfect. Highly recommend!
Great vibe, helpful and friendly staff, good food. Especially like that you can get half portions of most entrees. Flavor combinations don't always hit the mark, and some dishes need more seasoning. Overall, it's very good. Looking forward to going back!
Very overpriced, even for Ann Arbor. There is no way that a NY Strip should be $50.00

We had a nice time at Logan’s for dinner. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We LOVE the bartender Raleigh. The drinks were awesome. My only complaint was the food. I liked my dish but my husband didn’t like his. we got the petite portions but I’ll get the full next time. Regardless, it probably won’t keep us from coming back though

Intimate restaurant with great food, based on American classics. We ordered two appetizers, asparagus tempura and crab bruschetta, both excellent, and I'll try to make the asparagus at home. Our two main courses, shrimp and grits and the trout, were delicious and big enough for leftovers. The bread pudding dessert was VG too, although I'm not a dessert person. All this comes with very helpful sommelier, who nicely paired our meal with a great white Burgundy.
Service was friendly and courteous as we waited for the balance of our party. Food was outstanding and the atmosphere readily allowed for table conversation. Nice wine list and the bottle arrived at the correct temperature, not “cellar chilled” which causes one to delay consumption. Solid experience beginning to end.
One of the best dining experiences in Ann Arbor, hands down. Never disappoints!
My wife and I have eaten at Logan several times over the past five years. On each occasion, we have enjoyed outstanding food and professional service. The menu has remained fairly consistent over that period of time. It is always pleasing to go to a restaurant and know that the meal you enjoyed previously is still being prepared. At Logan, such dishes include duck confit, Thai scallops, braised short ribs, and the pasta Bolognese. These mainstays are bolstered by thoughtful specials. On this particular visit my wife had Thai scallops and I had the Bolognese. Each was prepared perfectly. Our server was knowledgeable and the wine steward, Kevin, was both helpful and engaging. No surprises here, just great food, great service, and the happy knowledge that Logan has maintained this excellence throughout its history.
Wife and I now in our mid-sixties have been sometimes slighted by the downtown Ann Arbor establishments.
Gladly, our dining at Logan was quite the opposite. From the thoughtful hostess claiming our coats to the excellent service from the wait staff we felt welcomed like old friends.
The Arugula Pesto Gnocchi and Walleye with Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Grass & Blue Crab Sauce were superb. I particularly liked the well-made manhattan and the Sauv Blanc fit the meal perfectly. The mousse dessert was very tasty though surprisingly firm. For those who may remember the Amaretto Mousse served by the old Maude's place, this was a faint echo of that divine treat. We look forward to our next outing at Logan in the days to come.
My wife and I eat out about 4 to 5 times a week. It was our first time at Logan. They were different in a great way. I highly recommend the Crab Avocado Toast for starters. I was really surprised at the freshnest and pop of taste for an appetizer compared with the run of the mill other restaurants appetizers. We had a wonderful experience and will be back.
As usual, the service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. This is our favorite restaurant!
Always delicious. We have multiple favorite dishes on the menu which sometimes makes it hard to choose. But we always enjoy it. And our service was great!

We have never had a bad meal at Logan. The servers are friendly and efficient without being annoying. Kevin knows his wine. It's a great place to go for special occasions and a just a great place when you want a great meal
Got the Thai Scallops and OMG they were so good. It is a bit pricey but the flavor was to die for. My fiance got the Wild Boar Pasta and he said that was amazing too. Great service as well. Will return for sure.

When I made the reservation I should had been very explicit about the table,the 2 top they sat us at was very hard to have a conversation, but the waiter did his best and relocated us
And I thank him for going out of his way to make it a much better experience

Went there for a post-Valentine dinner as we couldn't get the reservation time we needed for 2/14. Also, we had been there for Restaurant Week in January 2019 and loved it. We wanted to experience a regular menu. Again, we had a wonderful mean, and as luck would have it, the same excellent servier, Zied. Everything was delicious, nicely paced and proportioned. We look forward to going there again!
We can be in NYC; Boston; London; Paris; Rome. But the best meals there are measured by the standard of Logan. And while some come close, none has raised the bar above our Ann Arbor gem. Our best moments are spent here.
Special Valentines menu was delicious, filling, and a nice value. The stuffed quail was a highlight. The wine pairing was a good match. Top notch Ann Arbor restaurant.
Set 5 course menu for Valentine's Day, great presentation, great wine pairings, just fabulous food and service. Going back again soon.
We went for the St. Valentine's special menu. The menu was very creative. We enjoyed all the choices. Food and service were excellent.

Great food and ambiance. Did the tasting menu paired with the wine flights (great job Kevin). Have been coming here several years and always have a wonderful experience. Our waiter this time seemed a bit inexperienced and disorganized, but we typically have great service.
We hadn’t been to Logan for far too long, and we were happy to go back and see that it’s still the delicious, attentive, remarkable place we remember. There are some new items on the menu which are great, and our old favorites are there and still as good as we remember. Service was wonderful, just enough attention but plenty of space. Wine list is great. Atmosphere is elegant and comfortable equally. So great to see the owners there as usual, still friendly and attending to details!
We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server and sommelier were attentive and answered all questions/requests. My wife had the Scallops and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Shrimp & Grits and they were the best I’ve ever had. Plating and presentation were outstanding. I would have to nit pick to find anything wrong with the dining experience at Logan. We have a return visit planned soon.
Logan is reliably the best restaurant in Ann Arbor
Logan is one of our favorite restaurants. It is a must in our family for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because we want a great meal!
