The intimate space is framed with floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooks a spacious secluded Saltillo-tiled outdoor private patio featuring bistro string lighting, a four-sided, tiled fireplace for optimal year-round al fresco dining. Cielos and its Bar both reflect a genuine, richly authentic Southern Arizona historic charm and ambience including rough-hewn artist-design hand-painted wood beams, Mexican tin chandeliers, floating potted plants and shade sails.

Lamb chop was great! Monsoon margaritas was amazing!
It was just bad food, I rather eat McDonald's
Very adherent to the current mask and distancing rules. Menu now is printed sheet for each patron. Offer inside or outside or even bar inside. Service is always perfection with quick delivery of drinks, refills of water, and the check when you ask. The menu is simple and ample for most and the wine by glass very nice as is the bottle menu. Nice courtyard setting.
Great food. Nice atmosphere. We were even able to sit outside n July in Tucson!
The service was excellent and the bartender amazing. We highly recommend this venue.
Enjoyable experience for lunch. Undercover outdoor seating was comfortable despite 100-degree temps. Tables well-separated both inside and out. Staff wearing masks and paying attention to pandemic protocols.
Tables are well separated and the staff all wear masks. Excellent table cleaning routine I noticed. The menu is not large but everyone can find some great food. Esp love their lamb chop appetizer that comes with a tasty salad and a perfectly cooked sea bass for dinner. Nice wine by the glass
Excellent service, delicious food. I’d return even if I’m not staying at the Lodge on the Desert.
Nice place to go. Fine dining.
Love the food!!
Outstanding food by a super chef! Located within the historic Lodge on the Desert.
Loved getting back into the world and eating here. Great service, wonderful food and very comfortable atmosphere.
We loved it - beautiful, excellent food. The tamales are to die for.
Loved the food. Especially the entrees. Started out with Guacamole -- very good but a very small portion. Had the House Margaritas as well. First time.
Loved the Pork dinner and the Steak Dinner. Both flavorful. My wife is allergic to cow cheese and I'm celiac. Hard to find a place with a chef that can make dinners flavorful without reliance on butter, cream and gluten. This chef does an amazing job at that.
We will be back.
great night ...glad to have enjoyed Cielo's ...very good meals...great waiter and presentation...will go back...
My husband and I had the sea bass and it was excellent. Everything was really good; the service, the drinks, the bread, salad and entree. Cielos is one of our favorite restaurants in Tucson. Delicious!
Very delicious food. Varied menu. Indoor outdoor seating. Good service.
It was great. Creative dishes. Nice wait staff. Pretty place and quiet. We really enjoyed it and would return next time we are in Tuscon
This is a very cute little restaurant. We were able to sit outside next to the fireplace. Service was good and fast. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend stopping here. We started with the pork belly sliders, then the duck breast and filet. Both were cooked perfect.
Nice restaurant, a little cold with recent rain, but not too bad.
Amazing dining experience. Delicious food. Portions were slight for the price.
It was our first time there, and it will NOT be our last! Charming location, wonderful food and drinks, reasonable pricing! Looking forward to the next time!
Great ambiance. The menu was a Valentine’s Day set ... a bit pricier than their typical menu, but the quality of the food and service was good.
Excellent waitress. Lunch was a bit pricey for me. Food was tasty. We were never rushed.
I would give this restaurant another try - might have been an off night. The service was extremely slow - my meal vegetarian tamales arrived cold and were uninspired. Other folks in the party enjoyed the scallops and short ribs. The filet was considered okay, but not great. It’s a good venue however and a good place to talk with your friends
what an inviting room and patio! the food, wine suggestion, drinks and food were just perfect.
We ate dinner at Cielos almost every night during our stay at Lodge on the Desert and tasted almost everything on the menu. Although everything was great, we especially enjoyed the grilled lamb chops starter which we shared along with the guacamole, the root vegetable salad, the seared scallops, pork chop, and the lodge pasta with added spiced grilled shrimp. The wine list is eclectic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is delightful; we will definitely return on our next trip to Tucson.
Great restaurant and good value. We sat outside in the patio and it was lovely. Food was great and reasonably priced recommended!!
Food was good once it was cooked how we ordered it. 2 of the 4 main courses were over cooked. Service was fair. Food took a long time to come out of kitchen. Our reservation was not properly honored.
Signage to find restaurant is very poor. We did not see name outside of hotel.
If you offer outdoor seating and have heat lamps, they should work! All of them needed propane, so we were very cold. I also ordered pork chops, they were the tiniest pork chops I have ever eaten. I got back to my hotel room and had to have a protein bar, I was still hungry.
Menu is a little limited, but each dish is an excellent example of its kind, well prepared and nicely plated. We had the tamale, which was great, and the scallops, which might have been even better. Drinks were good (great margarita) and reasonably priced. Only caveat was that the wine list seemed a bit overpriced, but the house red and white, Arizona products, were a good value.
Thank you for your visit!! Keep your eyes pealed for of new Menu coming soon Looking forward to your next visit ;)
Wonderful ambiance, great food
Thank you very much !!
Food was very good. Upon arriving, there was no Hostess to seat us. Waited for the wait person who did seat us. The ambiance is rather cold and uninviting. Service is good and food was very good.
I had set up a reservation at 8 pm, knowing that it was New Year's Eve. When I got there the hostess took forever to come out and greet us. There were other people without reservations and they took them first. People with reservations were not checked in, the hostess took people as they came in. What is the point of a reservation if it is not honored?
Jose R. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused. I also want to express that we were on a reservation only wait, so again I'm not quite sure what happened at that particular time. May I have just a little more information, so I can look into were we dropped the ball to make right.. How big was your group? Is there a number attached so I can reach out? We at Cielos love all of our customers, and push to satisfy everyone we can.
Food - salad was great, main course - OK, was not impressed by dessert. Service was very good
New Years Eve celebration dinner. It was perfect!
Thank You so much for your kind words Cheers, All at Cielos
Our first dining experience at Cielos was on New Year’s Eve. It was a most wonderful and delicious way to celebrate! My husband and I would most definitely dine at Cielos again!
We enjoyed dining at Cielos for New Years Eve. We had a prix fixe menu of which one of us chose the duck breast and the other the Mar & Tierra (bacon wrapped filet and a huge prawn). We each sampled the two appetizers and desserts offered. The meal was spot on perfect: correctly prepared, temperature hot, sides awarded the same attention as the main course. We were also happy to find an extensive wine, beer and craft cocktail menus. Service was attentive, friendly and truly designed to allow one to relax and feel at home.
The bar and outside areas looked lovely and we have made a note to return in the spring or fall for outside dining. There was a fireplace and ample heating however we opted to eat in the main dining room. The inside decor is spanish influenced with plants and tasteful art.
Thank you so kindly, and we are pleased you had such a wonderful time. We work hard to make sure our guests ARE at home here. We hope you visit again soon, and if you feel please reach out to the Manager. Thank you again and Happy New Year!!
77 year old venue we had never been to. Great find (for us). So welcoming to find them open on Christmas and the buffet was really really good. I suspect the servers were a bit tired as the service was a bit lacking and more than a bit slow. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks and we were fortunate that the rain had stopped as diners had to walk outside to get to the buffet lines. A bit better protection from the elements might have been called for earlier in the day. Overall, yes, I'd go back, and we will do so.
Fantastic dining experience! We tried two
of the three margaritas. Monsoon was innovative and interesting but classic Lodge won our award. Recommend crab Chile Relleno appetizer with fresh tortillas and arugula beet salad. Pork chop was prepared perfectly with southwestern style. Chicken poblano dish highly regarded by dining partner. All paired well with remarkably food friendly Arizona Bordeaux blend. Really!
