lock stock and barrel Ratings and Reviews
I made the reservation for 6:30 PM for our anniversary. When we arrived, the host tells us that they are busy and will have to check if they had a table.
The server was pleasant but did not once ask if our dinner was satisfactory. A manager (?) stopped by and asked if everything was ok.
No one mentioned anything about our anniversary!
It's the little things that make someone come back!!!
I don't plan on returning!
My husband got the barrel steak which was cooked to perfection and I got the jumbo fried shrimp with mashed potatoes and salad bar. Our waitress brought over a Oreo cheese cake with a candle on top to help celebrate our special anniversary occasion. This place was recommended by a local friend as my husband was here on business. All the food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and manager came by to say happy anniversary.
The food was excellent, as it always is. We both had prime rib which was as good or better as what we've had the famous House of Prime Rib in San Francisco. Our server, Michele provided excellent service and was very friendly and welcoming.
The one thing that did surprise me was that when I made our reservation I indicated we were celebrating our anniversary. In the past we've been served complimentary champagne, but this time we weren't. That doesn't mean we won't return, because we will, we really love the food at LSB. But if they want to compete with other steakhouse restaurants like Chandler's or Ruth's Chris, they dropped the ball here.
Overall, it was a fine dining experience.
Good food and great service as expected at Lock Stock! We didn’t get our usual favorites as it was a special occasion and we decided to step out of the norm but we were happy to try something new.
We went back downstairs after enjoying dinner to take in the live music is the bar area and a couple more cocktails. Perfect evening!
Several of us like to get together every week for lunch and an extended discussion. There are many restaurants that are too noisy so we cannot hear each other's words of wisdom. The acoustics at LS&B enabled us to enjoy everybody's input. The waitress, Michele, was professional, gracious and caring. She was pro-active regarding the gluten-free dietary needs of one of the group, which was much appreciated. The food was WONDERFUL, including the dessert. None of us was displeased with anything about the experience. We intend to make it a weekly event!
The food was not great. The salad bar lettuce was brown. The filet that was order as medium was do done and dry we couldn't eat it. The clam chowder had no clams in it. The rib eye was tough and didn't have much flavor.
On a good note the waitress was great.
My wife and I went there to celebrate a big occaision. The event was just above average. Meaning I would give it a 3 1/2 stars out of 5. We ordered 2 filet mignons with sides. My wife's filet was perfectly done. Mine was a bit over cooked which made it slightly tough for a filet mignon. The waiter was a bit distracted seeing as he had only 4 tables to serve. We had to ask for dessert instead of given a menu. Finally, the creme brulee we ordered was turned to pudding because it was over "brulee'd". Overall, I would give it another chance.
P.S. The live music was excellent!
The food was just not real good. The asparagus was so over done/roasted it was in edible. It seemed old and then re-heated which does not work. I had the filet -Oscar style and I would bet that the crab used was canned crab, not fresh. My wife's Chicken Marsala sauce had a burnt flavor. Having eaten here in the past and been satisfied over the years, this was disappointing and very over priced for the quality.
