I brought my 70 year old sister and my 47 year old son for their birthday's....there was such a fabulous variety of food choices for (me too) all and we just had the best food, service, and time. It was a great dinner! I highly recommend this restaurant. My son is a certified nutritionist and a REAL FOODIE...he loved it! Nice time for all!!!
It was our Anniversary. Restaurant doesn’t do anything special.
Amazing food, we will definitely be back! The atmosphere was very cozy and when the little jazz band started up, it was wonderful.
We have enjoyed dining at Lock Stock and Barrel for over 20 years. Great food, nice atmosphere and excellent service.
Best steak in Boise !
Made reservations for dinner prior to going to see George Lopez @ Morrison Center. Dinner was ahhhmazing! I ordered the weekend special, Barrel steak with mushroom risotto. The meat was super tender and the risotto was the best I’ve ever had.
It's always a treat to go to LS&B. I took my son and his girlfriend there for her Birthday. The food is great and portions are generous (her piece of salmon was HUGE). This is not an inexpensive place to eat, so we save it for special occasions. That said, it's our favorite special occasion restaurant. Great, courteous (yet not intrusive) service is the norm here, and the courtesy slice of mud pie (large enough to share) on a birthday is the final piece after the included salad bar and bread to make this an enjoyable experience.
Our server was excellent(Sarah). She was very attentive and very friendly.
Everything was very good with the exception of the service. It was the poorest service we have received at Lock Stock and Barrel.
Excellent choice of steaks (USDA Barrel is top), great wine list, friendly waiters, simply my favourite steakhouse in Boise
Great food, friendly staff, nice dining experience.
Always great service and food, we dine here frequently for business meals.
Prime rib was excellent loved it. Parmesan potatoes were boring no flavor 3 of us ordered them no more than two bites were taken. Service was excellent
We had our anniversary dinner, it was spectacular prime rib! Everything was top notch!
Roasted Garlic & Brie, and Lobster Tails & Shrimp dinners were yummy - great wine selection too !!!
Great service and the best prime rib in town. We are never disappointed and they are very quick as well, you won't be here or three hours!
Was living overseas for the last three years in Germany and this was the first steakhouse I chose to eat at upon my return. Best steak in the valley and perfect for a date night.
Gem of a restaurant with amazing steak and prime rib. Excellent creme brule.
Food was outstanding and service was excellent. I has the prime rib which was cooked perfectly to order. My wife had pork tenderloins and it was the best pork dish she has ever had. The waitress was amazing, she went out of her way to make sure we were happy and that all the food was acceptable.
Great food- one of THE BEST steakhouses in town- you won't be disappointed. We loved it, and will be back.
We have been to Lock Stock and Barrel many times and we love it every time. We enjoy their menu choices, prices and their delicious food! The service is wonderful as well. This time we took our son and his fiancé to eat for a special occasion and we were not disappointed. They loved the food as well. We recently visited a pricier steakhouse in Boise and their food was not as good as Lock Stock and Barrel's. We are big fans!
It was a casual and comfortable place. Old and worn out. I asked the waiter to leave off the cheese from my salad, he left off the Parmesan but I got the feta anyway. Nothing vegan on the menu.
It was a casual place my in laws would enjoy but not a special occasion celebration place. In my opinion.
I love this place, I’ve been coming to LSB for 30 years and I have never been disappointed my filet was perfectly cooked and I had one of the biggest baked potatoes I’ve ever seen, it was a great meal!
We always enjoy dining at Lock Stock and Barrel. Only issue was front desk had to come to our table after being seated to ask again what are name was for the reservation. This was asked when we arrived. They should verify then and not later.
Service is great! Food is excellent and the pricing is very nice. There are several sections to the place, including a bar area, upper and lower eating areas and banquet or large meeting rooms. From appetizers to prime rib, to steak and all the trimmings! All great and will be heading back again, real soon.
its just like they advertise. Not pretentious, great salad bar, good choice of sides that come with each meal and they can grill some serious cuts of beef and seafood. Really quality cuts, cooked very well. The place is cozy and comfortable, dressed up or casual is all comfortable. We like the bar and live music, but it does not impact the restaurant vibe.
It is a consistent Boise classic. Boise has a lot of choices for a fairly pricey steak house and this place is not cheap, but it will always be worth it.
Lamb was not very good
The food amazing. We were seated early and served promptly. Waiter never let my cup go half empty
We’ve been coming to Lock Stock since they were located on Emerald street. Have always had amazing prime rib. Quite frankly, it’s my favorite place for prime rib. Unfortunately, the prime was very tough this past experience. I’m not sure if this was just a bad night or if this is the new norm. The salad bar seems to have very few selections lately and it was always such a great salad bar in the past. It’s a drive to the new location so don’t come as often. The clam chowder was just ok. Wait staff was fantastic though, so that helped. It will be a while before I pay that again for what we got. Although, when the prime is good, the value is spot on. Our dogs enjoyed the prime rib as they got most of it unfortunately. Sincerely, Miss Disappointed.
Building is old and in dire need of an update. The food was below average. Salad bar was meager, my pork tenderloin was smothered in a somewhat bitter glaze, and my wife's prime rib was sliced as thick as cultured stone and just as tough. They had pack so many people in the bar I bet they were in violation of fire code. The only redeeming quality of the evening was the song selections by the small band jammed in the corner. This used to be a premium establishment in the Boise market but there are so many more options now. They had better raise their game or they will suffer the same fate as so many others have in this dining culture.
Great place to eat a nice dinner, customer service seems to be a number one priority, we'll go back,
Consistently provide good food and excellent service.
We love the steak, I personally enjoyed the Filet Oscar and the salad bar is the best and freshest by far here locally. My husband loved his Rib Eye, and it was well done ask he requested. The first visit ever the music was low key and perfect for our date night. However this weekend Saturday night, same weekend night as previous visit, the music was loud with single vocalist and some duet and way too loud. This was the only down side.
The food was not cooked correctly. Both my date and I ordered medium rare and mine was raw and his was well done. The bacon wrapped shrimp was soggy. For $100 this experience felt like highway robbery.
Our server was great! Friendly banter, good ambience and had my first Idaho potato
The ambiance is dated. The steak had a good flavor and was cooked correctly. However, the meat was not as tender as I had hoped it would be. The green beans were cooked just right. The salad as okay.
This resteraunt is our favorite but the pork tenderloin was way overcooked! Very disappointing
Food was delicious and service was excellent. This was my first visit but it won't be the last.
Normally, we would rate this experience 4 to 5 stars but this visit was not up to the normal. We were celebrating my birthday as we do every year . (Also, on her birthday). Here goes:
First. The lighting over table 2 is so dim that we could not read the menu. Second: The hot rolls were undercooked. We sent them back twice. Finally, the rice was also undercooked and was left uneaten on the plate.
We did complain about the rolls and probably the lighting but the rice was part of the main dish and didn't want to embarrass ourselves any more.
