lock stock and barrel
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. If you are looking for a quiet place the noise is a little loud for that.
Awesome family dinner for 7. We had the prime rib special, bone in pork steak, shrimp scampi, steak salad and steak sirloin. The salad bar is the best and this night clam chowder and prime rip chili were the soup specials
We also had martinis, wine and beer all were great.
The service was perfect, our water was constantly filled and used dishes removed quickly.
All in all a great restaurant and we will be back.
Always love the food at LSB.
Good food at a decent price. We've been there several times and food is consistently good and the service is great.
Food and service were excellent! It was a little loud though at times hard to carry a coversation.
Been to lock stock and barrell many many time, the server was terrible, he was slow, would come back to the table smelling like he just took a drag from a cigarette. The food quality was terrible and looked cheap and tasted very poor like it came from an Applebee’s! This trip was very disappointing and we were there to celebrate and left hungry and disappointed.
We are so very sorry to hear about your bad experience. We do have a policy that floor staff is not allowed to smoke and so we will definitely look into this problem. As far as the quality of the food, we definitely strive to put out a very high quality product and always are willing to fix any problems that come up with preparation or quality. We hope that we are given the opportunity to make a better showing for you in the future. Thank you so much for your patronage and feedback.
Service was great and food was good like always. Only issue was the wifes steak was closer to medium than the medium rare she ordered. Will be back.
We went for our anniversary, great food and service as usual. One of our favorite places
Great food and service was excellent. So many options to choose from! Great steaks, crab cakes appetizer and sides. Everything was cooked to our liking!
We enjoyed this restaurant which had live music when we arrived. Our server was excellent and the meal so much better than a posh expensive steakhouse we'd gone to in Portland Oregon.
Well priced tasty food. Loved it.
The restaurant is simple, no frills but we enjoyed it and the music.
Dads steak was ordered medium and came out well done. Steak wasn’t as good as it’s been in the past. Salad bar and chowder was outstanding.
Great service matching the great food!
Such a nice, quiet little restaurant. Service was fantastic and the rack of lamb was incredible!
When I ask my sons where they want to go to dinner it is always Lock Stock and Barrel. I started spoiling them 3 years ago and take them there at least 3 times a year. Best steak house n Boise. From opening the door for us when we arrive the staff is fabulous, right there when you need something. All the years going here I have never had a bad experience (even took my prom date there back in the 70's). Thank you to the management for having such high quality workers.
Pretty nice place. Food was excellent, but priced a little high for a country boy. I'm sure it's pretty normal for the urbanites. Waiter was very personable.
We had their famous prime rib and it was beyond excellent. We also had the salad bar and we loved it...especially the clam chowder! This has been one of our favorite places for many years!
I’ve been to Lock Stock and Barrel several times. The food is excellent with a large selection of entrees. The service is also excellent. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The manager checked in on us which was nice. I had a couple special requests for my meal and they were met satisfactorily. I will definitely return!
We love this place! Just a couple of blocks from the center of downtown, the location is convenient for those who need parking or for those close who want to walk. This is a local Boise establishment and we love to support local businesses. And most importantly, the food is great! We've always had great meals here and make sure to recommend to friends.
The salad/soup bar was excellent as always. The salad bar isn't flashy but it always pleases with the basics of what forms a great salad. Personally I'd like them to add mushrooms, but that's a personal preference. The Clam Chowder - most excellent as always.
I had a New York Strip Steak that was expertly prepared at medium rare. The steak was tender and full of flavor. I can't wait to order this again! The loaded baked potato that accompanied was a great addition. I added on breaded shrimp as well, and while good, these were clearly frozen and and not homemade breaded like they were years back (please turn back the clock and prepare your own breaded shrimp again!). My wife had a Barrel Steak that was also cooked as she requested at well done that she said was flavorfull. She enjoyed a Baked Potato as well.
Dessert was the traditional mud pie (Cow Pie) that always pleases - the fudge on the top was so good.
Service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, friendly, funny, and at the same time, not intrusive at all. Gold stars!
We enjoyed the convenience of the online reservation service as well.
This place = great food and great service. We'll be back soon!
As always, great food, great ambience, great band. Unfortunately, the service was subpar this time. Our waitress had a trainee with her and seemed a little overwhelmed. Took us almost 20 minutes to order, and 25 minutes to get our drinks, which they forgot. I would understand if it was a weekend night, but it was a Thursday at 5:30.
I went here to get Prime Rib and Pappi Van Winkle whisky and you were out of Pappi, please get Pappi, I really want to try it.
Prime Rib was wonderful and the Filet Mignon with mozzarella and a port wine reduction sauce was amazing!
great food however there was apart of 10 next to us t\and they were extremely boisterous
Food and service was great. We choose Lock Stock and Barrel for my wifes birday dinner because we knew the food will always be great and the service will always be great. As expected both were wonderful. Thanks for everything. Kris Brown
Had a double suprise date with my wife and another couple and the staff was fantastic. Food was amazing we were all eye balling everyones plates cause they all looked so good. We will be back for sure and the soups were both top notch.
Went here for a business lunch. It was great value for the food. The server was great and the noise level was quiet.
Noise in restaurant was somewhat bothersome. I wear hearing aids. Waiter could have been a little more aattentive. Food was very good.
My steak has zero flavor. Worst meal I have ever had!!!
Delicious food, attentive server made for a lovely evening out with our friends. Realizing this an established Boise restaurant, I must note that the ambiance doesn't quite exceed our expectations especially with the price point of the entree's.
Our waiter as exceptional! He was attentive without hovering and we never felt 'forgotten'. The chef prepared each of our entree's to perfection. Three of us enjoyed steaks while the fourth member of our party had the lamb.
Great as always. There was a large group of college grads drinking and very loud. But fortunately that was towards the end of our meal.
Best steak in boise and half the price of other downtown steakhouses. Cool old leather and wood vibe.
I ordered a medium rare steak... It came out rare... My wife ordered a medium well steak... It came out medium rare. Salad bar was horrible... Old lettuce and no cheese... What salad bar has no cheese? My 7 year old could have made a better dinner. Just a all around horrible experience. Not an experience I would ever pay 80 bucks for. Rather would have gone to Texas Roadhouse... Or Sizzler.
Family fun. Great setting wonderful service and delicious
We were seated right away. The food was great. Service was great. Prices are a little expensive.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Excellent service.
Our server, Taylor was fabulous. The food was pretty good. Not THE BEST I’ve had but still very good. Thank you for a good first experience. We will definitely be coming back!
The food was very tasty and well presented. I especially loved the sourdough rolls. My husband had the prime rib and I had the Chicken Marsala with risotto (it was one of the nightly specials). Both dishes were excellent. I had a tomato, feta, and onion salad with my meal that easily could’ve been a meal on itself....it was so good. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable without being stuffy. The tables on the restaurant are not tightly packed together, as is often the case with other eateries in town. The only downside I noticed was the noise. We were seated on the upper level and we’d occasionally hear loud talking and laughter from the bar area downstairs. It wasn’t a deal breaker, just something to note.
Lock Stock and Barrel has been a favorite for years. It never disappoints us. A tad bit noisy but it usually is on a Saturday night. People enjoying themselves. Love the food and drinks. Our server was very attentive but not hovering.
As usual everything was quite enjoyable. Still out favorite place in Boise.
Not like it used to be, the service was not much better than McDonalds is employing lately. Food was 50/50 as my wife enjoyed her meal but my steak was tough and bland. The family across from use with young children took away from the atmosphere.
