Perfect. Just perfect every time.
We could not speak to our guests as it was so noisy!!
We expected to get the $35.00 Special and was told it was not available!!
There were things that were on the menu that they didn't have
My husband had short ribs that were so small that we all had to laugh, no vegetable only dried up potato
We were not offered dessert or coffee
It was AWFUL!!!!
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the owner is terrific and the overall atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Whether you’re out for a romantic date night or out with friends, this place will not disappoint.
We’re so sorry L’Oceano is closing. We hope they make a comeback real soon.
Tasting menu is a great deal, going to miss this place!
We LOVE L’Oceano! We’re going to miss you guys! Please reopen in another location.
The food and ambiance was amazing. The owner was super nice and constantly came to the table talking with us. Great experience. Too bad he’s retiring and closing down soon but happy that I had a chance to experience this place before so
Excellent dishes, the best grilled oysters I’ve ever had, and phenomenal service!
Highly recommend, excellent food & service. Hope they find new location
Food excellent. Service very personal. Get here before it closes.
Outstanding whole fish.
So disappointed that L'Oceano closed. Loved this place and all of the people. Will miss you all!
If you love seafood you have to get the experience before he closes!!!!!!!!! You will only be disappointed if you don’t go.
I'm so sorry to see L'Oceano close :( Always a fantastic meal and the owner is so attentive and fun. I certainly hope he lands somewhere else in the future. I'm going to try my best to get there again before the 26th to enjoy this wonderful restaurant. It will surely be missed.
Will miss this place!
Very good meal. My husband was a little disappointed with his Mahi Mahi, saying it was over cooked (he orders this all the time when out). But the other two meals were delicious. Would have appreciated some gluten free dessert options.
Always an excellent dining experience. We will miss L’Oceano ave can’t wait for Chris to embark on a new venture!
Chris (owner) as always greeted us as we entered the restaurant. We have dined here many times. This was a special and sad occasion. L‘Oceano is closing in a few weeks. Our meals have always been delicious with a special treat from Chris. We will miss the restaurant and wish Chris the best.
The food was just ok...nothing to write home about. The service was poor.
So sorry to hear this restaurant will be closest the end of the month. I love the food, vibe and the service. Hoping they reopen soon, I definitely will patronize.
Wonderful evening food delicious, wait staff excellent, owner spectacular
Dinner at L’Oceano has always been great, starting with Chris, the owner, who greets you at the door, shows you to your table, opens your wine and goes over the wonderful specials with you. Then one of his very competent waiters comes over to take your order. Chris serves a delicious caponata with bread while you wait for your dinner.
On Saturday, for appetizers we had his gnocchi (The best we ever had) and sutffed long hots, also excellent. We had the salmon and pompano for dinner, awesome. For dessert we had coffee and we shared his 7 layer chocolate cake, delicious. It was, as always, a great evening.
I say all this because this will be the last review I do for L’Oceano. Chris is moving on to do other things which is great for him, but we were very sad on Saturday night. L’Oceano was one of our go-to restaurants in Collingswood. When you just were not in the mood for pasta (Can’t believe I even said that), you can go to L’Oceano for great seafood, Italian style. Chris always made you feel welcomed and always had time to chat with you about anything and everything. We’ve been going to L’Oceano since it’s inception so we feel like we have a friend in Chris, and now we are going to miss our friend. We can’t imagined Collingswood without L’Oceano.
Chris, we wish you nothing but the best for you and your family. Thanks for the memories!

Love this place! So sorry to hear he is closing, but I made another reservation in 2 weeks. Can’t wait.
Food was great! Th ey cook right in front of you so food is nice and hot. Great BYOB!!
Always a very pleasant dining experience. A tragedy that the are closing the end of October. Will try to get back there before they do. Hopefully they will find a new location and continue serving their great food.
Wonderful as always! My wife and I love the atmosphere and the unique dishes that L'Oceano offers. Particularly, we enjoy their four course tasting menu and stuffed trout entree. It is such a shame that they will be closing in a few weeks, through no fault of their own (leasing issue). We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will find a new location in Collingswood, so we can continue to enjoy the high quality experience they offer for years to come!
My wife and I are going to miss this special restaurant.
Wonderful food and service, homey feel. Loved it!
Our meal was absolutely phenomenal. The grilled oysters and lobster Mac and cheese are a must. The mahi mahi and polio mattone are also fantastic. We loved our experience here!! Thank you so much❤️
Food was insane!! The service, was great couldnt ask for better
Excellent food and fantastic service as usual. So disappointed to hear our favorite restaurant is closing it’s doors😭
We went for anniversary. Again from beginning to end, everything was delicious. We will be returning!
Great little hidden gem in Collingswood. BYOB
Intimate space, delicious food, great service.
Food and service were amazing! Only complaint is that it’s very loud. But would definitely return.
Excellent, impeccable, friendly service!! Food was all delicious and creative - we loved all the small pates - tried almost all of them and shared. Desserts fabulous and huge, hope you have someone to share with:-)
A can't miss if you are in the area, perfect for pre concert at BB&T.
Waiter was great.
Not as good as our first visit. The owner wasn't here tonight. Service flow was weird & not very personal like last time. We arrived and our table was close and pointed at. We were confused, did that mean seat ourselves? So we walked over and sat. Our waiter, who we never saw again until the bill time, was nice. We had to ask for bread. Each course was brought out by a different guy. Husband asked for regular potatoes instead of sweet potatoes but his meal still came with them & a bowl of mashed on the side,. He doesn't like the smell or taste of sweet potatoes & was confused why they were there & then treated as if they were a bonus. No one wanted them. There's desserts on the menu that are only for people getting the prix fixe meal but if you ask for them & they have enough they will give it.
We live this restaurant and love the experience that we always have here!
Our first time here and we were completely in awe by each item that came to the table: the grilled calamari- which I enjoy more than the deep fried- were amazing, a variety of flavors and deliciously fresh grilled calamari. The grilled romaine- spectacular, very large and so many flavors. This should be a must. My wife’s special- pompano- was the best fish she ever had. My stuffed trout- outstanding, and a very large portion. They manage to get so many flavors in their dishes. My son’s lobster pot pie- awesome. We shared a wonderful and refreshing key lime pie. Chris always checked after each item and you can tell he is very proud about the food he serves. We had heard so much about L’Oceano and were so happy we finally made it there. Can’t wait to go back.
