An Infatuation favorite, Locanda Verde is a very good restaurant, and it is so because the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Nice ambiance but a bit loud. Our waitress was very dry and hurried. Food was ok but the portions were small for the price. Wine prices are ridiculous.
Food was good not great
Excellent food as usual, but avoid the front room at sunset. No shades on the windows, so for about a half hour you’re blinded or using a menu to shield your eyes. Two tables in our section asked to move while we were there. Definitely put a damper on our evening and we rushed to finish. We can’t be the first to have this experience, surprised the restaurant hasn’t remedied the situation.
Super high quality food. Service to match. Expert, friendly, accomodating. Looking foward to returning.
Nos recibieron muy bien y la atencion fue perfecta!! La proxima vez que estemos en New York seguro volveremos!!
The food was delicious and the table bread (zucchini, oil, cheese, etc.) was amazing! The restaurant itself is very pretty.
Sitting outside and having a drink with their ricotta is heaven!
We went to dinner with high expectations but we were disappointed with our evening at Locanda Verde. While the service could not have been better, the noise level in the restaurant was quite high and we were about 6 inches away from the table next to us. The octopus appetizer was very chewy and the pasta came out cold. The entrees however were good. Dessert was non-descript. Maybe it was just an off night but for the price, dinner should have been superb. We will not be rushing back.
Great food and atmosphere for Saturday lunch
Buen ambiente, ruidoso. Riquísimos los platos, buena presentación.
Great food and service.
Small plates allow great sharing opportunites
Sheep's Milk Ricotta, Blue Crab, Lamb Meatball Sliders, Pappadelle, Grandma's Ravoli
Warm Pear Tart, and Rhubarb Fantasia
First time dining here. Excellent service, delicious meal. Great ambiance.
Food & service were incredible, however the clientele leaved a lot to be desired. Obnoxious frat boy financial workers dominated the bar and tables. Not a great experience.
We love this place in general, although the patrons colored the atmosphere enough that we will have to be considerate about when we return.
4 of us went for a celebration. $550 later, our collective experience was that you pay for more than you receive. You pay for fine dining without getting the fine dining. The food was very good, but the service was lackluster. The setting is casual, the service is too casual, the price is not. I’m on paying $100 or more per person, but I suppose for that cost I want the best in food AND in service. I’m not sure Locanda has figured that portion out just yet. Bummer.
Some of the best pasta dishes in NYC — and worth every precious penny!
Great service and food. Tight squeeze for seating.
Killer as always. Such a great place! Food never disappoints.
My steak was under cooked and I sent it back and then it was like shoe leather.
Great room and delicious food.
Mother’s Day Brunch was wonderful. I loved the tasty eggplant sandwich, while the others had delicious French toast and pancakes. Service is always great and the atmosphere is lovely.
Helped to make a special day
Table was tight. Should've kept it open as a round table for 5 instead of dropping it down as a 4 top with 2 Seats on one side. At 9 months pregnant it was uncomfortable to eat :(
Especially since I made the reservation so long ago for today being mother's day
This is one of our go to brunch or dinner spots for special occasions. The service is always great as is the food. A must try if you’ve never been. Very kid friendly as well.
Went for mother’s day and was disappointed by the service and very slow delivery of food (particularly since we had a young child). Not the A+ experience i remeber that brought me back to celebrate our special occasion.
Hostess just rude. Waitress very nice. Seated by door with a huge draft every time someone entered or left. Asked to move but they would not accommodate.
We went to Locanda Verde for Mother's day. They offered a Brunch menu that had so many awesome starters and dishes. It was difficult to choose which one, good thing there were four of us so we could taste different dishes. Very attentive and friendly staff also made the day just perfect.
Delicious burrata! We also shared 3 types of pasta. The rabbit one was delicious! I was afraid to order it bc I wasn't sure if it would taste gamey but not at all. Drinks were phenomenal as well! Good service. Overall, I couldn't really find any major flaws with this place
Love this place. It's a regular for us. The atmosphere, location and of course the food are all first rate.
I am always happy to go to Locanda Verde, especially when i can bring people who have not been to the restaurant before. This time it was with friends who were here from Los Angeles. We shared all of the bruschetta, which were terrific as usual. My LA friends had agnelloti & a whole fish, I had the pasta with ragu, and another friend had the ravioli. We had a delicious vermentino. The place was busy as usual. The only negatives was that the restaurant was unusually cold, I think because it had gone from very hot to cold overnight. Our waitperson was lovely and suggested her favorite dessert, which we thought was great. This is one of my favorite restaurants.
We had a table by the window. Atmosphere was bustling and energetic, but not too loud. We were served promptly and wait staff very accommodating. Delicious fish and side dishes. On the pricey side, but everything was delicious, fresh, and carefully prepared, so it was worth it. Limited menu-not a ton of choices. Great desserts. Had a walk on the pier, which is 2 blocks away, which added a lot to our get together.
Went for my birthday. Food was good and ambiance was great. Best bar nuts ever.
Went for breakfast. Ricotta lemon pancakes were amazing, highly recommend.
Our waiter was a bit dry, no personality which took away from what could have been a 5 star experience.
While the food was delicious, we were disappointed with the level of service. We arrived early for our reservation and let the hostess know that if our table was ready earlier than our reservation, we'd love to be seated, but if not, we were happy to enjoy a cocktail at the bar or in the hotel lobby. She said our table was not ready quite yet but that we'd probably be able to get seated a little bit early. We sat in the hotel lobby and were told there would be someone who would come by our area to take our order. We sat there for over 20 minutes with no service, but three different people came by to tell us that someone else would be by to take our order. Unfortunately, we were never able to place a drink order before our table was ready at our reservation time. Tableside service was very slow, but the food was delicious and did come out in a timely manner.
I have always loved Locande Verde. Great food, great vibes, friendly staff...Love it for Dinner or Brunch!
Great food, ambiance and location. Staff wasn't welcoming and made a mistake with our bill.
Advice to mgmt: Be more careful in who you employ, a professional waiter can make or break the experience.
Small portions. Brunch menu could be a bit more original.
