What Insiders Are Saying
An Infatuation favorite, Locanda Verde is a very good restaurant, and it is so because the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
High end and delicious Italian food.
Excellent and gracious service, from all support staff. Pasta was fresh and so good, however our black bass filet tasted re-heated and chewy.

Great Italian Food
Hostess & Server very professional
I recommend a try worth it
Service was poor considering the price of the meal. Very little attention to detail. Perhaps they were understaffed.
Enjoyed the meal. Noisy, reasonably good food, servesd with considerate service. Quite expensive for what was eaten. Choice of wine was not available, and alternative taken was barely passable.
Went here for Sunday brunch. The food was very good, I got the monkey bread which I highly recommend it was warm and delicious and the Farm Egg Crostini which was tasty. The service was slow at first, it took 5-10 minutes for someone to come over initially and then another 10 minutes at least to get our drinks. (pre mixed bloody mary, mimosa and prosecco) They brought the bottle of prosecco over and poured it in front of me which was nice. Also had the lemon tart for dessert which was very good.
I've been waiting a long time to go to Locanda Verde, when I finally did wasnt impressed by the food.
I was there for brunch, everything was very blend, dont understand the hype and good reviews that the place gets. The food is not worth what I paid for and I usually dont mind paying a lot of money as long as the food is good. I had the shrimps and grits and theri version of eggs benedicts. The ambiance is nice but the service was not good either. I've satisfied my curiosity about the place, not coming back though.
Service was terrible
It's heaven. And we were given the perfect table for what we wanted to accomplish. The only only only thing is that the waiters kept coming by to take our plates. I hate that. Really and truly dislike the eyes
on us. Plus we were engaged in an intense conversation and didn't want to connect with the waiters to tell them we weren't done. I think they can be a little more intuitive.
Otherwise - it couldn't have been better.
Voyage éclair à New York
Best Italian in NYC! Food, service, wine and ambiance are all really well done.
Waitress no attentive
Thanks a wonderful dining experience! Love your restaurant!!
Daughter graduated as a chef
I’ve been to LV several times for lunch and dinner, never brunch. Definitely won’t be going back for brunch. Hostesses were glum, waiters were slow, food was mediocre. Pancakes served weren’t warm (late pick up) and the French Toast was partially “over toasted”. I think I could’ve cooked both dishes better. I will actually recommend to everyone I know to NOT dine at LV for brunch. While the waiter left a lot to be desired, I still left him generous tip.
Outstanding food and ambience for special occasions!!
Great brunch spot with an excellent and concise menu. I recommend the Uovo Modanese and the ricotta plate. Very good service.
Vibrant setting with attentive yet unobtrusive and knowledgeable staff. Meal was well presented and well prepared. Atmosphere was comfortable with some Italian charm but tables were a bit cramped. All in all an enjoyable experience.
Service was really good. We sat on the patio so I cannot discuss the noise level. The beet appetizer was really good.
Not enough veggie options for one of our guests
Amazing italian good, out of this world pasta, scallops were like butter, and a fantastic wine list.
Great ambience, went for brunch! Everything was excellent
Great location and very good food. While the staff were friendly the service was terrible. They came to our table multiple times with the wrong food. There were no condiments on the table and they had to be asked for and had no sugar for the coffee.
You only get one chance to make a first impression. Sadly this restaurant made a bad one. The hostess was rude and we had to wait an unreasonably long time to be seated. The server then seemed to believe we were unable to read the menu, or perhaps too lacking in sophistication to understand it.
Thankfully the food was better.
The dishes were beautifully presented, in some cases the flavor didn’t match the picture. The steak tartare was very enjoyable. The scallops were outstanding and the highlight of the night.
Service was outstanding. Gunner was super helpful. Best pasta I’ve ever eaten!
Excellent choice if you want genuine Italian cuisine without pretension in a very cosmopolitan setting.
Atención muy buena, desayuno suculento, y un ambiente demasiado sobrio para mi gusto.
Really enjoyed breakfast - the service was great, attentive and the food was really good. I'll definitely go back again.
This brunch was to celebrate my daughter's 26th birthday. This was my first time here and I will definitely return, probably for dinner the next time around. The food and drinks were all outstanding, our server was wonderful and we were seated very promptly for our brunch celebration. A great place to go!
This was one of my favorite meals while in NYC celebrating my birthday. Our server was attentive, friendly, and paid special attention to detail in our conversation to make the experience feel personal. The stand out dish was the Sheeps Milk Ricotta with Truffled Honey and Burnt Toast - HOLY YUM - i could eat that for every meal. We also had the monkey bread and soft scramble, both delicious as well. When the served found out it was my birthday, he brought us house-made ice cream and packed up two house-made doughnuts for us to thank home. Thank you Locanda Verde!!
Great but loud. The pasta is do good they should let people know they are available with any desired sauces
When -- not if -- you go to this Tribeca classic -- you MUST get the ricotta crostini appetizer. My dinner date and I have been dreaming of it for a year! Creamy, silky, olive-oil slicked heaven on toasted bread (which they replenish) is almost a meal in itself. Leave room for lamb meatball sliders and one of their homemade pastas. Can be a bit cacaphonous but was pleasantly surprised one Friday night 6:30 pm by how civilized it was.
WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE, DINING ON DE NIRO’S GRANDMA’S DIVINE RAVIOLI, AMONGST MANY OTHER SUPERB ITALIAN TASTES
Amazing dinner. Ricotta appetizer is beyond delicious!
The food was a little over the top for us. Great atmosphere but shouldn’t be smart casual.
Excellent food. Excellent preparation. The finest ingredients. Highly recommended.
