I love this restaurant. I make it a point to stop there every trip to New York

Excellent food and excellent service. Perfect for Sunday brunch makes it difficult to decide what to order from all the great things on the menu. The ricotta and honey dish is superb as are the garlic potato’s. The pastries all looked amazing as well especially the monkey bread but there is not enough room in my stomach for it all!

Still good, even though some dishes have been on the menu for years
This is a happening noisy place, not ideal for intimate conversation
The kitchen would benefit from a new and talented expediter

We met friends here and feasted on the entire menu. We were very non-traditional, in that we ordered all of the apps, 2 pastas, 3 entrees and 4 sides...all for 5 of us to share and all at the same time! All of the food was amazing (favs were the sheep's milk ricotta crostini, pork chop and duck). The staff was very accommodating to our unusual style of dining and really just rolled with us, bringing us all of our food at a nice pace, with no rushing. Wine and cocktails were also yummy. We really enjoyed our experience here and will be back!

We had guests in for the Tribeca Film Festival, so this was indeed convenient. I would not go there again for brunch as the noise was excruciating, and the place was crawling with baby strollers. I’ll reserve judgement for dinner in the future. Our waiter was, however, lovely.

Great ambiance and scene. Food is very good. Service a bit slow especially later in our meal as it took a very long time to refill our glasses of wine and one of us needed a fork, and it took 15 minutes to get it.

I have wanted to eat here for a long time having heard about it from many friends and business associates. So, we finally make the advance plans necessary to get a reservation for a Saturday night. The service was impecable, definitely a cut above even other good comparable restaurants. The vibe was upbeat, lively, but not too noisy and the tables were set far enough apart to allow for conversation and some "space". I am a vegetarian, so I wish there were more choices (entrees) but other than that issue, the meal was superb. I had a beet salad to start and a filled pasta with spring peas. My husband had the ricotta with crostina which was excellent and then the pork chop which he said was soooo good. We shared a pear tart with cinnamon giner gelato for dessert (this was the only dish which I thought was a bit over priced, though it was delicious). Overall a great meal and a place I would definitely return to again.

My dinner started off on the wrong foot - when the hostess tried to seat us at a table in what appeared to be the bar area... as if my friend and I just walked in off the street (and did not make a reservation over a week in advance)! We had to ASK her to be seated in the normal dining area which was still fairly empty. Everything else about the dinner was fine/standard but unexceptional... Maybe it would have been better if the initial hostess/seating experience was better, but that really ruined the dinner for me. (My friend and I were dressed well, and did not look like tourists or anything that might inspire a snooty or misinformed hostess to try to seat us at an undesirable table when there were plenty of better tables available.) Disappointing!

Our server Daniel was attentive but not too attentive so we can have a business conversation. Great service and the food was fantastic. It is a little loud, would not recommend for a first date.

This restaurant is magical, the food is excellent, service impeccable and the room is quite so it’s possible to enjoy conversation as one enjoys fabulous food. It is what an excellent dining establishment should be. Can not wait till I go there again.

food was mediocre and service was poor.

my pasta was barely al dente, with some parts more on the raw and hard side due to the shape. perhaps their only salvation was the ricotta cheese. brussels sprouts were too salty as well.

passed by half a dozen wait staff leaving the restaurant and they just stare at you and don't say goodbye or thank you.

I made a reservation at Locanda Verde because it was consistently reviewed as one of the best upscale Italian restaurants in the city. However, I was upset with our service because it felt rushed and our server never told us or offered to tell us their specials. I ordered the Ragu based on our servers suggestion, and while it was good, it was nothing mind blowing and in my opinion not worth the price. I was most upset to learn that the special pasta was ricotta filled gnocchi which I would have ordered over all else had I known. My date got the pork which was delicious, well cooked, and had a lot of good flavors. The tiramisu dessert was also phenomenal. However, overall, I probably won’t return based on the price tag.

Second time we visited and food experience wasn’t at the same level. Tried the Grandmas Ravioli again and it wasn’t great (came in a bit cold too!)

i realize that locanda verde has been around for awhile, but i expected a little less pretension and a little more hospitality. no one wished my fiancé a happy birthday although it was explicitly on the reservation and i made sure to notify our server about it. we didn’t expect anything, but a simple acknowledgement would have been nice. i felt a little rushed and crowded overall. solid menu, however, but that’s a given.

The service was amazing and recommendations on point. Really enjoyed the blue crab crostini and paccheri pasta. Also, the bread has cheese and onions baked into a top crust that really start the meal off right.

renowned place and love the ambiance, but after a decent pasta (not spectacular), we had 4 underwhelming entrees, in fact the chicken was worse than that, dry and bland. With 2 bottles of wine, we spent $500 for 4 people and all walked away disappointed.

Just so so across the board, from service to drinks to food. Had a terrible table but that’s our fault for not asking to be moved. With so many options in the city, we will not be returning
