Wait staff made it evident they were trying to quickly turn tables. Meal felt rushed when we were trying to avoid inhaling our food.
We waited 45 minutes for our salads to arrive and then the salad was slimy and old and drowning in the dressing. After one bite we informed our server we were done with the salads and he never asked if anything was wrong with them. We then continued to wait at least another 30 minutes for our main courses to arrive and at no point did the server come over to say that the food was on its way. He glanced over a few times but that was about it. A minute after the mains arrived, he came over and asked us if how we were enjoying the food. The food it mediocre at best and I guess they are fine since most customers seem to be tourists so they don’t care about repeat customers. We live around the corner and have given it many chances over the years as we would like to support a neighborhood business but this will have been our last time here. Never will be go to Locanda Verde again.

Excellent service, beautiful venue to spend your Saturday morning and celebrate your birthday. Food was delicious and i would definitely go back for any other occasion.
Delicious as always. Cocktails are good, whipped ricotta is a must!! Chocolate gelato birthday treat was decadent!
Not what it used to be. Food portions are too small, prices too high, service is so so.
The food was terrible. It just tasted bad. It's not cheap. Also, service was so-so. Locanda has really gone down hill. Go somewhere else for brunch.
Sono andato a cena con la famiglia per l’ultimo dell’anno. Il locale era ben addobbato, ma un po’ troppo rumoroso. Abbiamo mangiato bene, il prezzo era un po’ alto, ma è difficile rapportarlo alla cena di Capodanno.
Always a wonderful experience! We've been coming here for years. NYE was special and service was excellent.

Won’t be going back.
They sat us in a crammed table in the back when there were multiple more spacious tables at the front. Service was slow and poor. Entrees took an hour to arrive after they cleared our starter plates. Dishes were cold when they arrived. Disappointing as a local who’s enjoyed this restaurant before.

Breakfast/brunch just felt kinda pricey for the taste and service. Everything was just...average. And underwhelming flavors.
Sitting in the cafe area is not nearly as nice as the main dining area

One of the best meals I've had in a long time, from appetizer to dessert, outstanding. Service was very good as well, attentive, but not overbearing.
A little over priced for value of food. Have had much better Italian food before. Appetizers were amazing though! Would definitely go back for drinks/apps.
Nothing was bad but nothing was really good either...
Food was good, the servers were friendly, but the bar service was not good. I was craning my neck constantly wondering where our drinks were and then where our wine was. Our server was consumed by the computer next to our table, but not so much with what was going on at our table.

They tried putting a table for 4 on a small table for 2. We complained and were moved to a more suitable table. Rest was ok
Basic pasta dishes that cost a fortune. Can’t anyone in Manhattan make rigatoni for less than $30?
We had a delicious and cozy pre-holiday lunch to celebrate our upcoming wedding here. What a great way to kick off our celebrations!
Food was outstanding, but two issues
- servers made us feel very rushed like they were trying to turn over the table ( we were on time for our reservation).
- the actual table size was a joke for three men, it was more suitable as a two top.
Locanda Verde is my favorite Italian restaurant in all of NYC.
It’s a little pricey and crowded, but the food, service and ambience are superb.
I dream about their Lamb Bolognese with Sheep’s Milk Ricotta as well as their brunch-only Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Both dishes are to die for!
We had the steak tartar and the french toast. Both were actually very good. We were seated on time as we had made a reservation, but food took really long to arrive. I asked for a bloody mary at the middle of brunch, and it arrived when we were about to ask for the check. Service was good but not spectacular. Nice crowd of people, great decoration. Would come back.
We were very excited to come to Locanda Verde, as my husband and I have been a few times and found it to be unbelievable! Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. Our waitress hovered over us the entire meal. We ordered the ricotta and got the burrata. The duck was very gamey. The pappardelle was very fresh, but the sauce was mediocre. It was missing some flavor. It was one of those ::womp womp:: dinners, but also frustrating since you spend so much money. Pretty bummed about it.
Wonderful food and atmosphere but, do not be tempted by the waiters suggestion to add "some truffle shavings" it ended up with two added shavings at the cost of 90usd!
The enormous cost was not mentioned by the waiter before or after...
The feeling was that we where taken for a ride, not what we expected.
What could have been a perfect meal ended with a bitter taste.
My favorite place in NYC. Food is always excellent, atmosphere can’t be beat, and the service is exceptional. Highly recommend
Nice vibe and pleasantly designed decor. Tried the hangar steak and the eggplant sandwich and was thoroughly disappointed by both. Not that they were bad, but it wasnt great which is what i would have expected after all the hype that surrounded this place, not to mention the $$$. Certainly won't be returning to this place.

Strange when I arrived there were 0 hostesses at the desk for at least 5 minutes then there were suddenly 4 staffing the hostess desk
I had high hopes for the food here but as is so often the case today with star chefs that are never in the kitchen as most of their time is used for empire building. This always shows up in food prep. There was absolutely no reason to pay $100pp for mediocre ill prepared food by trainees and subs.
I am never going to another star chef restaurant and I am sure I will get the food I am looking for.
Always a fantastic meal with great service. Trust the sommelier, she will pick a better bottle than you can. Every time.
Unfortunate. Great service but the food was cold and lacking flavor.
Awesome! Food was great, service was amazing and wine delicious! Also, white truffle pasta special was exceptional!
