We came on a Tuesday night at 7:15 PM. I was surprised that they were quite empty with only a few tables occupied. Service was excellent. We both had the trail which was very good as many other diners have noted. Slightly salty but not that much. Served in a wonderful broth with escarole and boiled potatoes. Potatoes were just a little too firm. I would’ve given it a few more minutes. That said overall a good experience would recommend a restaurant but as some have noted the menu is very limited and might not appeal to many.

Really liked the cauliflower - just gorgeous. Someone in the kitchen has a heavy hand with salt. The fish on Saturday was overly salty and I love was bad.

I was very disappointed in the dinner I had at Local Provisions with a friend who was visiting from out of town. We got the snapper entree for two and the roasted cauliflower. The snapper and the accompanying turnips and bok choy were incredibly salty to the point of being inedible for me. Cauliflower was basically served on garlic mayonnaise. I will not return.

The food was acceptable, but not really worth the price. The restaurant has very little ambiance and the service - at least as we experienced it - was weak, impersonal and slow. The wine list and availability was also poor. Overall, not worth it.

Very friendly host and the trout was delicious! Our server seemed nervous and was slow to notice when we needed her, even though the restaurant was not busy. We still enjoyed our dining experience overall.

After reading about LP in many different places we were excited to get a reservation for Saturday night, however the service was so poor we did not even make it to the food. We walked in and the hostess station was completely empty and had to wait for 10 minutes until the hostess came to the station with a bottle of wine and two glasses in her hand. With no apology or explanation she just quickly whisked us to a table. Once there our server passed us by twice without acknowledging us and stopped by on the third pass of our table. That process taking another 10-15 minutes before we were brought our drinks. After witnessing the hostess move from busing tables to seating a long line at the door this place clearly is struggling on providing good service. We found another wonderful restaurant that gave us one of the best meals of our lives and will not be back to LP. The hostess at a minimum bought us a drink So they will get some credit for that. Would not recommend the restaurant due to poor service.

Everything was delicious. I felt the portion sizes, specially for the price, were very small..I don't think I've ever had just one half of a trout before, so it was less than 5 oz. it was delicious, was the beet salad.

The cocktails were good. The trout was chirpy and flaky and duck was delicious. Our server Sandy was a gem and was very helpful with food description. Over all good but not imaginative with their preparations.

Service, drinks, and food were all very much so on point. The broccolini was outstanding, the grits on the vegetable plate were some of the best we've had, and the green tomatoes and flank steak closely followed those. Great food from a restaurant sourcing local ingredients and treating them with the proper respect.
