    Over the years we've had one excellent experience, but most have been only fair. At this point I will never go back to the Local Chop House because too many "only fair" experiences are not appropriate for the expense of the restaurant.

    Food, service, ambiance were all very good. We had a steak and the trout. The trout was the best I've had since moving to Virginia three years ago...seemed very fresh, plump with meat and neither undercooked nor overcooked. Appetizers, salads and sides were really well done, also. Dessert was truly yummy! We will be back.

    The food was tremendously good! My bf and I are huge foodies and he is a bit of a food snob haha but he was really impressed, as was I! I definitely recommend Local Chop Grill House for any event really. Our waiter was also so hospitable and friendly. It made me happy when he said that we were the highlight of his night, so I was happy he had a great time serving us also! I wish I remembered his name! The specials and the recommendations he made for us from the wine down to the dessert were all spot on delicious! We will definitely be coming back. I also plan on bringing a few friends here soon :)

    Love the latest menu and the food is great from appetizers to desserts. Love the atmosphere. The wait staff is always wonderful. And knowledgeable about the menu. Truly an experience, everytime.

    We got to our reservation early and hung out at the bar. Bar staff were amazing! Our server was excellent, I have a gluten allergy and he was more than knowledgeable and accommodating! Delicious birthday meal. Would eat here again!

    Paid A LOT of money for a mediocre steak. Thin, lacking in flavor, and chewy. Side and app portions very small. Restuarant was out of bread. Really?

    What a nice gift from my sister in law. However,my meal and my husbands were terrible. I ordered the sirloin, and he ordered the ribeye. my steak was somewhat undercooked. However, the worst part was it was very chewy. It was not tender it wasn’t juicy. I really expected more from an expensive steak. My husband’s ribeye was very thin, undercooked and not very flavorful he said. we cook a lot of steaks at home and we do a fairly good job. These were the worst steaks we have had in a very long time. In addition, my potatoes were cold, and the asparagus were large, woody and tough. it was not the experience I expected it to be considering the cost. I have been to this restaurant before and had a very nice experience. Unfortunately, this was not one. However, our waiter was just really outstanding. Karen

    Really disappointed with the course one/ appetizer list last time we came we had amazing calamari this time the only option that interested us was the pork belly we did not realize at the time it was single serving that was our fault however it was just a 1in by 1in square of pork belly that did not have much flavor even with the sauce that came with it. The rest of the food however was amazing as always and very filling. The desert was absolutely wonderful and the service great as usual.

    It's always a pleasure and treat to have a meal at the Local Chop & Grill House. From the moment you walk in the doors a sense of welcoming is present. The care that is taken to ensure that you worry about nothing other than couple and occasion that has brought you to their restaurant is remarkable and I'd say the staple of any visit, leaving you with the urge to return long after the taste of your drinks and meals have faded. Though other places with this level of culinary experience and ambience may leave you feeling a little unworthy, nothing but a sense of a great friends home will surround you. If you are searching for the perfect night out your search should start and end with The Local Chop & Grill House.

    The server was very polite, they broke down the whole menu and explained every question we had about it with no hesitation. The local steak I got was perfectly cooked, the best steak I’ve ever tasted. Totally worth $47.
