Local 11ten Food & Wine Ratings and Reviews
The "Local" never disappoints. The food is locally sourced and prepared with skill. But don't dive right into the main! Enjoy a handcrafted cocktail on the rooftop during happy hour. Try the amazing Manhattan: I won't tell you the secret, just know that when it comes to your table you'll be very very happy. Or if white liquor is your thing, order the "Lucky."
For appetizers, try the warm olives. Don't miss the Caesar salad and be sure to include the anchovies. This eatery is currently my fav.
Sadly we were disappointed with the food. After reading reviews I expected a good meal. But the food was inconsistent. One chicken was great the other was dry. The veal was tough and a cheap cut. The scallops were good but the puff pastry overwhelmed the duck. Two out of six meals were good. That is a low percentage for a restaurant that had such good reviews and high prices.
We came for New Years Eve Dinner at 830 pm. Got our table at that time. Staff were amazing and our waitress was great. The food was also amazing. The risotto was fabulous and I had the Veal chop. Can't go wrong with any thing you choose. Can't wait to go back.
This restaurant was terrific. The bread was great. My rabbit was great. The smoky pimento cheese was great. Salad with candied hazelnuts was delicious. Butternut squash risotto was really superb, not a vegetarian afterthought. It's not the near the historic district, so it's all about the food.
Had my birthday dinner here and knew I made the right decision from the moment we stepped in the door. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and modern. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful Malbec paired with our chef-inspired entree: grilled rabbit! It was absolutely delicious!
Stuck in traffic to Savannah during the holidays and the restaurant was able to accommodate our last minute request for a late arrival. Great service! From the time we arrived until we finished the last course it's all about great customer experience. My trout was outstanding; the rice was buttery velvet in my mouth. My husband's veal chop was not a perfect cut, but every effort was made to make up for it... including a yummy complimentary dessert to take home. Looking forward to our next trip to Savannah so we can return!
The restaurant has that upscale trendy feel to it. The menu has ecclectic choices and creative combinations of flavors.
The staff is very accommodating in adjusting dishes to dietary restrictions.
The ambiance is lively but not overwhelming, comfortable noise level. The crowd was local and not touristy, which is a plus also.
This was Christmas Eve/Eve with our arriving from NYC daughter.
6:45 reservation in main dining room where there was an overloud group of , maybe 12, millennials which prevented us from hearing ourselves or our waiter. We asked to be moved and the only place they could seat us was next to the bar close to front door which was a little cool temperature wise.
For a while there was a loud patron behind me but he left early in our dinner.
So, location was a disappointment for this special occasion.
Manager comped us a glass of champagne which was nice.
Service and food was very good. Braised scallops, Veal T bone and a sea bass were each well prepared.
Wine list is very good and we found a nice Albarino.
We had a great XMAS eve dinner in 2016 and we will come back in spite of this inconvenience in 2017.
Outstanding options with a menu that showcases local air and produce. Have never been disappointed having dinner here. We come to Savannah every other year and always come back. We had the rabbit stew which was a great seasonal dish as we were there in late December. The wine list was great and fairly priced, wide ranch of wines by the glass too. The main dishes were cog au vin and rack of lamb, both were a delight. Only disappointment was we did not have room for trying a dessert. Service was outstanding too.
We loved this restaurant. The food was amazingly creative. We dined at all the usual places in Savannah and did not find one other restaurant that brought such great joy to the palate. The contemporary decor matched the new American cuisine perfectly. If you are looking for traditional Southern cuisine; do go here. But, if you want an outstanding culinary experience; don't miss this restaurant.
The best meal we had during our 6 nights in Savannah! The smoked marrow bone was to die for. The veal chop was huge and I thought I'd only eat a third but it was so delicious I nearly finished it. The escargot was delicately prepared in a garlic wine sauce rather than being drowned in butter. (Not that I don't love butter) but it let the escargot shine!
I did dine at local11ten tonight but was shown as a no show since I forgot to tell the hostess at check in that I had an Open Table reservation. I apologize for
My oversight. We had drinks on the roof top and then a fine dinner on a two-top next to the vault table area—adjacent to the downstairs bar. The rabbit was great. My guest said the elk was wonderful.
I hope you can change me from a “no show” to “attended” on my reservation. I apologize again for forgetting the proper protocol.
Ambiance is terrific. Service was excellent. Prices were high but what you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber. But, the food was not what one expects for a restaurant of this caliber. The food was bland, underwhelming and not what one expects to get for the prices charged. It’s to bad, the place deserves to have better food since everything else about it is great. I would not go back.
My daughter and I were in Savannah for the wine and food festival. We tried to get into an event and it was sold out and I am so happy it was. We went to dinner instead and from the moment we were greeted until the moment we left everything was wonderful and the staff was helpful and friendly
Never Disappoints. We make a point to go to Local11Ten every time we come to Savannah. The food is always delicious and the service is good. They also have a good cocktail and wine list. The outdoor rooftop bar is a great place to start your dinner as well.
Have eaten at this restaurant several times but tbis must have been an off night. Three out of the four of us were very disappointed. I had the rabbit ballantine which had the consistency of spam. It did not taste like anything in particular and was off-putting. Another diner had elk shank which he found gamey.
My feeling is that this restaurant really wants to push the envelope in being different but would fare better if they served meals that were more "normal" instead of out of the park experimental.
Took several clients out to dinner here, 9 of us total. The restaurant made that work and provided a great atmosphere in which to dine. Our group can be loud so I requested a table as far back as possible, which is great as it was the only big table available to host us. The group all started with different salads, but the most popular was the Poached Pear Salad which was fabulous. For the main course it was Hanger steak, Filet, Scallops, Bass and more. No one ordered dessert as we were so full. The wine selection was outstanding and the service was even better. Recommend you Uber to find this place and get out of the downtown Savannah tourist area. You won't be disappointed.
