The hostess was nice and approachable. We were accommodated with seating quickly . Our server was friendly was was not engaging or checked on us. We spent most of the day looking for her and waving her Down.
This was our first time, not sure if this was how it supposed to be here. After placing our food order the food came out 1 at a time , for example: The waffle came out, then 15 mins later the bacon, then another 15 mins the crab cake. MY husband ordered French toast he only got crab cakes she never came to check on us when the food came. My friend got his waffle then right as the check came his bacon arrived and no apologies for its late arrival just the plate handed to him assuming hey we made it so you pay for it now!? We had sat there for a long time waiting for forks and utensils AFTER our food arrived. SHE NEVER bothered to explained the food list or like most restaurants ask if it was our first time. The non alcoholic drink was never refilled everything was SLOW AND WE WERE AFRAID TO ORDER MORE FOOD BECAUSE it would have taken forever or came out wrong. We tried to get help from the food runners and they were rude and replied “we can’t do anything kitchen is behind” OVERALL, NICE FUN ATMOSPHERE. Service was terrible & SLOW. We didn’t feel welcomed. THE DJ AND ATMOSPHERE SAVED this review.
This was the worst dinning experience I ever had here. my ribs had so much vinegar I could not eat them, the other tapas were poorly cooked and I think they were cooked long before we sat at the table and were not hot when we got them, the paella was notgood either, the tres leches cake tasted like it had been sitting in a dirty refrigerator for a month. Our waitress was missing in action for must of the evening and felt like he rather be somewhere else but he needs a job so he shows up to work just because...
Great food & great service by waiter Mario! Recommend coming later if you want to hear the band. Overall excellent experience.
Overall great experience. Will recommend to everybody wanting a good Saturday night spot with music.
This place never fails...
If I just absolutely had to complain about something, it would be that the drinks are $10 for 8 oz... the margaritas at La Parilla are AMAZING and 20 oz for same price.
But nothing tops the food, music and service!
I have been going Loca Luna for many years and have always enjoyed the music, live and DJ, atmosphere, service ,food , drinks and especially my server Ron( he's the BEST!). I always take my out of town family and friends and I have introduced it to many of my local friends. Everyone always loves it. I must admit that this visit for my daughters 30th. I noticed the tapas have gotten a bit pricey and with tiny not small portions. I will definitely like to keep Loca Luna as one of my favorites however I will patronize when I feel I'm getting more for my $...1/2 price tapas Wed.....
Thank you so much for letting us celebrate my birthday Here! I’ve been here a couple of times in the past but never ordered food and now I know if I want something appetizing before getting drinks, this is the spot where I can do it all. Eat drink and dance!
Terrible , very small portion , menu not traditional Mexican (not even nachos) .
We celebrated my aunts 83rd bday and she LOVED it. She said the food was great, the band was awesome and the dancing was the icing on her cake.
This was a nice place to come with friends. Small tapas plates, cool live latin music, and nice ambiance. Our waiter kind of needed a fire lit under him, but once he got going, he was pretty good. Mojitos were on sale for $5. We tried the strawberry, mango, and passion fruit. The passion fruit, a flavor I usually do NOT care for, was DIVINE!! Small plates tasted were as follows: Garlic hummus - tasty! The marinated olives were delish. Found out that you can get these as a side for a charge. Malbec braised short rib - sooo good. Tender and flavorful. It is a small plate so be prepared for a small portion. A nice surprise to this dish was the fried yucca root. Scallops Y Pork Belly - this was one thumb up and one down. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had a good flavor. The pork belly was disappointing as it was not crispy, actually kind of mushy. I may order again and ask them to be sure to crisp up the pork belly. Empanada de Pollo - meh. It was just "ok". The pastry shell was kind of gummy; could have been more crisp. The filling was pretty good. Gambas Al Ajillo - this shrimp dish was VERY spicy! Described on the menu as sauteed shrimp, fresh garlic butter & grilled bread. It did NOT mention the ABUNDANCE of red pepper flakes. Not my preference. Calamares Fritos - do NOT miss this dish. It was absolutely divine! Loved the pico de gallo under the calamari and the spanish paprika gave it a nice flavor without making it spicy.
Great food. Wonderful service. Very popular on a Saturday night. Nice crowd.
Prompt service and delicious tapas, especially considering how busy they are on the weekends!
First time. Very good food and excellent service.
Overall it was great, the food is a bit over priced for the portions, but its a fun evening for a girls night. The dance floor should definitely be bigger.
Go early to avoid the crowds and find parking. The live music is great! The closed in terrace can be a bit chilly...
It was very nice , one thing tho is the serving is really small so we had to order like twice 😂
The atmosphere was lively and not too loud so that you couldn't hear the person next to you. The food overall was okay, not bad or fantastic, nothing wowed us. Out of six different tapas two very very good, the mussels and octopus. The other four were satisfactory, with the macaroni & cheese being the blandest I've had in a long time.
Our pitcher and glasses of sangria were filled with ice, which was pleasant once the ice was removed from our glasses and prior to said ice watering down the pitcher. The staff was very good, our waitress was fantastic and we appreciated her attentiveness.
The food was great but the service was superb!!! Tania was amazing and we will be back!!
Menu is scaled back at night to open up for the night life. Trying to overcome that balance is a challenge here. Loud music while trying to enjoy dinner.
Love the environment, music & food We had a blast. Our sever was very friendly.
Such a fun dinner !! The dancing and the music was amazing!!! What a great night
Great atmosphere, service, food, music, and hookah! Great experience and look to make it a regular thing.
Amazing place. I would definitely recommend someone to come. But I'm definitely coming back.
I am a former Atlanta resident and Loca Luna used to be one of my favorite places. So on a recent visit I decided to go for a Monday night happy hour. The fact that all of the appetizers were advertised as half price during that time made it an even better choice.
When I arrived, the parking lot was nearly empty and the environment inside felt like they hadn't actually opened for the day. When I was seated the greeter told me again about Happy Hour, but then proceeded to go through the menu and point out several appetizers (the best ones) that would not be honored at half price. When she sat me, the table was so extremely shaky that my water glass barely stayed up right. They did move me immediately when I asked and even removed the table from the dining room all together.
I ordered several items, but was only really please by the Shrimp appetizer.
There was an odd seasoning in the guacamole that made it taste strange. The salsa and queso were standard. The braised shortrib and chipotle potatoes were an odd combination and the potatoes had a bitterness at the end from the peppers that had been added. The queso frito which I've had at other places and it is usually a delicious cheesy bite of cheese that melts beautifully and pairs weel with the pepper jelly. However, the version I got at Loca Luna was a very strong goat cheese and the pepper jelly did not come close to balancing out the unctuousness of the cheese. BUT the sangria was GREAT!!
I didn't see much of my server, though she was polite when I saw her.
This definitely did not live up to my memories. So, I probably won't be headed back anytime soon.
Brunch menu left much to be desired. Nice to have a DJ, but the music was so loud, my friend and I could barely hear each other.
The service definitely left something to be desired. We watched as tables that came in and ordered after us received their food long before we did. We wanted over 20 minutes to get our check and that was after we asked a couple of times.
It's a nice place. The live band and dance floor can make for a really fun night. The plates tasted good and we're delivered really quick.
Loved every second
Lovely staff and good food - especially the Queso Frito (goat cheese)! I loved the live music.
Enjoyed this restaurant tremendously. Great food and service . Will go back often
Always have a great time with the live music and dancing. The service for my large party was outstanding. One of tge city’s best kept secrets.
Love this place great food, drinks and music!
Had a great time! The food was so good! Please try the lamb chops and chicken skewers.... it was yummy to my tummy!
5 in our party. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. We did wish we had stayed for the music which was just getting started when we left. Will plan on it next time.
I hosted my birthday party. Justin, was great. The food, energy and service was outstanding. I look forward to the next opportunity. The menu selections were very appetizing to all dietary needs. I can't wait until the next time.
My friend and I often come to Loca Luna on Fridays after work and we are always greeted with a warm welcome. Johnny goes out of his way to be friendly and accommodating. Our server is usually David and he is phenomenal. He balances being attentive with giving us time and space to enjoy our drinks and meal. We have also had Ronnie as a server and he is great as well. I can't say enough nice things about the service and the food. The drinks are excellent too!
Loved the atmosphere, drinks and hookah were in point, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend for a night out or a celebration!
Our food was great, Sangria - white better than red. Serve was attentive and very good. All in all a really fun night. Music was awesome.
The empanadas are to die for!!! Great music on the weekends and extremely quick service!
