Amazing place. I would definitely recommend someone to come. But I'm definitely coming back.
I am a former Atlanta resident and Loca Luna used to be one of my favorite places. So on a recent visit I decided to go for a Monday night happy hour. The fact that all of the appetizers were advertised as half price during that time made it an even better choice.
When I arrived, the parking lot was nearly empty and the environment inside felt like they hadn't actually opened for the day. When I was seated the greeter told me again about Happy Hour, but then proceeded to go through the menu and point out several appetizers (the best ones) that would not be honored at half price. When she sat me, the table was so extremely shaky that my water glass barely stayed up right. They did move me immediately when I asked and even removed the table from the dining room all together.
I ordered several items, but was only really please by the Shrimp appetizer.
There was an odd seasoning in the guacamole that made it taste strange. The salsa and queso were standard. The braised shortrib and chipotle potatoes were an odd combination and the potatoes had a bitterness at the end from the peppers that had been added. The queso frito which I've had at other places and it is usually a delicious cheesy bite of cheese that melts beautifully and pairs weel with the pepper jelly. However, the version I got at Loca Luna was a very strong goat cheese and the pepper jelly did not come close to balancing out the unctuousness of the cheese. BUT the sangria was GREAT!!
I didn't see much of my server, though she was polite when I saw her.
This definitely did not live up to my memories. So, I probably won't be headed back anytime soon.
The service definitely left something to be desired. We watched as tables that came in and ordered after us received their food long before we did. We wanted over 20 minutes to get our check and that was after we asked a couple of times.
It's a nice place. The live band and dance floor can make for a really fun night. The plates tasted good and we're delivered really quick.
Loved every second
Lovely staff and good food - especially the Queso Frito (goat cheese)! I loved the live music.
Enjoyed this restaurant tremendously. Great food and service . Will go back often
Always have a great time with the live music and dancing. The service for my large party was outstanding. One of tge city’s best kept secrets.
Love this place great food, drinks and music!
Had a great time! The food was so good! Please try the lamb chops and chicken skewers.... it was yummy to my tummy!
5 in our party. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. We did wish we had stayed for the music which was just getting started when we left. Will plan on it next time.
I hosted my birthday party. Justin, was great. The food, energy and service was outstanding. I look forward to the next opportunity. The menu selections were very appetizing to all dietary needs. I can't wait until the next time.
My friend and I often come to Loca Luna on Fridays after work and we are always greeted with a warm welcome. Johnny goes out of his way to be friendly and accommodating. Our server is usually David and he is phenomenal. He balances being attentive with giving us time and space to enjoy our drinks and meal. We have also had Ronnie as a server and he is great as well. I can't say enough nice things about the service and the food. The drinks are excellent too!
Loved the atmosphere, drinks and hookah were in point, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend for a night out or a celebration!
Our food was great, Sangria - white better than red. Serve was attentive and very good. All in all a really fun night. Music was awesome.
The empanadas are to die for!!! Great music on the weekends and extremely quick service!
The food options were really good, the Tres Leches dessert was outstanding!
This restaurant has a fun atmosphere and is great for group dinners and special events. They have a live band on the weekends. Food was quick to come out and server was attentive.
Nice place to go to for drinks the food wasn't all that great. But the atmosphere was great and the service was good. The live bad and dancing is a great feature gives you a authenticity feel.
Really fun vibe and great music on Saturday night. Good crowd and lots of fun people dancing. Yummy minutos and food!
Great Sunday brunch! Recommend the shrimp and grits. Smaller
Portions on some items.
Great! We will be back!
love it awesome food and lovely band and workers very friendly will go back again had fun very cozy and clean.
We have always liked Loca Luna. However, they have changed their menu and some of the items we typically went there for are no longer offered. Bummer!
Really bad wine, and average food. Poor value for our dollar although we love tapas style dining. We tried a variety of food and none of them were mentionable. The wine was worse. Did not bother to stay for the music. Service was the only positive thing at Loca Luna.
I have not been to Loca Luna in several years. The house band/music was great as usual but the food was not very good. The only item we had that was worth having again was the grilled salmon. We had two vegetarian dishes that tasted like cheap frozen items, particularly the ravioli which was rubbery. The chicken chunks on skewers was the toughest chicken dish I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Also, turn off the disco lights shining in the dining room on the customers during dinner, as they are unpleasant and could cause a seizure (I'm sure the late night partiers love disco lights in their face - just not during dinner).
I love this place
Both of us had dirty silverware. The food was just ok, dessert was dry, wine just ok. Service was good, but it was early so not a good test of that one.
I had a large birthday party and like with anything some people were late and others were a no-show. Overall, it was a party of about 14 total. The food was awesome and the brussel sprouts were the highlight of the table. Along with empanadas!! Who would of thought it the pear flat bread was popular as well. The drinks especially the Carpiniha(sp) was drank by almost all.
Cons: The Paella keeps getting smaller with each visit. We got an extra empanada we didn’t request.
Pros: Live band is great but DJ was better because of the mix of merengue, Salsa, and bachata. Ambiance and energy level was fantastic.
Good food and even better music, fun fun fun!!
Delicious food and helpful staff. Every item was well prepared and never over cooked. Even the salad was properly flavored.
Super fun place, great atmosphere and delicious food, I strongly recommend the Tuna Ceviche and Arroz Pescador, Oliver our servers was great too.
Haven't been in a looong time! Glad I came back, fun. Dancing and dining. Just come between 9:30 and 11:30, after that gets too crowded.
It felt like the AC was off and the service was extremely slow on the night we went.
Great live band on a Friday night, and the Mojitos were awesome but this place needs air-conditioning on the dance floor in the summer! We were melting.
Excellent food and service at great prices. Half price on most tapas 5 to 7 Tuesday through Friday. I would highly recommend it.
Great food, great music, upbeat atmosphere. Will be back!
Great vibe and musical entertainment. The food was a big plus, with average cocktails. Very friendly staff.
Loved it , the live band, energy, and food was delicious.
