Despite several phone calls and emails requesting special pre-arrangements, literally NOTHING that I asked had been done or considered. The staff knew nothing and management wasn't present on the property upon opening. Service was kind but at a glacial pace. Food was good but again, took forever even though the place was deserted. Portions are half of what they used to be. No offer to adjust my bill accordingly (for a large party)--had to ask them to do something to compensate me. Poor management. If they continue on this track, they will be out of business in a year. It's really too bad--it has tremendous potential.
Very disappointing. No valet parking and no convenient parking. Restaurant was relatively empty but we still waited to even be acknowledged by wait staff. Our waiter was nice, but it was his first night on the job and he had not been adequately trained. As an example, when we asked for Sangria, he was unsure whether they served it. The food was bland and overall poorly prepared. I wanted to like this restaurant as much as the one was in the space previously, but unfortunately did not.
We tried Luna Loca as the previous restaurant in this location had been quite good. We were disappointed. The food took a long time to arrive and then 2 of 3 of us received the wrong meal. The food was lukewarm at best. Maybe it was because we went earlier in the evening and the kitchen had just not really warmed up yet but there was only a few tables and they seemed overwhelmed.
While a certain level of music is nice, the music upon arrival from the live band was so loud as to drown out the conversation from my wife and I, it was not really energetic noise, just a band playing loudly, the guests were subdued probably beaten into submission by the noise.
The food was fair but it took a long time to get and by the time it had arrived it was cold. I was disappointed. The price was typical for Tex-Mex, and while some of the food was a bit different, the slowness of service and the cold food made for a less than enjoyable evening.
Upon arriving on a Saturday evening at 7:30 we were expecting a normal dinner crown, but there were very few diners. We expected not to like it if they couldn't draw a crowd on a Saturday night. However we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. I had the Pork Chop Al Pibil and my wife had the pollo tropotio. Our appetizer was the Lanchas de Camaron. It was all exceptionally good. The tequila cocktails were also exceptional. What really made the evening special overall were the two gentleman playing the guitar and singing going table to table. The music was a variety and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to them. The server said it wasn't normally that slow on Saturday. Maybe the recent heavy rain kept people away. We will be back and we'll bring friends.
This was a return trip for my wife and me. The margarita was great as usual and we love the tableside guacamole preparation. We both ordered meals that came covered in a white cheese sauce- the sauce on this night was much spicier than usual; very spicy. Overall, it was nice night out and we enjoyed sitting outside on the large patio area.
The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. They had a $15 wine special we couldn't pass up on. I had the burrito and it was massive. My wife got the fajitas and the steak was amazing! Come hungry! The table side guac was great as well. Service was a little slow to start, but the wait staff was very friendly.
went for Sunday brunch. not busy, asked 3 times to lower the music, never got lowered, could not hear each other. Food was great, service horrible. Had to ask for everything, everybody disappears. The service just ruins this place as the food is good. LOWER THE BACKGROUND MUSIC
Service was terrible at best. Waitress was not experienced; took 20 minutes to order drinks, entres were delivered sporadically, she cleared a plate while someone was still eating. Although the manager apologized it didn't change the outcome. We were all disappointed and I was very embarrassed for having made the recommendation. So much so I paid the tab to make it a little less painful to the other two couples. They won't be in business long.
