Lobster Bar Sea Grille - Fort Lauderdale Ratings and Reviews
The Lobster Bar Sea Grille is what a fine restaurant should be: beautiful ambiance, professional staff, and amazing food. Everything we had was great, but the “Signature” Nova Scotia Lobster Tail was especially tasty, tender and juicy. If you are looking for a really special dining experience, this is the place.
Visited Lobster Bar for the first time on Valentines Day. First of all, I never leave reviews which should tell you the how bad the impression had to be for me to write this. The food was very disappointing.
The icing on the cake was when I accidentally left me card in the bill. I realized it as soon as we walked out of the door. We go back in and notify the hostess. She goes to find the young lady who took care of our table. When she returns she walks right past us without saying a word. We go to her and ask if she found it as was told they're too busy to find it right now. Having just walked out of the door we knew it couldn't have gone far so we find the nearest manager ourselves and guess what, we find my card.
Overall the experience was pretty good. Lobster app says lightly fried but it is actually just straight up fried and is not as good as it sounds but is good. Steak was pretty good. Lacking some flavor. The old fashioned was ok. The sea bass dinner was very good and the portion size was solid. The table service was good but not great. We had creamed corn and steak to take home and when we got home we realized they threw out or steak even though they asked us if we wanted to keep it. Overall it is good but for the price I will look around for a different place at that price level. Decor is cool and the place is loud with talking which is either good or bad depending on what you are there for
We will never ever go back to this restaurant. It’s extremely expensive and the food was terrible. Shrimp cocktail and lobster bites were delicious. When my husband‘s steak came, ordered medium, it was blood red and cold on the inside. So that had to be sent back. My lobster which was the early menu and I ordered the stuffed lobster, tasted like ammonia. That means only one thing – Old. My dinner came with a choice of dessert. I told our server early on I wanted the warm chocolate cake. Out came a hockey puck and it was cold. The manager was very kind and said he would take it back and get us another one. The second one was warm with warm syrup on top. That was delicious. The cost of my dinner was $49. But our bill was $174. Outrageous! The restaurant is also extremely noisy as it gets busier. I has been and I don’t understand why people go there. This was our Valentines day dinner celebrated a day early. We walked out of the restaurant feeling so dissatisfied. And off to the tune of $174.
Very loud and expensive, but very pretty room with white and black tiled ceilings. Also the prices have not been updated on Open Table and are significantly higher than posted. Ie, crab cake appetizer is $22, not $17. I also found the waitress' recurrent "Is everything delicious?" quite annoying. Umm, no, it's fine, but not drop dead delicious.
Everything was amazing! Went in for my mothers birthday and everything was perfect. From the hostess to the bar tender to our server Nicholas we were treated with care every step of the way. Literally brought tears to my mothers eyes to be treated so well. On top of the brillant service, the food was cooked to perfection. Almost always have something go wrong when I go out but that night, was perfect. Thank you for a perfect evening
The best meal we had in Fort Lauderdale!Beautiful ambiance, great food, and professional service!Milan and Jerome took great care of us!The crab cake was the best we have ever had,the scallops and sea bass superb, and the pavlova a great signature dessert! The wine selection by the glass was excellent and the pour of wine was very generous!
We were seated near the bar and it was noisy, thus obnoxious. Reserve the dining room. The wait staff was professional. We found a good wine for $55. Caesar salad was exceptional. Fresh oysters were delicious, but my husband had an allergic reaction; so, I think the oysters were either farmed or loaded w a preservative . Beware. The dinner rolls are ok. We shared a whole dorado and it was outstanding, grilled simply w olive oil and lemon. The waiter deboned the fish table side. The mashed potato side was delicious. The coffee was NOT hot. The sambucca in a snifter was the tiniest serving we have ever received. The valet parking is $7. The food is expensive, but very good.
Lobster Bar is great for a special occasion or if your in the mood to get dressed up to enjoy a delicious dinner. Our west coast oysters were plump and fresh and the 1.5 pound steamed Maine lobsters were divine. The service is always impeccable and the ambiance is lovely.
Just when I think I’ve had the best steak and thus place has seriously surpassed anything I’ve had before and I didn’t even order the steak. Orders off the fresh Fisk menu and my wife ordered the signature steak and deep fried lobster tail. Truly an amazing experience, excellent service and way incredible food. Our best meal experience hands down
This is a special restaurant downtown Florida on Las Olas. The restaurant itself is beautiful with high arched ceilings. The service is impeccable. The food is very good. I had an appetizer with scallops over potatoes - one of the best servings of scallops I've ever had! For my entree I had tuna which was fair, but not great. The King Crab my husband had was also good, but not great. His serving of escargot was delicious. Our sister had lamb which was good, but steak tartare that was only fair. I have been here before and the food was better, so I would recommend it to a friend but that would change if the food remained the same next time.
Service was poor. Little to no attention from server & assistant. Had to ask for water. Never was offered fresh ground pepper on salad.
Never cleaned up dirty dishes or wiped table off between courses. Appetizers & salad came out together & placed on table with giving us a chance to tell them to hold on to the salads. Never could get the server back to talk to us.
No one came over & asked how the food was & then the entree appeared. We sent the entree back after calling the waitress over (whom we barely saw all night) & she sent it back assuring us we would get new entrees. However, my cold king crab select legs were brought back 20 minutes later on a very hot platter & the lemon half had melted when squeezed on the crab.
No one cared if we were there or not. She was awful. Poor manners “yea” “sure”. Disrespectful & her uniform was dirty (white vest splattered in old oil stains).
Disgusting evening that cost us $300. Manager never came to our table to apologize for the entree debacle. Never going back nor will I recommend. We have dined at the Atlanta Restaurant for years & have never had a bad experience. Buckhead Restaurant Group should look into this mess.
I eat here pretty often but this last time we had to take back our steaks to be re cooked. We asked for well done and it was very pink. Then the waiter got a slight attitude because of it. Luckily the manager was there to help. Overall wasn’t as happy as I usually am dining here
We loved it here. Heard great things about food and ambience and it lived up to the hype! just a little noisy which would make it hard for a quiet dinner but otherwise it was vibrant and alive! Food was great and three course prix fixe was reasonably priced and efficiently delivered as we had a broward center concert shortly after dinner!
