I had been to Lobster Bar Sea Grille once before for an event in a private room. It was beautiful, and I decided to bring my wife there for our 3rd anniversary.
We were both very impressed! When I checked in, I was asked if this was a special occasion. I told them it was for our anniversary, and when we sat down and our waiter appeared, he said congratulations on our anniversary. That was a great start!
By far, the best part of the experience was our waiter, Robert. He was extremely personable, figured out the type of food we were interested in, with a backstory for each menu item, and, best of all, he was a wine connoisseur! We had a shared surf and turf, and he had suggest a red wine. We weren’t too sure if it was going to work, but it was the perfect blend and complimented both the steak and fish!
The ambiance is classy and intimate, but still loud enough so that you feel private. The decor is beautiful and some of the fish is even caught locally, as close as Pompano!
I had such a great experience that I will definitely return to this restaurant. It is a little pricey, but it’s well worth it!
Food was good, not great. Ordered two different glasses of wine and both seemed as if the bottle had been open for days, one almost seemed rancid.
amazing experience....hostess, wait staff everyone was sooo professional and knowledgeable. An incredible experience cannot wait to go again. Food was exquisite.
Our server was very knowledgeable & the food was excellent and did not feel rushed
I love the experience! My husband and I went for our 16th year anniversary and we glad we did!
Tbe best lobster in town and great service! Ambiance, food and service were great!
The service was good but not excellent, we were not impressed with the food, a little pricey for what they offer, other restaurants of the same group such as City Fish Market in Boca Raton are much better , offering great food and superior service for the same price
Dinner was excellent. Service and food, both awesome.
the prefixed lunch menu is a good value. The food is okay. I did like the sorbets a lot.
Took 45 mins to get a raw shrimp appetizer. Waiter was not very sharp and didn’t Comp anything. Manager was very friendly at end and promised to make it up to us. We will be back but visit was out of character.
Excellent food and service
They always honor our request for a booth and server that we especially like
Always enjoy a meal at the Lobster Bar. Good food and service in a busy atmosphere makes for a lovely dining experience
Great food and drinks . Waitress Natasha was awesome!
The lobster tail was delicious however the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad were a little salty. We also had the grilled octopus and escargot appetizers both of which were delicious. The waitress messed up the bill which was annoying.
1st time in Fort Lauderdale on vacation
Honestly, amazing place!!! Great wines and the service is impeccable!!!
We came in to celebrate my girlfriend’s 24th birthday as well as our 2 year anniversary. I originally had a reservation for 3 people, called to change it to 4. The hostess who handled my phone call was polite but when we arrived at the restaurant, they seemed completely disinterested and slightly unprofessional. Our server, Fred greeted us with a dirty water bottle, I requested a bottle of sparkle water and flat water for the table and never received it. I let it go, we never really know what could be going on at his other tables or if he is incredibly busy. The entire pace of our dining experience was so long and drawn out but not through no fault of our own. We were ready to order our appetizers fairly quickly but Fred delayed a lot in taking our orders. We ordered a second round of drinks from the bar once we placed our dinner orders, which once again, took forever because Fred was no where to be found. The food was overall fabulous, my filet was ordered medium and it came out closer to well(things happen and the filet was so tender that it didn’t matter). Fred was nowhere to be found, he never did a table check to see how our food came out, had he have, I would have ordered another filet. My biggest issue with my experience and quite frankly it really put a damper on my evening was how the birthday was handled. When I called that afternoon and asked if I could request a candle to be discretely placed on any of our desserts, we wanted it to be a surprise for Katy. That was not the case! Fred came over and says, “you have a birthday here, please select a dessert and I’ll put a candle in it.” I was annoyed at this point, so instead of ordering 3 desserts we only ordered 1. We also ordered 2 double espressos and never received them. We let it go. Once our bill came around, we were charged for an extra glass of wine and then when asked to correct it the espressos that we never received were added to the bill and my card was run before I could look at the bill again.
I love this place. It's very near my home. The food is excellent and the staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The only problem is it is too loud. Even in a booth at the rear of the restaurant my husband and I have to lean in to talk to each other. It's distracting. But again, the food and service are hard to beat.
We went for lunch and ordered from the prix fixe menu which is a great value for money. As appetizers we ordered the octopus and the calamari and both were great, especially the octopus. As main course both my husband and I ordered the sea bass which was cooked to perfection. The portion was quite big so I couldn’t finish it all.
For dessert we ordered the profiteroles and the sorbets by the profiteroles take the cake. They’re delicious and the portion again is huge.
This lunch special is great - delicious and great value.
The space is spectacular! Beautifully decorated. Service top notch and so was the food!
Chip & Jonathan treated us like old friends. The food and service were beyond words! This will definitely be a "return to" on our list of FTL favs!
Their lunch menus is an excellent value. Thees course lunch special is a must try for the value of $25 per person. Great quality food and service.
Good food and service
I had a wonderful dinner last night. My server Bridgett was well educated on the menu and recommended the sea bass and lobster pasta which were delicious.
Experience was disappointing- and I really mean I was disappointed. I was really looking forward to it.
We had not been here before so we were excited to try a new restaurant on las Olas.
Inside is really nice - liked the decor a lot. A little pretentious but I liked it. Service for 3/4 of the meal was good- actually too good- too fast bringing and taking away, but slowed down a lot as it became busier.
Biggest complaint and disappointment was the food.
My wife had the bone in filet mignon cooked medium. Was done in medium well and really since the other two of us had our food as well, she didn’t want to send it back and wait.
My daughter and I had the steak and lobster for two. At $150 it’s not cheap and you just have a level of expectation that unfortunately fell short.
The wagu beef was cooked fine but just not that good- I’ve had much better steaks at 401 across the street or Louie Bossis down the street.
The lobster was a bit mushy. All in all, a so- so experience.
I would not try it again. Too many great places on las Olas.
Only thing I would suggest is changing the music. If this establishment considered how music can affect the vibes of the entire restaurant they would probably amp their quality level up to something close to SoBe.
Too noisy and a bit overpriced.
Porterhouse steak was disappointing. Too charred on the outside and slightly overcooked.
Great seafood. Very loud, however. Packed bar. But one of the places to go if you're looking for a high-end restaurant with great food.
Great food and service.
The lobster pasta dish is not worth it anymore they have to take it off the menu or they have to improve that dish as it was before
We love the LB&SG and often dine at the bar, however this occasion was our 30th Wedding anniversary and we eat in the restaurant. Food is always excellent as is the service. However it's not cheap. Over $500 with the tip, for four of us.
The lobster morsel were fantastic. Also had the grilled octopus salad as an appetizer which also was excellent.
I had the lamb chops that were very good. My wife had the Halibut and she loved it. Another fantastic dinner at the Lobster Bar.
Exeptional menu and performance
Unique menu in every direction, entrees, desserts and wine, I'm very happy i picked this restaurant.
Our waiter, Robert, What a professionalism.
We had an anniversary and all the staff made us feel like they care.
Very reasonable as well.
Always superb in every respect. I'm a foodie and this is one of my favorites.
Our waiter, Robert was absolutely amazing! His suggestions were perfect. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was just right for a beautiful night.
We came for our 2 year Anniversary. We received prompt and attentive service from our waiter Fred he was never to far away if we needed something. The food was FANTASTIC! Steak was lobster were both cook perfectly! Great place! We will definitely be back!!
The food was wonderful. It was very loud and difficult to carry on a conversation Our waitress gave us a great deal of attention for the first 20 minutes until other tables filled up. I expect the other guests were more influential than we were. That was very disappointing
The food at the lobster bar is always fabulous, especially the whole fish meals.
told the friendly staff that we had a show to attend after dinner and they were great and very attentive. alittle pricey but worth it and was getting very busy as were were leaving. will return soon!
