Lobster Bar Sea Grille - Fort Lauderdale

Absolutely amazing. My 5th business luncheon at their Fort Lauderdale location and the waiter Thomas was outstanding.
Good food but the service was sub-par.
It was our first time at this restaurant. The restaurant building was great! Nice entrance and decorated beautifully. Love the Art Deco lamps at the bar. Absolutely beautiful. Upon arrival we were nicely welcomed and timely seated at our table.
Waiter was nice and polite. He asked if we were going to the theater. I was please about this question because we had a show at 8:00pm and I thought it was thoughtful of him to pace our dinner accordingly.
We ordered a nice bottle of Rose wine and the shrimp appetizer. It was delicious. Then my husband had ordered the stuffed Lobster while I ordered the broiled and cracked 1 1/2 fresh Lobster. When our orders arrived they brought 2 stuff Lobsters. (No broiled Lobster). I sent it back. 7 minutes later they brought my correct order.
Then for dessert we ordered profiteroles and expresso and one American coffee. It took a bit long to arrive but the profiteroles ice cream was all melted and we were disappointed. We sent it back and a few minutes later they brought us a much better looking profiteroles.
Overall it was a good dinner experience.
Service could have been better for this caliber of restaurant.
Unfortunately, there was a fruit fly problem, which staff acknowledges. That aside LBSG is a go to place for us. Flies aside is good on all counts. Elegant.
Excellent food service and ambiance
Don, the manager stopped by our table, he was fantastic. Robert our waiter was amazing. The wines he chose for us were near perfect.
Great except that sides arrived much later than the entree...
Great night with business associates. Very happy since I was nervous to return.
Had bad experience 2 years ago and had not returned.
Requested special table for anniversary away from kitchen. We arrived and Sat in booth next to (almost inside) kitchen. With subway tile theme and being from Chicago it really did feel like we were dining in a subway. All the congestion and the fact that your booths don’t have central dividers was uncomfortable. I’m a designer. Booths require a divider so you don’t move when the couple behind you moves. I spend the night pulling pieces of the woman’s long blonde hair off my sweater since she had a big head and our hair kept touching. We left early to have coffee and dessert elsewhere. Truly an irritating experience on a really special occasion. Reviewed restaurant at that time but never received a reply.
Guessing that designer of restaurant deleted this primary structural element to create additional space against wall. Center dividers take up 3-4” of linear space. Multiply by width of room, keep the distance of the table to back of seat tight and you buy revenue x 4 with extra seating. Basic design but terrible idea for high end restaurant.
Anyway, lesson learned. Lobster Bar is great. Just don’t sit in a booth.
Entertain the wealthiest clients in the country so a bad dining experience reflects badly on me. This client wanted seafood and good wine. His new home is 5 minutes away so I decided to try again. I never had an issue with the food.
Only observation from table was that sides were too small for 4 men and as global executives we joked about truffle oil. Now that it’s served on fries at Burger Fi and a common household condiment it doesn’t seem special. We thought something more interesting could be served with tots because they are amazing.
Had no budget so pleased with wine. Service was perfect and waited for nothing.
I’ll return with clients. Just need to always sit at table.
Had to order cocktails from the bar and take to the patio as there was no cocktail waitress working. Service was sketchy and not as attentive as normal. Food was OK
Nice restaurant, service and food was great! We went there for our anniversary and had a great time
Good Branzino (as always). Usually the service is a bit sharper but still not bad. The place is great!
Last night in Florida Frankie and I went to the lobster box
Chris and perry were exceptional in service
We had a steak and the lobster special
Dinner was excellent
Appetizers were lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail
Great and very nice place
Love the king Louie bottle as you walk by to get to your table
Always love the food and the service!
We had an amazing anniversary meal including champagne and caviar, a whole lobster and the branzino to share with a few sides. They brought us the wrong caviar, but immediately brought us the correct Beluga. The lobster came fried and was too salty so they immediately offered to make us another simply grilled with the clarified butter, TO DIE FOR! The service was impecable and the food was great. They even brought us a " Happy Anniversary" decorated plate with 2 delicious deserts. Great interiors and ambiance, perfect for the occasion. Highly recommend this place!
Our second visit for lunch to this beautiful place. Everything about it was outstanding.
Fried lobster tall is insane
Always a great experience
Great Price Fix Menu for 25.00 for Lunch which has great selections and nice size portions
Our food and service was excellent! The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary dinner a great experience! Thanks so much!
Robert was our waiter and the experience was amazing. He was very well-versed and knew the menu top to bottom. He made a great dining experience even better. Thank you to Robert and the entire staff at Lobster Bar Sea Grille for making it a great evening!
The restaurant was amazing from the customer service to the food. We ordered from the twilight menu, it’s a special that they have Sunday through Thursday, it was small portions but it feels you up. I recommend the surf and turf, it’s sooooo good. Our servers Aribel and Louis were immaculate with their service. If your looking for a place to eat that’s a little private with good food and drinks, Lobster Bar is the place. I will definitely be going back next weekend for Happy hour.
We were extremely disappointed with our dining experience. The wait staff was very nice but our food took an unusually long time to be served. Also, lamb chops were served ice cold and the “4 pound lobster” was not even close to 4 lbs Lastly, we ordered a dessert without peanuts and advised the waiter that one of our guests had a severe allergy. The dessert was brought out WITH peanuts (disguised under chocolate sauce). It could have been a disaster if we didn’t notice the nuts before eating the sundae. Our meal took over 3 hours because of the slow service and comedy of errors. The manager took one of the 2 lobsters off the bill and did not charge us for dessert or coffee. We will not be returning to the restaurant.
Love, love, love this place. Food was exceptional. Service was some of the best I have received in a long time. Here's the kicker....You get what you pay for. Better prepare to get off your wallet to indulge in this tasty gem. Flash-fried lobster?!?!? Who knew? It's off the chain. Oh, and don't use the beautiful hand drawn butter with this. The mustard sauce (yes, I know, what????) is the way to go. Crazy good. Wine bottles range from moderate, to reasonable to "oh, you're a Nigerian Prince." So, something for everyone. Our waiter, Chip, recommended one that was $5-$8 less expensive than the two we were looking at. Now, that's service. Looking out for me and not the total check. Pretty cool, in my book. Thomas, our other waiter was equally knowledgeable and friendly. They helped make the experience top notch.
As locals, Lobster Bar used to be one of our favorite restaurants on Las Olas however, it has started to show its age. In the past, we would overlook the slow service due to the incredible food however, the food is now just above average. From the moment we walked in, we noticed the dirty floors and truly filthy bathrooms. The bread was stale, the appetizers not up to previous standards and the service was slow and unattentive. Not only did we have to wait 20 minutes before anyone noticed that we didnt even have water for the table but throughout our meal, we constantly had to waive the waiter down for service. Mind you, this was after 930 pm and the restaurant was not at its typical peak capacity. Unfortunately, with so many other choices on Las Olas, we would not recommend Loster Bar for dinner given its declining state.
The food was delicious however one entree came and was incorrect and by the time the filet arrived with correct topping and temperature everyone else was done with their entree. The manager took it off the bill . Since you have 2 waiters the service should be great and it was lacking
My husband had just hosted a 50 person private party there and it was quite good for Spirit airlines
Seafood, especially fresh fish & octopus, truly exceptional.
Service was intermittent & slow. Noise level very high, too high for comfortable chat with an older couple. At the 5 Star Price, guests should really have 5 Star Everything.
Icelandic Arctic Char Excellent, Service good but not great...
Noise level uncomfortable.
It is a fish and seafood restaurant in Florida and none of the seafood or fish is locally caught. It is all flown in. Nothing beats local seafood.
The grilled Octopus was tough and the ceviche has no flavor.
All the fish has the same sauce so nothing special there. Expensive for what you get.
Nick and Jose were fantastic as we all the staff. Great food in a beautiful setting.
Everyone greeted us for our anniversary. Sooo nice. Food was outstanding. Loved our waiter
Very overpriced. We made the mistake of not asking what the market price was for the stone crab claws - turned out to be $50 each, more per pound than lobster. When we asked which size claws we should get, the waiter suggested the larger size for 2 of us that were heavier set and the smaller size for those who were thinner. So inappropriate. Felt the severs’ goal was to maximize check amount vs. confirm our needs and recommend what was best for us. Also, we got a 6 pound lobster for 4 of us and I know I would have had a larger portion if I had gotten my own 1 1/2 pounder. I would not go back.
Had being there before so took friends for dinner. Wonderful food and service, stuffed lobster so delicious.
Hostess put us, 4 guys in a really small booth, but quick I asked the manager to changed us to a larger one.
We were very disappointed with the waiter
I hardly ever give a bad review for a restaurant but given the cost of the meal and exceptionally poor service I felt obligated to. I took my family of 5 there on New Years Day, the restaurant was moderately busy but by no means packed. First of all the acoustics are horrible you could not even hear the other people at the table. The sounds just bounce off those tile walls. Second, I got the impression our server would of rather been anywhere but there, he was short with about everyone had zero personality and was extremely unattractive, we had to ask other servers often to get us more drinks or for more water or an ice bucket for the wine. We ordered an appetizer the fried lobster nuggets, never came. When I told him they never came his basic response was Oh OK. Food was good but not nearly worth the cost that may be a reflection of the service but it was disappointing. My daughter is vegan and there were virtually no options for her and when she tried to engage the waiter for help he was useless. I get it is an accommodation and there was no expectation that they would have a huge list of vegan options but every other restaurant we went to was helpful in working with her to find something she could eat and enjoy. The wait staff should at least be prepared with options or be able to work with the guest to find something. I doubt I return, it will at least be a while as there are many other and presumably better options.
The food was overpriced. There was not enough fish for 2 people for that price - $85 for a 2 pound bass is absurd. We are from Chicago and this restaurant would have difficulty competing in the Chicago market. This was not our first time here and we will not return again.
Fun evening out at Lobster Bar.
Always top notch service and exceptional food.
We had a steamed lobster tails and warm spinach salad. The best
we ever had. There was 4 of us and we all agreed the food and
atmosphere was perfect.
we have been before but this night we went for a 7:30 early dinner on new yrs eve and service was good and food came out timely and was very good. Try the fried lobster tail incredible and the steak au poive very tasty. Stay away from he tator tots as very dense but the small flat tarts mushroom especially which feeds two was great .
The food here is exquisite. The vibe is Manhattan more than SoFlo.
Te Dover sole fileted tableside was fabulous! Beautiful fresh oysters! Excellent service.
