The amazing was experience. And the service was incredible!
The food was AMAZING!! The restaurant is very cute and cozy inside - definitely a hidden gem!
Loba is always the best place to eat and relax. The food is unique, tha decoration is awesome. I love it
The food and service were excellent!
This is a great new spot that is not getting a lot of traffic which is too bad. The food and service are great. Please try the fried goat cheese balls and the ceviche!! Its like finding your own secret little nook with the book décor.
We were in town and found LOBA. Great food and atmosphere. Excellent service. Just a great spot we wish we had at home in Oakland. Neighborhood is fun too! Take a walk before or after dinner.
I like that it feels like home here, yet still offers a unique environment with it's attention to detail in decor. The Vincent Van Goat appetizer is very delicious and a special treat. The lentil croquettes were hearty and very tasty. The salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. The lentil burger was loaded with flavor and was filling. I am looking forward to going back.
I thought that the place was quaint and cute for a date and the food was great. I felt bad as there was ONE server for the entire place...I think they definitely need to hire more people but he did a great job killin' it! Despite him being the only worker, we never had to wait for service. Kudos to that guy! I think I had him as a server at Organic Bites once..Hope he gets credit for this post!
Nice place, comfortable and homey, food was better than average. I would go back if i were in the neighborhood.
A wonderful MIMO restaurant and a local gem; the chef/owner is a delight; and the food is always wonderful. The interior is very relaxed and very well done and the availability of books is a real surprise. I highly recommend LOBA and hope that it becomes a MIMO mainstay. It is certainly our go to neighborhood restaurant.
This is the second time I’ve eaten here with my family. The food was great but the service was lacking as always. Neither the server nor the chef/cook knew the components of a meal I ordered for brunch, the menu clearly stated what the meal consisted of but the server and cook repeatedly attempted to correct me until they read the full description on the menu.
I was disppoonted that this place serves chicken but does not have an espresso machine. I tried to give this place a second chance because the flavors are there, but the service is horrible. We won’t be back
I reserved a spot here for my birthday and was highly disappointed. No one checked me in. Only one girl who spoke no English was frantically trying to serve people and check people out and run food, was struggling the whole time. They did nothing to help me celebrate my special occasion ;( Very unorganized—I am surprised they are openand running. I had a couple questions about the menu items and pairing things nicely for taste and the server nor the manager could understand English enough to give me any direction. The food was good but very heavily oiled. Too expensive for what it was and with the lack of presentation and service. Extremely disappointed and wish I had a heads up—so I hope this review helps someone else avoid an experience like mine. This was a first-time trip to Miami—so, not a great impression at all.
1 cook for the entire Restaurant... Took , 20' to receive the menu, 45' for the starters, 60' for the main course, they run out of Sparkling Water??!!! The check was wrong, Fried Chicken & waffles, without waffles???!!!
Do I need to keep going...
Loba was amazing. Me and a few friends came for a quick bite and couldn’t have been happier. The food makes you feel like you are eating at someone’s grandmothers home, but it is perfectly cooked, flavored, and the ingredients are of the highest quality. Can’t wait to go back!!
Went for brunch. Food was great but came out very slowly. None of the food came out at the same time which wouldn't have mattered if it was a tapa style brunch, however it wasn't. My food came out first and my 3 hungry children were staring at my plate. I didn't have the heart to eat my food confront of my children so my food wound up getting cold by the time their plates came out. That was very unfortunate because even cold, my food was amazing, I just wished I could have eaten it hot.
The most disturbing was my server. I was brought the food for another table who also ordered biscuits and my children touched and ate off of plate. I questioned the server when she came back with an item I did not order, and she told me that she got the tables mixed up. She then proceeded to remove the biscuit from my table and gave it to the table behind me!! I was speechless!
Again, the food was amazing, but the service is really lacking.
Super bediening. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De gerechten die zij aanbevelen zijn echt verrukkelijk.
First time, but will certainly return to try additional menu items
Interesting restaurant. Wonderful food. Highly recommend octopus appetizer. Very good service. Portions were large. Consider sharing.
Found via OpenTable favorites. We loved the food and value. Friendly service was much appreciated in trendy Miami.
When we got there they had my name on the table. Personal touch. Loved it. The interior is beautiful and creative. The food was fantastic. Octopus is a must have. The service was great. Loved everything. Definitely going back very soon.
The food and the ambiance was great but the service and our waiter was terrible. We had to wait for an hour for appetizers and our waitress seemed overwhelmed but there were only 4 tables dining. Luckily, it wasn't my 1st time there so I know the service can and has been better. Hoping it was just a bad night.
Went with a group of six. We ordered everything and it was all great. Service was a little slow but overall I'm looking forward to going there again.
Loba continúes to impress. Service has taken a step up as well ! Thank you for an amazing dining experience!
Had Loba Burger great taste along with combination of ingredients and sauce, along with bacon. Only thing is, found the food a little salty. Feel fries were too cooked
Loba is a small, casual, warm, charming spot, with very friendly service and an interesting menu. The food varied; a plate of mixed sausage, churrasco, egg, rice and beans was delicious, but the arepas were hard and dry. The mixed salad that came with the fried snapper was superb - fresh and tart - but the snapper was dry. I would come back and just not order the things I did not like.
LOBA is excellent! It was a random choice for me as I was looking for a place to have dinner and conversations with a friend. But what a great choice it was. Our server made excellent recommendations. We had the patacon and trio of ceviche. Both were delicious choices. We also had their banana nut bread for dessert. I wasn't as pleased with the dessert as I thought I'd be, but it was good. I'll definitely be coming back here.
This was a soulful experience! From the food to the way that they take care of you, Loba is an amazing experience. I will definitely be back:)
The food is really authentic and really good. The staff is not very knowledgable about whats going on and they should serve REALLY fresh juices not fake fresh.
Incredibly slow service during a Saturday afternoon with only 3 tables. Meals came out at different times and my order wasn't fully plated upon arrival to the table so they had to bring a side of eggs for my eggs Benedict, hot sauces never came, drink service was relatively slow as well and the whole process took an hour and half to eat and get our bill. No apologies were made on behalf of servers nor any compensation to the check; if this is Loba's standard of service, this restaurant won't last long even though their food is good. As a concierge, I'm highly unlikely to recommend this restaurant.
This was a great neighborhood spot with better than expected food and ambience. Happened to be in the neighborhood and gave it a try. The grilled octopus appetizer was delicious. Entree choices were a little limited but good.
Awesome service and food. Highly recommend it. Please be patient as food is made to order and worth the wait.
Food used to be a lot better here. Not sure what happened.
It took a very long time before we were greeted. Then once we were greeted we were informed that there were no tables available despite the fact that we had a reservation. After waiting a while we just decided to leave and had dinner at Winewood instead. Winewood was good. I highly recommend Winewood.
Not first visit to Loba. Made s reservation. When arrived all tables except bar-height community table taken up by birthday party of twenty-plus people. Loud, noisy, restless, etc. waitress said they had paid and were leaving. We sat down to wait a few minutes to see. Not only were they not leaving, but waitress brought table two more drinks. There are other options in that neighborhood, so we left.
If a restaurant is going to be taken over almost completely, they should not take additional reservations for the same time period. Will come back again but make sure there is no noisy party. Rated everything poor above because ratings are "required"-but we ate nothing.
You guys have to stop by this place!!!
Charming and modern. At first it appears unassuming but when you get inside there is beautiful decor!!!
I easily made my reservation online (for a table of 8) and they had the table waiting for us when we arrived!! No hassle and no wait!!
They don't have their own parking lot but we were able to park in the residential area behind LOBA (Ms. Cheezious is also next door!! Which should also be on you must-have list for Miami)
Our waitress was nice friendly!! There was fast service. I actually used this restaurant to do my bridesmaids proposal and everything was beautiful! The decor the lighting and don't get me started on the food.
Almost everyone has the "Ring of Fire" aka chicken and waffles. We also had their mimosas!! I had the peach passion and it was delicious!!
I will definitely be back!!
First visit- server extremely pleasant and helpful. Limited menu and beverage list though some good beers. Food good, well prepared and served. Place informal- good place for a fine meal, not complicated, well prepared and served. It is not gourmet, but then that is not what they try to be. Check prices for wine- by all means go but keep expectations realistic.
Will definitely return.
Great food and our server Jenny was excellent.
She worked alone but made sure to take care of everyone !
LOBA is a wonderful restaurant, just my kind of place.
If you appreciate a simple yet well appointed, homely and authentic restaurant, you will like LOBA.
If you are looking to recover from highly produced dishes and still want the same level of care both in food and service, LOBA is for you.
At LOBA you will feel as comfortable with the knowledgeable staff as you can be with your neighbors the next table over, asking about what they are eating … it seems to me LOBA attracts this kind of crowd.
Great food! Service was awesome. The goat cheese appetizer is amazing.
This is a MUST if you are in Miami. Great experience. Small restaurant with great personalized attention. They had my name on a small plaque in the center of the table when we arrived. Service was amazing. Food is just as good!
