Great place when going to The Fox.
Worst steak I had in years. Server would not come around and check on it and when he found out something was wrong, did nothing. He recommended it. Veal chop was mediocre.
The service was excellent and considerate of our timing - as we were attending a performance across the street.
Good entrees. Worth the money
Take the tour of the Georgian Terrace afterward
Unless you already know it's buffet-only, you're stuck with it. We wouldn't have made reservations with them had we known that. It's way too expensive $35pp as well for the quality of food and service you get. The staff acted as if we were a nuisance coming in for brunch. We won't go back.
Everything was delicious! The bourbon shrimp, rib eye, and braised short ribs; just yum! The cornbread though, oh my! The mud pie was a little too sweet for us, but the waitress warned us. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu!
Delicious food incredible wait staff, and HUGE portions. You can tell food is farm fresh and cooked by a master chef! Definitely recommend!
Birthday dinner - absolutely wonderful. The BEST ribeye and Eduardo surprised the birthday boy with ice cream 😍
We had a very nice and relaxing brunch at this elegant restaurant located in one of the best hotels in Atlanta.
We made a reservation because there was a show at the Fox. We were told at check in that we had to get the extremely over priced buffet because there was a show at the Fox. The restaurant was pretty empty. IT WAS A BUFFET and our party of 6 was charged $30 per person plus 18% gratuity FOR A BUFFET! The foods were brunch type food. NOTHING ON THAT BUFFET WAS WORTH $30 EACH. None of us are over-eaters and we definitely DID NOT GET OUR MONEY WORTH. Left there feeling like a fool for choosing that restaurant for my family of 3 and a friends family of 3. They all gave me a hard time about the bill but NOWHERE did it say the $30 plus cost of your drink buffet was mandatory if there was a show at the Fox. There was a lunch & brunch menu posted that fit our budget and was descent prices for the food. We paid all you can eat seafood price for bacon, eggs & pancakes. We will never be back
We loved everything but only liked the food. Our meats were overdone. We’d like to give them another chance.
Food and service were good.
When we are going to the Fox Theater in Atlanta to see a show we always stay at the Georgian Terrace Hotel and always have dinner at Livingston's prior to the show. We have done this many times over the years. Livingston's has always been just great. Nice people, good food and great service. Our dinner there adds to what has always been an enjoyable visit to Atlanta and the Fox Theater.
Our waiter was fantastic. Food was good. Not great, but good. We were there for a pre-theater dinner. The food came out in a timely manner. Everything was the right temperature. Drinks were good. Our waitor was the best waitor we've had in a long time.
Always excellent. Love the variety makes a perfect pre theatre brunch.
Girlfriend weekend to see Cats at The Fox Theatre. Livingston’s is our favorite!...and Hassan is the BEST waiter!!!!!!
Everything was good not great. Shrimp on grit cake should be taken off menu.
Hostess’ hair showing dark roots and some blonde hair long dirty stringy oily definitely took my appetite and the ambiance of what
I was expecting away at what I thought Livingston would have as a hostess.
Bad first impression. Had to wait a while to be greeted.
I had left a message about traffic and our being late but obviously she hadn’t check messages . “ we only hold reservations for 15 mins”
Basically it was just an ok experience before walking over to see
CATS. It had 20 mins if no sound so guess it just wasn’t our night !
I had reservations for two at 5:30 p.m. but arrived 25 minutes early with three people. I was accommodated without hesitation. The service was great and our server actually noticed that one of the dishes we ordered had not been brought out yet. She was quick to retrieve it from the kitchen.
As always, delicious food and excellent service. We were fortunate to have our favorite server, Eduardo!
Dinner before the concert at the Fox. Great meal, good wine, fantastic service. The place was packed, noise level was high. All in all, a great time at the Livingston.
It wasn't the most pleasant. Noise level was extremely loud. There was a mix up with our bill but it was resolved. Our server was not the most attentive. Maybe it was due to so many people. Just wasn't the top draw we were use to.
Went for lunch with some girlfriends....very quiet on a weekday. Food was yummy! Service was attentive.
Ambiance was "Meh' Though it did have it's historical charm.
Eight clients for lunch took over 40 minutes to get entrees Very limited menu and pasta with brown butter sauce was not good. They need to try a lot harder in this beautiful well located spot
We've eaten here many times over the years and the draw was always the location (across from the Fox) and the interior (lovely old hotel lobby). The food and service were never horrible, but never particularly noteworthy. This visit was different. We were a party of 6 for a 9 p.m. reservation after a show. There were perhaps 15 other people in the restaurant. It was not noisy (as it can sometimes be, but that's never really a problem for me) and our servers were incredible attentive, gave us time to enjoy our cocktails before pushing us to place our orders, were very knowledgeable, and were attentive without being annoying. And they were charming! We lingered over dinner and greatly enjoyed the food, which was far better than our previous experiences. The trout and spareribs were the standouts. One of the hosts quickly found a to-go cup for a coffee one of us had not finished. We'll be back even when we do not have tickets at the Fox. Well done!
After not coming into that area for over 10 years I was very surprised, a had Great dinner/evening.
Just spoke with the restaurant manager to vent my dissatisfaction with the value and quality of a dinner for four.
Going to give 5 stars for her response to our conversation.
As I expressed to the manager, the state of the meals set upon our table should never have left the kitchen. Where are the standards?
Tonight was not my experience of the past.
Hope things get turned around.
The food was ok but the service was terrible. We sat for 15 mins before someone came by for drink orders. No one checked in the entire meal and we had to flag someone down to get the check.
Have been many times before shows at Fox but this will be our last. Made reservations 2 months ago but tried to sit us on lounge chairs that were too short for the table. They had obviously overbooked or given away our table. The hostess was rude and very curt. No apology basically blamed us because we didn’t request a specific table. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a tablet that you can actually eat at when you have a reservation. Finally offered us the community table when I asked to speak to a manger. Horrible customer service. Will not be back.
We had a wonderful pre-play dinner. Livingston was overbooked and we were placed upstairs--we were the only ones. We still had great service and dinner was good. Some a few things were taken off the bill -- a very nice and unexpected gesture. Thank you.
Our server was horrible and we asked for the manager twice.
Our group of 3 looked forward to dining at Livingston prior to a show at The Fox. We had a drink at the bar which was nice prior to being seated at our 5:30 reservation. It was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is very pretty and atmosphere is nice, but unfortunately, they were short servers and we felt it. Our female server came to table, we asked for water and decided on an appetizer to share. She briefly came by and asked if we knew what we wanted for dinner, and we ordered our entrees and a bottle of champagne. Our appetizer came out fast and it was good and then our entrees came out not long after. We all liked our trout dishes. Not amazing but well prepared and tasty. Our food was delivered by someone else and more than halfway through eating, we began to wonder if our champagne would ever come. Finally, I stopped another staff person and told her that we have never seen our server again and to pass on to not bring our bottle because we were almost done eating at this point. Another 10 minutes later, our server appeared and rudely asked if we cancelled our bottle. I said of course, we are now finished with our meal. She left and more than 20 minutes later, I got up and asked the hostess if somehow she could get us our check. Someone came with it after 10 more minutes and after another 15, we were paid and left. My assessment is that they were short staffed but I imagine that the poor service might be that way prior to all shows at The Fox. I will not be dining there again prior to a show.
Service was horrible. Place was not busy and they took 30 minutes to bring out our breakfast. Initial order was wrong and they brought meals out at different times instead of together. Eggs were over cooked. I rarely complain but the service here warranted a complaint. It is a shame because it resides in a luxury hotel
The food and service while at the restaurant was amazing! However, they get a fair rating from me because the service leading up to our reservation was horrible. The person in charge of reservations, Shevonne (forgive me if the spelling is incorrect) was less than professional. She attempted to call me the day of and cancel my reservation, though I made the reservation five days in advance. She stated she "doesn't have time to look at each reservation everyday," which is why she did not recognize the problem with my reservation in advance.
The food was absolutely horrible. Not as advertised. The "Pig Wing" appetizer was actually good. The Fried Chicken Entree was Mealy and soft, as if the meat had been soaked in something, and it tasted horrible. The rice that accompanied it was old, and mushy. The Mussles were covered with cheese for some reason, which had the taste of old curdled milk when mixed with the broth that the mussles were served with.
Drinks were fine, and the service was very good.
But overall, I could not eat my entree.
The food was different and very tasty. Enjoyed the experience.
Very pleasant date night. After dinner and drinks, we headed across the street to the Fox for a great evening.
The food is superb. The flavor was truly exceptional. Since we were not sitting at a window, the atmosphere felt a bit somber. Might be a combination of the monochromatic palette and lighting. Maybe lights at each individual table would benefit this area. There was a wedding, I think, next to the restaurant; a better sound barrier would help with that as well.
Myself and my wife had excellent service. The food was excellent. I will be back again.
The service was okay, and the food was decent. The brussel sprouts were burnt to a crisp. Had to ask for a substitute. Also the drink order and food orders were all placed at the same time, not allowing time to enjoy my cocktail.
Food is delicious! The cornbread is fantastic and the portions are a nice size! Fast and friendly service as well!
