Dinner before Nutcracker at the Fox
Made a res for breakfast, for 9 am, as brunch was fully booked.
Such a disappointment! Breakfast was a simple, very simple, buffet. Cold scrambled eggs, sausage that was impossible to cut with a knife.
No bowls for yoghurt, no bowls for fruit.
Pastries dry and not fresh.
Bread, a simple standard loaf.
Staff did refill coffee, often.
Would I repeat breakfast...no
Great place for a business lunch, because it is quiet. The food is very tasty and creative, also. Great service. Thank you!
We met for dinner before the theater and everyone was efficient, and professional. The blackened trout was excellent as well as the salmon chips. Will definitely go here again.
Excellent restaurant in a beautifully restored older building. Menu offers wonderful selections, if somewhat limited. Directly across from the historic (no exaggeration), Egyptian-decor Fox Theatre, once an elegant cinema; now rarely used for movies, but offers frequent performances ranging from Broadway-caliber live shows to music events of all types. The best evening we have had in years was dinner at the Livingston followed by "White Christmas on-stage.
Jessica was an amazing server. We love to go to Livingston before the shows at The Fox.
We had a great time!
Went before going to a play at The Fox and they were geared for people going to the play! Salmon chips were fabulous as an appetizer and the scallops were a delicious entree!! They make a great pomegranate martini! Some friends also enjoyed the fried chicken and The Storyteller drink. A wonderful time all the way around which of course included wonderful service!!
We asked for a regular dinner menu and were told the pre theater menu was the only one available; hence our choices were very limited . All 4 of us ordered the Delmonico steak and it was very good. Managers stopped by our table and helped ensure we got excellent service The drinks were also very good so overall we had a nice meal at a reasonable pace. Coffee was very good and it was priced below most good restaurants. If the prices of the entrees were a little lower we would go here more often
Convenient for the Fox but very slow food delivery.
Great convenience, food and service but lousy coffee.
We have been to Livingston's a lot because we are season tickets to one of the Fox series.
Beyond how convenient it is being across the street from the Fox, the food is always very good and interesting selections. Last Friday, we had extra time and ordered plain coffee after dinner. It was horrible. We did not have time at that point to complain and hope management will see this post. It left a bad last impression!
Excellent food and great service. So convenient for going to The Fox.
The food is good, the service is excellent!!
Great place for our Thanksgiving dinner. We picked a winner this year. The only negative part was our table was right next to the kitchen, so the staff kept going in and out the door the entire time. Other than that, I would definitely come back next year.
The buffet food was great
I would go again
I know it’s a buffet but service was just ok, very rarely did anyone check on us. If you’re going to take our knives and forks with our plates ( and you should, it’s tacky to have us keep them resting on the table) thay need replacing before we get back with new plates of food. We met the same people all the time at the top end service station looking for cutlery. My suggestion is you let us pick up more when we pick up a new plate as we don’t need new napkins all the the time either.
We did get supplied with plenty of water, that guy was doing a good job for you.
Also when I tried to change our reservation I left a message, the girl who called back was pretty rude, no chance of changing anything as you were overbooked and actually suggested I should cancel......Really !
Thanksgiving buffet was great. Everything we had was delicious. They also have Mother’s Day and Easter buffet as well. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The restaurant and hotel is beautiful. Valet parking was available.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanksgiving dinner. Great ambience. Great food. Numerous choices. Everything prepared to perfection. Validated parking. Would choose Livingston again for any special occasion.
Thanksgiving buffet was good. Nice selection
Service from JESSICA was excellent. All staff very friendly and professional
Thanksgiving buffet was our first visit to Livingston's and we're looking forward to returning for the regular menu. Always leery of buffets but with limited choices open on the holidays, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and value. $50/pp included one of the most delicious turkeys I've ever tasted, prime rib, shrimp, delicious sides and a dessert table packed with joy. Servers were very pleasant, food was hot and serving area was kept clean. Gorgeous dining room!
Thanksgiving brunch is the best! Excellent
Selections, great staff, good wine.
I enjoyed your restaurant however I would like to recommend that you expand upon your menu--- keep in mind today people have more vegan and plant-based palates and choices are a little minimal with current menu. Also, for children, consider some varied options. Hope this helps, Thanks.
The atmosphere and service were outstanding. The food was delicious. We had a wonderful and welcoming conversation with our server, Diana. We will definitely be back. Thanks
We were late-it was fine. We were in a hurry-they made sure we had time. We had the Pig Wings and fixin's-very good. The best thing though was the Bourbon Shrimp! OMG-delish! We had great service and it was a friendly place. What else is there? Oh-not many booths and you can get lost in there.
First steak overdone but second was ok. Chicken bit overdone also. Disappointed overall and not likely to return.
Service was terrible. Was going to cost $45.00 to valet on a theater night.
Extremely disappointed to be charged 75 cents for ice!!! Ordered bourbon. Asked for it on the rocks. Apparently they charge for “rocks.” Food was good.
I was passing through Atlanta and this place was good everything I had there was fantastic. If I lived in the area I would go back.
The hotel and restaurant are lovely, and it's really convenient for the Fox Theatre. The food is only mediocre.
This is not the place to go - very poor choices on the menu
We had gone to the Livingston before, where the menu was more than 4 items
Not sure if they switch cooks or trying to increase margin - but very poor menu
Stay away - hotel is nice but this place is worthless
Really need to do something to pull in more people - no wonder it was dead before the show at Fox
I had eaten here some years ago. The meal this time did not disappoint. The one thing that I WAS disappointed with was the wine selection. Not very many to choose from. Location is great - right across from the Fox Theatre. They also have a pre-theatre dinner menu. Service was very good.
Service was terrible. Very slow and not responsive. Chef would not specify what was on vegetable plate. We told waitress we wanted dessert and coffee and then she came and said it was too late and restaurant was closed. When we objected she brought us coffee dnd one dessert.
Food very good but steaks were not grilled as ordered and had to be sent back for more cooking which took unnecessary time before a show at the Fox. Taste of steak very good though and that is the best entrée for us and would order it again. Drinks prepared very well.
Attended vince gill concert.
Visited your facility for cocktails n dinner. Pricey but excellent.
Really lovely space with a lot of majestic southern decor like a beautiful marble staircase. Our food was yummy - I opted for the southern fried chicken with jalapeño cornbread and a delicious broccoli casserole- divine. My husband had the trout and he really enjoyed it. We split a bottle of Oberon red wine which was really, really good. Our server was friendly and helpful and made the experience even better.
Birthday and show
Overall food selection was very good. Something for everyone.
We were at the Livingston to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. The service, food and ambiance were
excellent. A bouquet of thanks to the Georgian Terrace Hotel and The Livingston Restaurant staff for the
superb attention given to our visit. We had a truly delectable dining experience.
Moreover, our weekend stay at the hotel exceeded our expectations.
