Very disappointing for pre-theater dinner. Long wait to even get beverages and ordered dinner at the same time. After waiting patiently salads arrived for the 4 of us and the entre arrived only for the other couple. When they had all but finished our shared entre arrived we hastily ate what we could and left for the show and barely made it. (We arrived 75 min before first curtains up notice) Waitress seemed a little peaved with the kitchen but offered no consideration for our issues. Doubt I will go back next time I'm going to the Fox.
This is always my favorite place to go before a play, good food and drinks and staff is friendly. Make a reservation ahead of time.
What an awesome experience and such a well-prepared meal. Highly recommended!
Food was great.
Birthday Sunday brunch buffet made me eat way too much but everything was delicious, especially the fried chicken, collard greens and mac & cheese. This was minutes after eating a breakfast of bacon quiche shrimp and grits and sausage and French toast. Way too much food but it was very good.
I really wish they had another fish as a substitute for not having the trout. Everyone does not eat beef.
It's convenient to the Fox, no question, but shouldn't the food be more than halfway decent? Shouldn't it be at least as good as the service? Well, last night it wasn't, not even close. The short ribs weren't; they were really just pot roast. The fried chicken wasn't; crispy, but so dried out it was like eating a KFC leftover. And the pecan pie was really just a warm (not even crispy) apple crisp with one decorative pecan on top. That's one that really needs a new description. Overall, a bust.
It was my birthday. My girlfriend’s and I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Would love to go back for date night and actually stay at the hotel next time.
Great service, wonderful ambiance and fine food, well presented.
Solid cocktail, solid meal, great service. In spite of some 2/14 saint day! Well done. Wish there were a deeper, more interesting wine list.
My date was a Valentine's dinner before seeing a show at the Fox Theater. The entire experience was GREAT! My date loved it.... I'm thinking about using it when I propose...
Love the ambiance, Service Excellent, and Efficent!
Food lukewarm... not good for scallops and grits.
We had dinner after a show at the Fox. We had prepaid our parking, but could not get out of the parking garage without paying an additional 25 dollars. There was no one to assist us either.
Livingston's was lovely. We walked over after a show at the Fox, and were seated a little earlier than our reservation. The menu is small but very good, and the service so friendly.
Great wine. Shrimp appetizer was delicious!! I would like to see more entree options.
An excellent meal and terrific service while waiting for a show to start at the Fox. We’re gonna do this again soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Livingston. While the menu is somewhat limited - as a popular pre-theater venue we understand that efficiency is key, everyone was nonetheless pleased with their selections. The salads were fresh and creative, the braised short ribs and fried chicken entries prepared to order and all provided ample portions. Once the theater crowd departed, we enjoyed the quieter ambiance. Service was friendly and attentive, not intrusive. And the valet parking option was very efficient.
My husband a I love coming to Livingston Restaurant. We love the Salmon chips and Arugula salad.
We love Livingston when we visit the Fox. Very convenient. Good food and service.
Disappointed that only buffet was served
Went for brunch just before seeing the Lion King. At 11:30, lines to the buffet we’re long, they were out of a few of the items in the buffet line and it took a while to be greeted by our waiter for drinks. Having said that, the food was good and it was super convenient to the show. I’ve had dinner here before and it was a much better experience. Perhaps it was because of it being a sit down dinner rather than a buffet.
The food is always good at Livingston's, the brunch was lacking a little. The only egg dish was a egg and onion dish. An egg bar would have been helpful. Our service was not good. All of that being said it is a great place for before an event at the Fox.
Very overpriced for the Sunday Brunch - $25.00 per person - the only eggs were very small quiches that were cut in half - Very small salad bar - one fruit tray - I felt the buffet was very skimpy.
My husband’s entree was delicious- he had the ribeye. I got the short rib and it tasted like dried out pot roast. I definitely expected more - especially in both service and food. It’s in a beautiful hotel and we were seated right away but then waited 20 minutes for our server to take our drink orders. It’s definitely convenient if you are going to the Fox but that’s about the only true upside to eating dinner here.
The vibe of the place was by far its greatest attribute. Service was pleasant enough, menu for pre-theater dinner was very limited and frankly, the food was average; nothing about either wow'd me. Great location, as it's literally across the street from The Fox theater. I'd say it's worth trying. Once.
Service was terrible. We requested drink refills but never got them. Waitress was not interested in taking care of out table. We saw her to order our meals and then after we flagged her down to pay for our meal.. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Service was great! Very convenient for pre-theater dinner. However, the food is very mediocre at best. The menu could use a bit more variety.
Location across from the Fox Theater in Atlanta is a key reason to dine here.
We met at Livingston's for drinks and dinner before going to the Fox Theater. The wine, food, and service were all excellent. Our waitress knew we had limited time and was very accommodating!
The service was extraordinary. We were attending a show at the Fox Theater across the street. Our meals were served promptly and the wait staff was excellent. We did not feel rushed. It was obvious that much thought went into the menu so that patrons who want to have dinner before or after an event at The Fox can be graciously served excellent food by well-trained servers in a lovely ambiance. The Livingston is top on out downtown restaurant list.
