LIV is a fabulous fine dining restaurant. My husband and I went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it did not dis-appoint. The service was excellent. Our servers were all polite, professional and attentive. My husband and I both started off with the smoked tomatoe with asiago soup. It was delicious. Our main entrees were Sea Bass and Beef tenderloin. Both were great. The atmosphere there is nice. It is soft and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for all types of occasions and celebrations.

One of the best meals I've had out in a restaurant in a long time. The service was outstanding and everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented.

Great day - took us early on check-in. Nice room, clean lot of amenities. Restaurant was very good, you wont go hungry for a fine dining spot. Lamb and Halibut work cooked to perfection. Mussels were good in portion, however a little bit of grit at times pancetta needed to be rendered down more and bits were too big in size. Dessert was tasty. Waitress did a fantastic job! Nice environment and décor and we never had to leave the building :)

Wonderful restaurant and dining experience. We were welcomed as soon as we entered, and they remembered to acknowledge that we had a birthday person in our party. The food presentation and tastes were excellent. The starters we ordered were excellent for sharing. Nice little touches in between courses with extra "Chef Creations" to try. Sorbet was a nice touch to help cleanse our pallets. We left feeling full and highly satisfied. We will definitely come again.

While we had heard excellent things about LIV restaurant we were very dis satisfied with our meal. Both entree's lacked flavor. The service was terrible. The restaurant was not that busy and we waited over 25 minutes to get our first drinks. We had an app which was great but then waited over an hour for our mains to arrive and they were bland and flavorless to say the least.
Do NOT waste your money or time on this place!

My said his husband steak was the best he every had. I had some old leaves in my mix green salad. They mentioned Hoyt towels twice and we did not see any. Dessert was great.

This Hotel, Staff, Stay, and Restaurant, was absolutely fabulous. We have been a huge fan of their head chef Michael Price for years. So when we booked this dinner for our 5th anniversary we were prepared to be totally impressed. However, once we found out the most amazing dinner we just had was prepared by the sou chef Ross Burnett we were totally blown away, as it was the best meal we ever had. Kudos Ross..... Our servers Heni and Rachel were fantastic and definitely in keeping with Michael's philosophy of your not lucky to be here we are lucky to have you here.

From the moment we arrived at White Oaks Resort we were greeted with fabulous hospitality. From the porter Robert who took our luggage and showed us our room and offered to get us ice, to the concierge Andre who remembered our name every time we walked through the lobby and assisted us in all aspects of our stay, we were totally impressed with everyone and everything about this resort. We could not believe the class, style and friendliness of the the staff and the Ambiance was exquisite. We were there to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary and our dinner in Liv restaurant was absolute perfection. The food was over the top in both presentation and taste with no detail overlooked. The many extras provided throughout the night were extremely appreciated including the bottle of champagne on ice and two glasses delivered to our room which was totally unexpected. We would certainly recommend this resort to you all and we look forward to our next visit. Thank you so much for making our stay memorable in so many ways, we won't forget you, or our amazing experience. We can't wait to see you all again next year.

The Liv restaurant is a beautiful facility. I just wish that the food was equally on par.

My wife had the Eggplant Parmesan which looked and tasted like a very low effort dish. At these prices we would expect restaurant made ingredients, not supermarket fare lazily slopped on a plate.

I had the Halibut which was severely over cooked. Easily the driest piece of fish I’ve ever had. I paired this with a glass of the house white which was definitely opened several days earlier.

The Chocolate Armageddon was decent, but again tasted like it was pre-purchased and not made in house.

Our waitress was perfectly pleasant with a friendly personality.

The cost of your meal must be going to cover the cost of the beautiful facilities because they’re not investing it back into the food.

I was a little disappointed with the wait staff, it seems he was either new or was not trained enough, I used my gift certificate to pay for our meal and he gave me the visa machine to run the gift card through for the payment, I have never had to do this so I thought this was something new anyway he could not understand why the payment was not accepting, then I finally asked him to check with someone else who can help him, it took a while to get this all figured out and I was getting a little annoyed, the other problem is that I had two guest from Toronto who were celebrating their birthday and I mentioned this to the hostess and the wait staff ahead of time, I did the same thing last year and my guests were given a little desert treat and nothing happened this time so we left. I have had breakfast several times at Live and I always left very satisfied with the service.

Went to date night with our next door neighbours. The music playing over the speaker system was loud and did not reflect the ambience of the restaurant. Asked the waitress if she could turn it down which she did, however it gradually became louder again. Oherwise, as always, an extremely delicious meal with great service.

While we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the service was great, the food was nothing special. With entres around $50 per plate we were disappointed that each meal came with the same side vegetable. At that price everything on the plate should be designed to go together, no part of the meal should be the same on each plate. While the steak was well cooked and the mussels were tasty, nothing was out of the ordinary. The Caesar salad was fine, but certainly not a good value given how ordinary it was. I line to be inspired by a restaurant at this price, not just satiated.

This restaurant is a high end restaurant, where you get a chef aperitif, sorbet cleansing, etc. So, I usually have high expectations from a restaurant like this. Which is why I am always surprised when I ask the waitress if a specific meal has garlic in it, and her response is "everything has garlic in it." And I say, "well, can they make it without garlic?", and the answer is no. I expect that kind of answer from McDonalds where everything is made ahead of time, but you don't expect a high end restaurant to have everything made ahead of time. The best restaurants I've ever been to have always said to me "absolutely, we make everything to order, so we can make it however you like." So, be warned - if you go here wanting to change anything at all with the food you order, it probably won't happen. Other than that, I did end up ordering the tuna, which she mentioned they would leave the sauce with the garlic in it off, and the meal was good.

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at white oaks this week and dined at Liv, Play and Grow restaurants. Even though the resort clearly was widely loved, you would have thought we were the only people there with the service received every place we went. My husband and I were blown away by the service, the food, the spa, the friendliness of all staff, the cleanliness of the entire resort and the mini complimentary surprises for our anniversary. We cannot wait to go back!!!

For our 15th wedding anniversary, this was an extraordinary fine dining experience but with a relaxed feel. Our hostess was super friendly and helpful and so were our servers, James and Chris. A fabulous, quality meal with a few added surprises such as a scoop of sorbet to cleanse the palate between appetizer and meal plus a complimentary glass of champagne to help us celebrate! And more! Nicely timed courses with great presentation throughout! This was pretty up-scale for us, but we feel the prices were fair.

We'd like to thank all the staff for a wonderful experience and pass along our most enthusiastic compliments to the chef!

We were looking for a really nice restaurant in the Niagra area and came across Liv. We liked the restaurant but found the menu a little limiting and the views from the restaurant not really great. The food was good although the menu a bit limiting.

Went for anniversary dinner. Only positive was a complimentary glass of sparkling to start. Service was spotty. Wife ordered a charcuterie board. Absolutely awful ...chutneys did NOT MATCH the board items. Poor cheese selections and inedible meats. Hard boiled egg.....really??? Worst we’ve ever experienced and we dine out frequently. Next was the four part seafood dish. Spring roll cold and no flavor, shrimp over cooked. Couldn’t choke it down, crab cake was mainly filler with sparse crabmeat....in a word atrocious. Caesar salad had an off putting dressing. Wasn’t offered any black pepper. Rack of lamb was OK. For the price, expected much more. We will never be back. Besides the nice ambiance, go somewhere else. Tread well was excellent the night before.

The relish cup to start was refreshing, the vinaigrette, hummus, fresh butter with bread to dip was delicious. Beef tenderloin and 14 oz strip loin were amazing. The sorbet to clear the packet was a nice touch and the lemon creme brulee was to die for. Henry of Pelham Baco Noir was a very complimentary wine for our meal. Will definately reccomend the restaurant to friends. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was an added touch to a wonderful romantic dinner.

Stayed at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant for a celebratory birthday dinner. The effort was certainly there to make it a fine dining experience with “amuse bouche”, hot towels (that smelled of bleach and not lemon), bread basket, and palette cleanser BUT when the food doesn’t deliver, it’s all a waste. The gnocchi was “ok” but nothing special. Two of us ordered the (vegan) risotto and it was awful. The rice was barely cooked and the dish far too liquidy. The waitress was fine but not great. While we certainly didn’t want to rush, our group felt that the dishes were drawn out far too long making it almost painful. During our time we also overheard a gentleman at the table next to us having a disagreement over the bill with the waitress which just made the evening more awkward. We were really looking forward to this dining experience but sadly did not enjoy ourselves nor would we recommend the dishes we tried.

The food was amazing. The size of servings for price was outstanding. Quiet ambiance combined with a small but varied menu assures there is something for everyone. Our server James was attentive and the meal pleasantly spaced out to be able to enjoy it. Restaurant manager made sure to check on us and ensure everything was delicious. A must visit.
