Our evening at Liv Restaurant was remarkable. My wife and I were celebrating our 8th anniversary and we were treated to first-rate service from Jacob and Hayden. Highlights of the night included the complimentary champagne, the delectable beef striploin and the scrumptious dessert, cinnamon pecan cheesecake.
My husband and I enjoyed a 25th anniversary celebration dinner at LIV. We can't recommend it highly enough! The service was perfect and the food absolutely amazing! Well worth the drive and the price.
Was there for our anniversary. They made a point of having anniversary inserts in our menus which I thought was a neat touch along with the complimentary sparkling wine. We went with the chef’s creation of the evening and it did not disappoint, the meal was full of locally sourced ingredients and was a delight to the senses. Our server Stan was welcoming, polite and attentive, his assistant Molly was equally attentive and polite. A spot we will return to for sure.
LIV is always great for meetings, special occasions, or just when you want to treat yourself. Great friendly staff, are always ready to cater to their clients. Food is always great and plentiful, chefs are creative enough without going to far to appeal to any one.
Wow. Classy. Our server, Hennie remembered is from last year and even recalled where we sat. Little details made this place a step above others. The menu insert said Happy Anniversary which it was. They. Thought hot towels to the table before the amuse bouche. The lemon sorbet between courses to cleanse the palate was a nice touch too. Friendly and attentive service made us feel like we were the only ones there. Thank you Zliv for a memorable dinner
Our server Jacob was the best. Nice personality and very attentive.
Unfortunately we had issues at both restaurants at White Oaks as well as with White Oaks staff. Everything is beautiful and food is wonderful. However, we had requested to have the dinner bill divided - we were fine with paying it at the table but the wait staff was insistent that is was best to have it divided onto our room bills and she did that. The next day when we checked out it was on my friend's room bill and no huge deal but one more thing we needed to sort out as we checked out.
Food was fantastic! Staff were friendly, inviting, helpful !
Everything from start to finish was amazing here!! We had an awesome server (Fiona) who made our experience extra special. Thank you, we’ll be back!
Excellent food, excellent service. We had a really nice time dinning at Liv celebrating my husbands birthday and our wedding anniversary.
Had to wait 15 mins for our drinks, then another 10 mins our glassses sat empty, wasnt busy for the price service could of been better. Overall food was delicious!
This was my second time dining here. The food was still amazing. I ordered the veal chop which was cooked to perfection. It was so delicious I literally savoured every bite. My son had my leftovers the next day for lunch and he also savoured every bit! My niece was dining with us. She had never been to a fine dining restaurant and she was so excited and impressed by how well we were treated and how everything was so beautiful and tasty. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our requests. We will definitely be back again! Thank you
Ordered the tenderloin. It was over cooked and tough. Not overly impressed and expected more from a 4
We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast at Liv! Our server, Serk, was exceptional and went above and beyond in providing us with a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back!
While the food and the wine were excellent, the service from Barry and Molly made our dinner very special. Barry has set the bar for service beyond compare. While we think we were generous enough with the gratuity that we left, however, when we got back to the hotel room, we second thought ourselves that perhaps we should have left more than we did. Given that our son has started university in the area, we will definitely be back. My husband will be back for a conference in October. I am most likely to join him towards the end of the conference, if only to be back for another dinner at Liv.
Always our favourite restaurant out in Niagara area. Excellent ambience, food and service as usual.
Outstanding on all levels
This was our third visit to Liv, as usual it was excellent. The seafood 4x appetizer is amazing. My main course was good, although it was unusual to get a strip steak that came in three pieces. The chocolate dessert was very good. The service was excellent. There were a few noisy diners present, other than that it was quiet. The extras provided are always a great touch that add to the special nature of the restaurant (hot towels, amuse-bouche, sorbet palate cleanser, after dinner chocolate). It is rare that a restaurant provides all of these. It helps to justify the high price of a special night out.
Great fine dining experience. On-line reservation was easy. We drove from Toronto and it was a pleasant hour and a half drive. The restaurant was easy to find and the seating was immediate.
The food was delicious from the starters to the main course and the desert. The ambiance was excellent. Though it was fully booked the layout and the the lighting made it feel intimate. The personal touch of the manager having a chat on our experience and offering his assistance was unique. Also, the price was reasonable.
For the mouth watering menu, I will recommend the sea food platter, the rack of lamb and the hazlenut cremebruleI. it is a fine dining experience not to be missed. But make your bookings in advance to avoid dissapontment.
This restaurant was beyond amazing. They treated my daughter (who is 12) and I like Queens , made sure she was happy and adapted to exactly what she would like without hesitation. The food was superb and we even had to order seconds of the chocolate Armageddon which was to die for .
It was our Anniversary and were visiting from the USA. We were greeted with glasses of champagne which was a nice touch. Both of our dinners were so delicious. I had the beef tenderloin and my husband had the scallops. The peach cheesecake we had for dessert was also very good. We enjoyed it all so much we went back again another night.
LIV never disappoints. Food is excellent, service is great and they will always try to accommodate your requests. Definitely worth the drive from Toronto for dinner, will be back soon.
Our server was very slow. We had to ask for her when our meal can to have wine with it.. as we waited our food became cold
My husband and I celebrated an anniversary with dinner out at the LIV restaurant. We were surprised with complementary glasses of sparkling Pino Grigio when we were seated and the first page of the menu said "Happy Anniversary". Very nice touches. The food was very good. Food was nicely flavoured and well presented. We especially enjoyed the soup which was a sort of stew soup with beef tenderloin tips and a variety of vegetables. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. It was a lovely setting. We had a table by the window looking out onto the garden flowers.
Service was outstanding. Both the appetizer and main courses were a pleasure, both visually and in taste. Servings are such that you will not go away hungry. Upon reflection, my wife and I agreed we could have easily split either of our main courses. Staff genuinely come across as very happy which speaks well to the management style of the organization. Only suggestion is to make the menu slightly less protein driven.
We have been her 6 times and always have terrific meals and awesome service.
LOVE THIS PLACE 💓
Drove in from Detroit with the family and everyone was starving. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess that assured us our causal dress attire was fine. Started out with an amazing Caesar salad that the whole table enjoyed. Kids were thrilled when the server delivered a raspberry before our main course. The entrees were enormous but there was nothing left to take home. Fiona our amazing server recommended the Armageddon chocolate cake which also didn’t disappoint. We will for sure come back on our next visit.
We were meeting friends at Liv which was a half way point. We were made to feel good from the time we entered. The waiter listened to our food sensitivities and promptly made suggestions on how to modify dishes to accommodate . The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The manager stopped by to make sure our evening was going smoothly and we were satisfied with everything. Although the restaurant was full, the attentiveness of the staff made you feel like they were catering just to you. We stayed for 4 hours and were the last to leave. No one had said a word to us that they wanted to close.
We have eaten in this restaurant several times and it never disappoints us. I would recommend Liv highly.
Liv never disappoints. It is our “go to” for special occasions. The attention to detail is second to none. Stan, our server (who we have had before) was incredibly attentive and made great suggestions. Lastly, the meal was INCREDIBLE. The striploin was out of this world and the pasta feature was unreal. Best dining in all of Niagara by far. Perfect for our special night!!
LIV never disappoints! Food and service are always on point. Portions are a great size.
Brad was an absolute top notch professional who made our special evening even better! His attention to detail, engaging personality makes us look forward to coming back! Erin, devin and Norma
Food was very tasty but the service was so slow that after a 55 minute wait I did tell the waitress we would have to leave if not served soon. Waitress apologized "(I do not know what is going on in the kitchen") for the delay and the food was brought out. A bit disconcerting because the restaurant was only half full. It was so late by time we ate that we passed on dessert. This restaurant is not in the town proper but was a $40 cab ride (one way) from our in town hotel. Everyone was very nice, the food was very good but the wait was a total downer.
We were staying at the hotel for the night, we had gone on the wine tour earlier that day and someone had suggested Liv on the tour. We then checked trip advisor and Liv was #1 for fine dining in the niagara on the lake area. Brad was our waiter and he was awesome! Our food was exceptional!
Celebrated my 18th anniversary. The service was great and the food was great. Would recommend to anyone who wants accessible upscale dining. Thanks Liv for making our special day a memorable one.
Had a great meal with my wife hear last night. Stan was a gracious server and the food was great.
With a reasonable corkage fee of $15 we enjoyed a nice bottle from our cellar.
Will be back for sure.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Liv. The service by Brad and Matt was excellent and very professional. The food was delicious and we appreciated all the extra touches that come with dining at Liv! We will definitely be back.
Our waiter, Jacob, was excellent. He made us feel comfortable and his attention to our needs exceeded our expectations. We’ll be back.
I had an amazing experience here! It was my boyfriend’s & I 6 year anniversary and they treated us so amazing, made us feel very special and our server Fiona gave us outstanding service. We can not wait to come back and enjoy the most romatic time together! Great getaway for a couple looking for some quality time!
Awesome experience....great food, great service, great atmosphere...loved it!!!!!
Brad gave exemplary service, the back server however, asked if I wanted new cutlery after having used what was laid for the amuse bouche. An extremely odd question for a fine dining establishment. This ain't no Chinese food buffet dear.
The Giant Prawns were good but the star of that show were the enormous Capers. The seafood sauce could have used a bit more acid such as a hit of lemon juice and maybe just a dollop of creme fraiche & horseradish. Pistachio encrusted Lamb was good but the cheesecake was not memorable.
Not a bad wine list but had hoped for more selections by the glass.
Again, in an establishment such as this, I cannot understand why cocktails would be made with dreadful powdered bar mix instead of real lime juice. Even the stuff out of a bottle is better than that jello like stuff.
The décor is perfect; understated yet classic. No busy artwork cluttering up the walls. A simple b&w theme with only the orchids on the nice wide tables as an accent.
