Great environment, varied menu and excellent service. Will def use again for business.
Somewhat disjointed experience, which at this level and price point is not really acceptable. We waited a very long time for any service for an initial drinks order. Then we waited in excess of 30 minutes between starters and mains. On every occasion we had to work to flag a waiter. When we ordered a second bottle of wine with the mains, necessitated by the long wait, it wasn't cold enough so we didn't really get to enjoy it with food as it was away on ice for ages and we had to ask for it to be brought to the table. Despite flagging these issues, which I consider serious in a restaurant of this calibre, no real apology was made and nothing was done to reflect the very unsatisfactory nature of the evening on the bill. For a bill of in excess of £250 for two I expect much more and Little Social are complacent if they think this is good enough!
A staff was very rude. The food was overpriced too. Do not recommend
I’ve had two delicious meals at this resto. Unfortunately this third one was not very good. Cold roast food, undercooked vegetables, stodgy pudding. ‘Chicken with pear’ doesn’t mean literally a piece of cold, raw pear on the plate by the chicken, next to some gravy. I don’t know whether the chef has changed or it was a bad night in the kitchen but it was disappointing. The staff tried to sort it out but not terribly well, although they are all nice people. At these prices you expect really quite good food of totally reliable quality. I’ll give this restaurant another chance because on two other occasions it was great - hence the third visit.
delicious and unusual food, lively atmosphere, friendly & knowledgable service
Disappointing actually. Been to pollen street social many times and always excellent, little social - not so much. Food was good but not excellent. Waiter was good but unfriendly. Toilets were surprisingly very dirty. Overall felt like poor value for money. Would go back to PSS but not this restaurant.
We ordered cocktails and then ordered our food and wine to go with it. The wine arrived before the cocktails, which we were not half way through when the food was brought. We had the feeling that everything was being rushed to get the table free again. Given the prices they really should get the service right. Won't be going back.
Excellent- as ever
Food service and drinks were all amazing. I will go back.
It's always great, the food is awesome and the staff make you feel special. They treat it like a family restaurant experience. Love it.
We went on Friday 30 November and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service amazing. The Assistant Manager (Emanuele) was really helpful, friendly and available to explain all the dishes. Strongly advised!
Overall very good and a nice setting. Especially like the booths to sit in, did not feel hemmed in.
The service was attentive, although it could have been a touch more personable. We felt there were too many staff.
Delicious food with friendly and professional staff
very enjoyable atmosphere , great food and reasonable value
I have used the restaurant for business on many occasions and needed to have a lunch meeting within a set time frame. The service was prompt and attentive (when needed) and the food well-presented and slightly unusual but uniformly excellent.
Took my daughter for her 21st dinner.
Service was poor, food disappointing.
I normally love the socials but this was disappointing
Always good .. Great Food & Wine selection. Good value
I met a friend for supper prior to seeing Grayson Perry at the London Palladium. One of the best meals I've had in ages! We chose off the pre-theatre menu, so it was extremely good value too.
The food is good but the price to expensive , wine very expensive ..
Lovely evening, my second time here. Early evening on Saturday still quiet and lovely. Fantastic Cote de Porc, must have!
Get your s**t together! Sorry for the candor, but this place was in my top 10 back in 2016, today it’s in my flop/crap 5! I could write a lot about how awful was my experience tonight, but I’ll state three highlights: 1) Unsuitable loud music, it seemed to be at Topshop....it gave me a headache after 30min! 2) Half of the menu was not available on a Friday night!!! How’s it possible? I don’t know why but the waitress insisted to swap the lamb with the burger, but I didn’t go there for a burger!!! 3) I had to ask four/4 times for a drink my wife ordered before we received the main courses. Obviously the drink arrived when we finished the food.
I asked the manager if the restaurant doesn’t belong anymore to the social eating house and apparently it still does. I fed back my experience after paying the bill, because I was not looking to get a miserable 10% discount, but I wanted to tell him personally how bad everything was. To conclude there’s a positive finale to this story: I won’t return anymore here unless I have to use their toilet
I enjoy Jason Atherton’s restaurants, however, Pollen Street Social still remains to be my favourite. Little social is good for a work or quick, casual lunch.
I have many better meals at Little Social. Today was bland, and lacking. Some undercooked food and others over done. Fixed menu didn’t offer great bake on this occasion.
The little social hamburger remains one of the best in town, and the set lunch at £19.50 is excellent value (burger is also in this deal). Wine and service excellent, atmosphere warm and cosy. My lunch place of choice in the area.
The host was nice but the food was not good . Pasta was very very salty and not tasty . Restaurant has no chili flakes . Burrata was ok. Bread was hard.
Wanted to go for some time but wasn’t great food honestly - very disappointed
Enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant -- it was very relaxed and comfy. However, it was very loud-- and given the fact that it was not crowded, we wondered what it would be like on a busy night!
Food was ok-- not great.
I would recommend Little Social as a place to go if you want to avoid conversation with your dinner companion, the sound level is ridiculous. The food is good but not memorable, I cannot fault the staff or service.
Absolutely love Little Social! The service is always impeccable, friendly yet professional staff who make you feel welcome and advise well on food and drink. Food was delicious - went for the Prix Fix, the burger was huge and came with chips and a large salad too. Would eat there every day if I could!
Quite good service and a nice room. My main problem was the vegetarian food. To offer a basic risotto and some pasta as the only main courses was surprising . Whilst the soup was delicious the risotto was very plain and way overpriced at over £20. It bore no comparison to the food my companions ate.
Really nice atmosphere - great service - delicious food!
A bit disappointed. Staff were polite but distant and stilted. Were I not used to high end restaurants I might have been too intimidated to stay. Much prefer Pollen St and Berners.
As always, a delightful evening at Little Social. The informal bistro ambience, service that’s attentive without being intrusive, like being welcomed by generous hosts into a private dining room, comfortable seating not too close to other tables. And delicious dinner - great seasonal ingredients, beautifully cooked, and puddings that we scoffed before we remembered to share! Was looking for somewhere ‘like Little Social’ a little further away - and of course there is nowhere like Little Social. Gorgeous.
A more afordable but equally tasty little brother to Pollen Street Social. Oysters spectacular, smoked eel and beetroot superb, pork chop juicy and tasty, great cheese, exceptional fresh mint tea. A touch pricey with wine but well worth it.
We were a party of four for a really early dinner (6:15pm) but it filled up quickly. Food was excellent. Service was efficient, attentive and not too cloying. Just the right amount of attentiveness. The atmosphere was busy, noisy but fun. We enjoyed the casualness and lack of stuffiness of the place. Lamb was meltingly delicious, Mussels were wonderful, Tarte tatin (for 2) was superbly done but too big - definitely could have fed 3.
Welcoming and cozy restaurant with delicious food and lovely service
Great food and great service. We’ll go back next time we’re in London.
It was a great experience! Perfect place to celebrate my birthday on 26th of September!! Amazing all round.
Service was perfect in a lovely setting.
