About Little Prince
Little Prince is now open at 199 Prince Street in SoHo (between Sullivan St. and MacDougal St.) This new destination aims to be a cozy neighborhood stand-by.
Featuring classic French bistro items, the menu includes Fluke Meuniere, Bistro Chicken and Steak Frites, in addition to lighter fare such as Steak Tartare, Ratatouille and Mussels. Signature specials include an “off-menu” French Onion Soup Burger with caramelized onions and gruyere.
Little Prince will also feature a frequently rotating beer program, highlighting unique French and local beers and seasonal French cocktails.
Dramatic floral arrangements accent the light-filled space, which has floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on bustling Prince Street. Caramel banquettes line the walls and the wooden bar is warmly lit by classic globe pendant lamps. Hand-painted ceramic floor tiles complete the bistro ambience.

Little Prince Ratings and Reviews
Way too loud. The music is extremely loud which forces people to SHOUT to each other, and since everyone is shouting, you must shout louder so your date/friends can hear you. We felt like we were eating in the NYC Stock Market at rush hour. Such a pity as the food and wine were amazing but we hated the constant, non-stop NOISE!!!!
I met a friend there Saturday night. We had the best table in the house...on the patio surrounded by flowers. The server was just lovely. He was genuine in his being; engaging; a beaming smile; explained the menu; offered recommendations; checked back with us regularly.
My dinner companion ordered the secret burger and had a few margaritas. I ordered well, having started with the heirloom tomato & strawberry salad with basil. It was a lovely combination of flavors. For my main course, I ordered the pork chop which was cooked to perfection and complemented with kale. Delicious. Overall a wonderful dining experience, if not a bit pricey. I must continue to remind myself that this is NY...
The little prince is an experience of a lifetime! The entire staff is so much fun and they interact with everyone walking around handing out tambourines, wigs to try on and just allow you to be silly and have a great time. The food is incredible! I highly recommend coming here to have a fantastic experience.
Arrived on Sunday at 2:30. The place was busy. Small but comfortable. My girlfriend had the French soup burger and I had an omelet. Both were very good. Took a while to order because it was busy but the food came out quickly.
There’s quite a few choices in the area, but we were happy we chose this one!
The food was good... but this comment is on the service , which was lackluster.
When it was time to pay, the waiter took our credit cards and was gone for a very, very long time - the length of time that makes you suspicious about what's going on with your card. Low and behold, my friend's credit card was compromised. Amex caught it, but I will not be going back to Little Prince.
A friend recommended Little Prince, and it ended up being THE HIGHLIGHT of our New York dining experiences. We had a wonderful table by the window with a killer view of the flower market across the street and the many folks strolling by. The service was perfect - attentive, helpful, warm, fast, without being overbearing. The French onion soup was incredible, and my French onion soup burger was delicious. My wife loved her quinoa salad. And the Nutella creme brûlée was worth flying from Dallas for! We will be back!
I was really disappointed with the food after having read a glowing review. I ordered the Little Prince salad. The presentation was underwhelming. The look of it was uninspiring. Everything was chopped the same size and there wasn't enough of the interesting flavor tidbits. The chicken was cooked so plainly (and in my opinion almost undercooked) as to be bland. No bread was served with the salad (which seems like a basic thing to include, and would have made the meal more interesting). I highly doubt I will ever return
Here w a friend for dinner. The order for my food was wrong and when Iasked for the correct order the server mocked me to another server not knowing I was right near her. Totally unprofessional. The food was OK, average. But the overall experience given the immaturity of the server ruined it.
We enjoyed the ambiance and look of the restaurant. The wine was above average and the food was decent. I had the steak and frites - a little chard - but good and my wife had the ratatouille which she thought was above average. We did have a celebrity spotting which also spiced up the night.
We always enjoy Little Prince and this time was no exception, although the food was not quite as good as usual. We always share the octopus appetizer and it was fine, but the off-the-menu burgers were only so-so; even the fries, normally so good, were a bit of a disappointment. A weekday night in the dog days of August might have something to do with the less-than-wonderful meal. Regardless, we'll return.
We usually go here because it's in our neighborhood ands the options are slim[no reservations available at the gem restaurants in the area]. But considering we're neighbors the treatment we get from certain staff is outrageous and I do wan to stress some of the staff, because there is some rapt nice wait staff here . Last time we were here we were absolutely outraged that the *Busboy* specifically decided to skip our table while serving bread. I have not been treated so offensively ever and that too by the lies of a BUSBOY , who can probably barely afford to even buy a sip of water here !!!
Loved Little Prince. Arrived early and was accomodated quickly. Service was relaxed and attentive. Since this was an anniversary date, I let the server pick the wine for the occasion and recommend dishes. He was spot on. Cocktails were delicous. Overall, highly recommend. Will come again.
