Everything was great.
Love this restaurant and the food and the effort they make to keep the staff and diners safe. Our meal was excellent, the waitstaff were crushed but friendly, helpful and all around lovely. Our only complaint would be the table we were seated at - we could have asked to be moved but didn't. It was back in a corner and had a ugly view of a 'behind the scenes' area. It won't stop us from going back and next time will ask for a better table.
Delicious vegan food. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended
beautiful fresh food with creative combinations. food excellent value. wine expensive for casual setting.
Lovely, fresh vegan comfort food. Definitely recommend the fennel flatbread & the piccata. Comfortable outdoor seating for these Covid times. The menu was small but that matters little when the food was this enjoyable!
Always a favorite spot in LA
We selected Little Pine because of their amazing brunch but was really disappointed to find out they only have it on the weekends. We decided to stay but the lunch menu was simple and boring. The service was wonderful tho.
I've never had a bad plate at Little Pine and that was true of our meal last night as well. Amazing service, delicious food, and a solid playlist in the background. Get the broccolinni, the Mushroom Duxelle, and the impossible meatball shared plates for the table.
Great staff, great food
I'm vegan and used to love this place. The ambiance of the outdoor patio is lovely, and the service is friendly and very good. Unfortunately, the flavors weren't as good as they used to be. We enjoyed the caesar salad and the french fries. The meatballs were pretty good. But the piccata/potatoes/green beans were bland. The mushroom toast appetizer was bitter. And the turmeric ginger latte is not recommended. I am sorry to criticize because I know things are hard because of COVID and they're understaffed and offering a limited menu, but I'd recommend that Little Pine reviews the menu and makes sure that each offering on the limited menu is a star.
Great service, staff, and food! Would recommend!!!
Very good food and service. Would come here again and I’m not even a vegetarian 🤷🏽♀️
I was expecting the dishes to be a bit more sophisticated or creative. The vegetables were good but nothing exciting.
All staff members were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and polite throughout. The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!
Fantastic food. All vegan. Nice outdoor seating too.
the food was amazing, and the servers were so kind, the aesthetic of the place is gorgeous. I would definitely return one day again
I was really impressed with Little Pine, the portions were very generous! The service was stellar, we ordered 4 dishes, all came out at once snd the presentation was beautiful. The server was attentive and friendly. The apple sandwich was not to be best! Will def be back.
The food was amazing and the ambience was good!
I’d definitely recommend it for the food; my friends and I had a great time 😀
What’s not to love about little pine?
Casual yet sumptuous vegan dishes. Delightful patio w well spaced out tables.
This was a wonderful surprise. The outdoor dining was very comfortable and the food was delicious. I especially appreciated the caution given COVID.
Mushroom Crostini was very soggy.
Couldn’t order just a side of fries, had to get the burger with the fries even thought they have fries as a side on the menu
Where is the good old pine that’s so creatively and delicious recipes and dishes now is just fatty standard American food
Love the new patio set up and they made the portion sizes larger which is great for sharing. The only downside is that they bring only the dishes that are ready. So we had ordered 6 items and the last one came out about 45 minutes or so after we ordered.
Great service, and awesome food!! The patio was super chill, nice white tables, and decorated really nicely. Lots of plant life around as you chomp their old pals!!! Ha ha... Anyways, great place, highly recommend. The menu is small, so check it out before hand. Even it's small, it's all delish!!!!!
Loved the vibe.
Date loved it.
LOVE! Meatballs are sublime.
I went for my birthday! The food was absolutely delightful and both the host and server were seriously the sweetest ever. 10/10. Will definitely be going back.
We made reservations and arrived at the restaurant only to find a sign that said they had to close early because of staffing issues and they would open back up at 4 pm the following day. I understand them having to close if they were too short staffed, but not notifying people with reservations beforehand is unacceptable. Luckily we found a place close by that had an open table, but if we hadn’t we would’ve had to take another Lyft ride and wander around hoping we could find somewhere else open. Host I spoke with the day before was pretty snippy too. We won’t be coming back.
Return visit after 5 years was a big disappointment. Arriving from the vegan wasteland of Indiana, we were really excited to return to little pine as the first visit was incredible. The menu was very limited, the food was subpar, and we waited an hour after eating to pay because their credit card machine was down. The banana creme pie was green and brown and very disappointing for a birthday dessert.
Staff was very friendly but the quality of food was bad. The Brussel sprouts were extremely salty, no cashews as indicated on the menu. Beer served warm . Panko Crusted Piccata was too greasy and tasteless. I expected more from this place unfortunately I had a bad experience.
As a long time supporter of Little Pine, it disappoints me to say that my recent visit to Little Pine has genuinely been the worst dining experience I have ever had, an experience that I can only assume is the result of a new operations team and chef, as all of my previous visits have been phenomenal.
My experience yesterday couple with an apathy from the staff has ensured that I will not longer be a patron of a place that was once one of my favorite restaurants in LA, which is a shame given the lack of fine dining vegan restaurants available for the Los Angeles vegan community.
coupled with apathy from the staff that was frankly insulting
Going to Little Pine, it was great to be in a new neighborhood dining out. An adventure away from the usual go to places. Street parking was no problem even on a Friday night at 7:30 PM. Meters end at 6. The outdoor space is quiet and charming with tables spaced apart. Having a fully plant based menu is a dream! It was hard to decide. Our server was an absolute doll, answering questions and allowing us time to decide. We opted to share 4 dishes. First, the Caesar Salad, fantastic! Crisp baby gem lettuce with a light but very flavorful dressing. Good umami! The meatballs? Absolutely the best ever! That includes my memory of animal based meatballs. Off the charts! Light yet rich and unctuous. The almond ricotta added a sweet creamy texture. I was not a huge fan of the flatbread, hence 4 instead of 5 stars for food. Tasty sausage/cheese topping but the crust was reminiscent of frozen pizza dough. Needs a revamp. The cauliflower is tasty and served al dente. I liked but my husband didn't. I guess he prefers my deep roasted, charred version. Overall a lovely evening. I could come back every night for those meatballs!!! Will definitely try again and sample more fishes. Love the whole vibe!
I am not vegan or even vegetarian but my 14 year old daughter has been a vegetarian since she was 9. I took her to LA for a short trip before school started. She had heard about Little Pine on YouTube months ago and insisted we check it out.
I will be blunt. It was some of the best food I have ever had.
I am a die-hard meat eater and I am now rethinking my life’s choices. I have been to restaurants around the world and I thought I knew my way around food. Apparently I still have some things to learn.
We will be back.
Left a lengthy review on Google already. We tried to come back a second time to give the benefit of the doubt. Worst finding experience for the three of us. Unfortunately will not come back. Unbelievably inattentive service. Only young busboy was good.
Excellent vegan restaurant and knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Normally my experiences here are great but it was our first time doing brunch and not dinner and something was off. Music sad abruptly changing, my partner’s meal came out 25 minutes before mine so they were done well before I even got my food. No one brought us water until we asked for it several times and we were sitting in the blazing sun. Food was still amazing but we will stick to dinner service over brunch because it seems to be better.
It is a nice place with ok food but not worth driving from Marina del Rey on a Friday for lunch. The sharing plates were not that big enough to share either. Maybe an afternoon coffee or tea would be perfect.
Delicious food, great service, lovely outdoor setting. We shared all six shareable dishes plus dessert- all were delicious. No private parking lot.
Thank you for the great review! Hope to see you soon!
Little Pine is a very cute place and the wines pair nicely with the food options. I will definitely be going back.
